DISCOVER.
DEVELOP. DEFINE.
DELIVER.
This collection consists of three parts, namely “thinking” (ideas), “doing” (project) and “selling” (commercialization). From the suggestions of the UK Design Council, thinking is to discover. “Thinking” is to provide ideas quickly to satisfy customer’s needs through the design competition and to enhance self-confidence on the field after winning the prize. “Doing” is to define and develop. With a project and the innovation competition, design has been out of the idea stage. “Selling” is to deliver. It is a process from producing to marketing, and then taking situational spaces, marketability and usability into account.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY I’m currently studying in graduate school in National Taipei University of Technology. I have experienced in different fields including Product, furniture, graphics and package design. I won iF concept design Haier Special Prize for strike two years in 2014 and 2015. Besides, I won a lot of design competitions included SIGMU Creative Living Wisdom Contest in 2014. In this competition, I had a chance to work closely with SIGMU. During my time in school, I attended various workshops. Those workshops were built up by IDEO, in D- school design method, to show creative service and innovative design thinking. I think participating in the competition and being awarded the prize not only are able to affirme the designer and to increase his confidence, but also, more importantly, could make the designer ponder the breadth and depth of his works. I hope that it could be more commodification in the future and hope I am able to learn how to implement my creative ideas as well.

Catchment Wall could collect a large amount of water splashed on the wall, and recycling.
When we take shower, we always use showerheads. A part of the water will flow from our body to the some of the water will spray onto the wall, and causing waste. With Catchment Wall, bathroom walls will be designed to double level with hexagonal structure and pipes. It makes the water on the wall can be gathered by the trench and slope wall. Then use the gathered water for toilet to reduce the water wasting during our shower time.

REUSABLE TABLEWARE
This is a metal canned food, unlike the common canned food, Spoon Can made a small change to the product design. After a canned food is opened, the lid is usually discarded as garbage. Perhaps the lid can have a functional purpose. Spoon Can's concept is to combine the spoon with the lid. When you open the lid with the pull tab, it will follow a template of lines stamped onto the lid and bend into the shape of a spoon. The spoon can then be used to scoop the contents out of the container.

DESIGN INSPIRATION
The concept of the lid design is similar to the folding lines of origami. We experimented with paper to produce different folds that form a variety of concepts for the shape of the spoon. We studied the relationship between the force direction and the stamped lines on the lid. There are many factors that were considered for the design, such as the speed and strength of the force applied, and whether the user is using their left or right hand.

All in one Generally, when people need a straw for their drinks, they have to open the straw packing. It may waste the user's time and may increase the environmental pollution. This product wisely benefit from the "green" and "convenience" of users. The cup rim will be designed with a retractable structure and a straw will be fixed in the cup as well. Then, people can use

Background & Challenge In fact, the beverage cup would cause a lot of environment issues. When people are having drinks, the wastes of the beverages are the big concerns of the environment, for example plastic glass, Styrofoam, plastic bag and straw. Taking the plastic straw as an example, the amount of the consumption of straw is 3 billion in Taiwan. It means that each person uses a straw in every three days. The straw packing would also cause some environmental problems.
BEFORE Normal

For consumers, if consumers are not good at recycling, they may increas the environmental costs and pollutions.
AFTER
All in one
Ă—3
For recycling industry, if people cannot do the recycling well, they may need to provide more staffs and spend more time to do it. It may also cause a burden on society and the environment.
Solution Unlike the design of traditional cup, the retractable cup environmental and the fixed straw would make people feel more convenient and green.
Straw
Cup
Retractable Structure
In order to reduce health risks and inconvenience, the Cups All In One combines the straw to the edge of the cup. The upper body of the cup is designed with an accordion fold that allows users to press down the cup to pop the straw out of the cup cover.
The inner base of the cup is designed with an inclined slope to allow liquid to flow to the edges inside the cup.
Cup Down
Straw Rise
How to use When we want to drink, it is easy to press down the drink cups. when we’re not drinking it,the straw, doesn’t need to expose outside for a long period of time by pressing down the cup, so it can reduce bacteria infection.
Drinks
Drinks
The retractable design may affect the capacity of the cup; therefore, the design was increases 20mm in height compared a regular cup. The groove of the cup is designed for reduceing the space and shipping costs.
Process
The straw is out of the cover The remaining drinks will flow through both sides of the cup, due to the slop bottom design.
Marketing The benefits for the users: (1)The number of drinks and straws does not match. (2)Better hygiene. (3)Unified the size of the cups and they are convenient to be delivered. (4)People can have the drinks easily. (5)The design of the cup may attract some buyers. (6)It is good for recycling and can protect the environment.

