Spring is in full swing!

As we welcome May and June, we are thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of events! Join us at these upcoming gatherings, which you can find detailed in this magazine, the online calendar, and in our Lifestyle team’s weekly email.

We have so much to celebrate these next few months! Join fellow Members for a bustling May and June. Our National Food & Beverage Manager, Patrick Scully, will be leading the next installment of the Cooking & Cocktail Series. He’ll dive into the history of scallops and demonstrate the cooking process. In honor of all the superheroes we call mom, Two Blooms will be at Azario to host a floral class just in time for Mother’s Day! In June, we’re taking the party to the pool to kick off summer with a bash for the kids of Azario! There is plenty ahead for our Members to enjoy in this wonderful community, so take a peek ahead to learn about what we have in store.

Our Lifestyle here at Esplanade at Azario will continue to evolve as the community grows. The Lifestyle team encourages Members to share their interests and ideas for unique clubs and events, both on and off-site. We love hearing about events that Members would like to see again, as well as fresh ideas for new events. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Lifestyle team to brainstorm ideas for the future.

Remember, it is important to register for each event so your Lifestyle team can properly prepare. If you find yourself unable to attend an event you’ve registered to, please reach out to your Lifestyle team so they can notify a Member on the waitlist. Meet Quincy

LOVED BY MAX & BOB SHUSMAN

Quincy, affectionately known as Topo, is a vibrant 3-year-old red standard poodle. With his striking red coat and charming personality, he effortlessly captures the hearts of everyone he meets. Quincy finds his greatest joy in two things: playing with his friends, both human and canine, and being surrounded by his family. He’s incredibly sociable and friendly, often seen wagging his tail enthusiastically as he bounds up to greet newcomers. If he takes a liking to you, expect him to cozy up and rest his weight on your feet, a clear sign of his affection. Quincy’s favorite pastime is chasing after his ball with enthusiasm. Despite his playful nature, Quincy is a gentle soul at heart, preferring love and affection. It’s no wonder he’s adored by all in the neighborhood, his magnetic personality drawing people in wherever he goes.

GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

Introducing our Golf Course Superintendent, Rob Buege. Rob and his wife have rooted themselves in Sarasota for over three decades. They’ve raised two daughters here, both of whom are married and have embarked on their own paths, one residing in Tampa and the other in Colorado. Rob has been fortunate enough to have spent all of his career as a superintendent in this area, much of that time being spent at private country clubs. Being here from day one at Azario, Rob has watched this development grow from a sod farm and orange grove to a beautiful golf course community. He looks forward to meeting all of you as Azario continues to grow!

Why did you choose Esplanade and where are you from?

AQBrenda and Tom are originally from Wausau in Central Wisconsin. They chose to reside in Esplanade at Azario because the people were so kind, and they were drawn to all the accommodations that have flourished within the community. With everything they need at the tip of their finger, they have embraced the Florida lifestyle!

What is your favorite place to travel?

Brenda and Tom have explored many destinations around the globe, yet among them all, Aruba holds a special place in their hearts. Nestled in the Caribbean, Aruba’s unique charm makes it the ultimate travel destination. Aruba captivates visitors with its beaches, vibrant culture and

breathtaking landscapes. Aruba holds the key to unforgettable memories for this duo!

What is your favorite meal to prepare?

Brenda and Tom have a passion for outdoor grill cooking! Whether it’s sizzling stir-fry or steaks, they love the opportunity to fire up the grill. They also spend their time at the Bahama Bar, where they enjoy the relaxing ambiance and indulge in their favorite dishes.

What activities and events do you like to participate in at Azario?

From the exhilarating matches of pickleball and cornhole to the leisurely rounds of golf, Brenda and Tom participate in all activities within the community. They have eagerly participated in the Signature Events that bring the community together. Tom had a great time at the Casino Night, where the vibrant atmosphere brought an evening of entertainment. Brenda and Tom have enjoyed this chapter of their journey, where they are being brought together with Members of the community.

Painting WITH A TWIST

Members had a wonderful evening testing their artistic talents! Led by the artists from Painting with a Twist, Members were able to sip on their favorite beverages while creating a masterpiece. The evening was filled with laughter and enjoyment.

Bocce ‘N BREW

Members gathered for a delightful evening of bocce, with refreshing brews between games. They enjoyed each other’s company amidst friendly competition, with a beautiful sunset as their backdrop.

Chili COOK OFF

Azario hosted its Annual Chili Cook Off in honor of National Chili Day, featuring ten talented chefs competing for the top three places. Members of the community served as judges, making it an engaging evening for everyone involved.

Meet fellow Members with similar interests by creating or joining an interest group or club! Any Member wishing to develop an interest group or club should contact the Lifestyle Manager to receive information and an application. The Lifestyle Manager will then help to facilitate promotion of activities developed by the Members. Depending on the group size and activity, the Sales Gallery may be a suitable space for your gatherings. Contact your Lifestyle Manager for help in coordinating the appropriate space for your club. All groups and clubs must be open to any Member of the community who is interested in joining.

On Monday, February 12, Members of Esplanade came together at the Sales Gallery with heartfelt intentions to create Valentine’s Day cards for children at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Led by the dedicated Lifestyle team, they poured their creativity and love into crafting these special cards. With time to spare before Valentine’s Day, the Lifestyle team ensured that the cards were promptly delivered to the hospital, aiming to bring a ray of joy to the children during their stay. It was a beautiful display of community spirit and compassion, showing that small gestures can make a big difference in brightening someone’s day.

The Ringling Museum is proud to announce its collaboration with the Circus Arts Conservatory to showcase some of the most captivating circus acts from around the globe. Prepare to be dazzled and amazed as world-class performers take the stage to demonstrate their extraordinary talents. Opening night tickets are $75, which includes a gala reception at 7 p.m. and the performance at 8 p.m. All other days, tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children (12 and under).
