Greenwood The ancestors are loud in Greenwood, Tulsa. They shout and sing with the rapture of deliverance. They remember bondage. They remember death. They dug the graves. They watched it burn. They still built it up again. The sound of their hope is deafening, Like First Baptist on Sundays. It drowns out the gunshots, The bombs, A mother’s breathless sobs.
