Happy Spring!

As we approach the warmer months of the year, I am excited to leave the chilly winter we experienced this year in the past! I am eager to continue to get to know each one of the Members here at Azario. It has been heartwarming to be a part of a special community that comes together weekly for the unique events we present. The past few months in this community have been nothing short of wonderful.

In March, join us for our first Signature Event of 2024. We will be hosting a Casino Night for our Members. This event will be held on Saturday, March 9 from 5-8 p.m. Get ready for some exciting entertainment, enjoyable drinks, and great company!

Our Lifestyle here at Esplanade at Azario will continue to develop to fit the Members’ desires. The Lifestyle team encourages Members to reach out regarding unique clubs and events they are interested in having on and off-site.

It is great to hear about events that Members would like to have again, as well as new ideas for events. Please feel free to reach out to your Lifestyle team to brainstorm ideas for the future.

Please remember that it is important to register for each event so your Lifestyle team can properly prepare for the events. If you are unable to attend an event you have registered for, please reach out to your Lifestyle team so they can notify a Member on the waitlist.

CONTROLLER

We would like to introduce our new Controller for the community, Troy Mark. Troy graduated from Penn State and moved to Florida in 2014. Troy has over 25 years of experience in the hotel and country club industry and is looking forward to joining the Esplanade community! In Troy’s spare time, he enjoys watching sports with his friends, especially the Philadelphia Eagles! Please welcome Troy to the Esplanade community!

Why did you choose Esplanade and where are you from?

Bellinda and Jim decided to reside in Esplanade at Azario because of the location. They are close to both Sarasota and Tampa. Bellinda and Jim originally lived in North Carolina for 30 years. After they retired in North Carolina, they packed up and moved to Spain for 3 ½ years before deciding to split their time between the U.S. and Spain. They are newer to the community, having officially moved in on October 9, 2023. Bellinda and Jim have expressed how Esplanade at Azario is a great community, where the Members are so welcoming!

What is your favorite place to travel?

Out of all the places that Bellinda and Jim have traveled to over the years, their number one spot to travel to is Europe. France, Spain, and Italy are the top three locations; however, this past summer they traveled throughout other countries in Europe. They were there from May until October before making their move to Esplanade.

What is your favorite meal to prepare?

Bellinda and Jim have a passion to try new recipes and flavors from all over the world. One specific cuisine Bellinda enjoys preparing is Italian dishes. A few other cuisines include Asian, Spanish and French dishes.

What activities and events do you like to participate in at Azario?

Bellinda and Jim enjoy countless activities. They specifically enjoy pickleball, going on walks, jogging around the neighborhood, working out with a trainer at the Wellness Center, cooking, and exploring historical sights. One activity they are eager to attend here at Azario is Trivia Night!

Meet fellow Members with similar interests by creating or joining an interest group or club! Any Member wishing to develop an interest group or club should contact the Lifestyle Manager to receive information and an application. The Lifestyle Manager will then help to facilitate promotion of activities developed by the Members. Depending on the group size and activity, the Sales Gallery may be a suitable space for your gatherings. Contact your Lifestyle Manager for help in coordinating the appropriate space for your club. All groups and clubs must be open to any Member of the community who is interested in joining.

It’s a Wonderful Lifestyle SIGNATURE EVENT

Last December, Members celebrated the conclusion of 2023 under the Wellness Veranda, pool and Bahama Bar. It was a wonderful evening with a live band, delicious food and great community.

Santa’s GROTTO

Families of Esplanade gathered with Santa to celebrate the Holiday Season. With hot chocolate and cookies, the children, and grandchildren of our Members had a great afternoon. Santa shared wonderful stories with the children.

Gingerbread House COMPETITION

Members brought their creative minds for a festive and enjoyable evening under the Wellness Veranda. Lots of holiday cheer and smiles were present. Each team had their own spin on their masterpieces.

Saving the Monarch Butterfly

Taylor Morrison is proud to partner with the National Wildlife Federation, the nation’s largest and most trusted conservation organization

Through this partnership, Esplanade has taken the Monarch Pledge to help save the monarch butterfly by planting demonstration gardens, planting native milkweed and flowers, and educating Members about conservation. Taylor Morrison is proud to have more than 1,000 acres of National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat® in our open space and parks (including, but not limited to Esplanade communities) and have a number of successful monarch butterfly demonstrations gardens already completed. Fun competition took place under the Wellness Veranda. DJ Lalo led trivia night that tested the skills of Members at the game night. Prizes were awarded to our top three teams!

Furry Friends Meet O’Malley & Halo

O’Malley is a three-year-old Golden Retriever. He is originally from Northern Iowa but moved to Azario in October of 2023 and is loving it. O’Malley got his special name due to his pet parent Tracey being Irish. Since moving here, O’Malley has loved playing at the Bark Park and made many friends there. He enjoys taking walks around the neighborhood, swimming and exploring Venice dog beach!

Halo is Tracey’s loving cat. Halo has been missing in Azario since December of 2023, but was spotted in January. Please keep an eye out for their loving furry friend and contact Tracey or the Lifestyle team if Halo is spotted or found.