Surveys show that
According to our observations, of all the joints in the human body, fingers are most nimble in movement and the part that is most frequently used. As a result, fingers are more susceptible to injuries. This is particularly true of groups who need to use their hands frequently at work, such as nurses, cooks, painter, worker and students.
CHALLENGE
Unsterile fingers may come into contact with the adhesive side of The bandage, causing post-dressing bacterial Infection
Complicated steps May prevent the bandage from being perfactly pasted onto the wound due to the panic mood.
If our dominant hand is injured, it is hard to wrap as normal.
Participant Observation Method
SOULTIONS WE CHANGE THE BANDAGE SHARP TO CIRCLE. When needed for dressing a wound, Circle Bandage can be applied like putting on a ring simply by gently pressing it to form a circle. In this intuitive way, the unsterile fingers will not come into contact with the open wound and the adhesive side of the bandage, thus, it prevents further infection.

Further,we enhance vitality and shape a model for it to develop a new vision with Taiwan's soft power of cultural creativity.
《埕群結隊》divided into two cases, “Talent Dihua” and “Creative journey”. The former one “Talent Dihua” majorly constructs hardware and beautification. We want to increase the recognition of community and reproduce lasting appeal through hardware construction. Its content includes: Dihua craft industry building, entrance hall imagery, commercial sign, unified design and systematic street furniture. On the other hand, “Creative journey” is to design a travel pattern that suits local development via commercial basis and the power of community. This case includes an integrating information platform named Travel Agency which allows tourists to match and visit this place easier. Also, there are cultural courses to offer valuable experience to guests cooperated by craftsmen and trades. In this way, human resources and business of the community can be integrated to maximize efficiency.

04 COMMERCIALIZATION/ CHESSBOARD WITH TEA TABLE SMART LIGHT
Natural ACACIA CONFUSA-
Chessboard with Tea table
Drinking tea and playing chess is one of the most descriptive images to local life in Taiwan, this scene can be seen in parks and neighborhood spaces everywhere, which is the inspiration for the design of this Natural Acacia Tea-Chess Set. We hope to respond to this need of modesty and simplicity in so that when people are getting some shade outdoors, resting and playing chess, through each move and defense in their game and together with sips of warm and gentle tea water, this natural and vivid image of Taiwan may thus be revealed.

The Taiwan Acacia is an economic tree species of local Taiwan characteristic that can be found in forests all over our plains and mountains; the living spaces in earlier times always involved the Acacia’s companion, including elderly people chatting and cooling off under the trees, or with children gathering and playing nearby, therefore the Taiwan Acacia is metaphorical of the emotional dialogue between people as well as being narrative of Taiwan’s local customs and traditions.
However, because of the Acacia’s characteristics such as its comparably smaller tree diameter, its complicated wood grain, and that it is fragile and cracks easily, they are difficult to process and are not of much economic value.
Heat Treatment Technique Our team has applied the heat treatment technique to Taiwan Acacias, modifying their wood features, we hope to increase the usage and value of Taiwan Acacia wood. In our design, we have chosen to preserve the wood’s natural edges, allowing the core Enhance its ability of the

This collection embraces the natural edges as its main visual image in its design concept, transforming the implementation of the natural edge from a processing disadvantage to a visual feature, as well as connecting its irregular forms to the image of Taiwan’s mountain forests where the tea leaves are grown - this is the Natural Acacia Tea-Chess Set design’s connection between different objects and its original intention, fully expressing the advantages of heat treatment of Acacia wood. Our style of creation adopts the principle of a three to seven ratio in design to nature, seeking the balance between art and design as the simplest response to the aesthetics of outdoor leisure space.
The Natural Acacia Tea-Chess Set is mainly comprised of a Tea-Chess Board and Tea Set Holder. The Tea-Chess Board embodies the natural edges as an image of a river flowing through its entirety, corresponding to the Chu River and Han Border while playing chess, with the tea board area reserved for the Taiwanese lifestyle habit of having tea while taking a rest. The concept of Tea Set Holder also draws from the natural edges, presenting them at the back of the Tea Set Holder so that they depict an image of its mountains, while laser-sculpted carvings portray the environmental atmosphere of which the tea leaves are grown. The core and edge’s feature of its different shades allows the Tea Set holder to portray an effect of a dark base and light top, contributing to a visual sense of stability.
