Happy Holidays! 'Tis the season to be grateful, and we are so thankful that you have chosen Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch to call home! Your Lifestyle team has an array of fun and festive activities planned for this holiday season and there are many ways to connect with fellow Members in the community. One great way is to join one of our recently established interest groups and social clubs. Ladies Bunco Club was a huge success in September and Members of the Creative Arts Club enjoyed a fun, cheesy time during their most recent charcuterie class! Photography Club got off to a snappy start in October and soon we will have a Poker and Euchre Club starting up. Some of our upcoming monthly activities include a Men’s Breakfast on Sunday mornings and Ladies Lunch Bunch (or Dinner Divas for those who prefer a gathering later in the afternoon).

Sunset Sipping has some fun twists for November and December to help keep things fun and festive and our monthly Member meetings are also in the lineup of course! Those who have recently closed on their home are invited to join us for Esplanade 101, where they will have the opportunity to meet with the Community Association Manager and Lifestyle Manager to discuss all things Esplanade. Recordings of our monthly meetings are also available on your Member website, if you are unable to join us in person. Lastly, we are looking forward to delighting you with our final Signature Event of the year - It’s a Wonderful Lifestyle - to be held in December! (Additional details to follow.) Holidays are magical in Florida and we cannot wait celebrate with you here at Azario!

Mike Touhy YOUR ESPLANADE AT AZARIO GOLF PRO If you have visited our Pro Shoppe, you'll recognize the wonderful person featured in this issue - Mike Touhy. He is not only an amazing golf pro, but he is also an integral part of the team assisting Members and other team members with anything they need! You may remember seeing him at Lifestyle events like our Luau earlier this year. Mike is always there to lend a helping hand and enjoys playing golf with the Members and hosting fun events like the Gold Tee Challenge. Love the look of your Pro Shoppe? You can thank Mike for that too! He has won “Merchandiser of the Year” for the PGA for the past 5 years and is nominated again this year! If you have not had the opportunity to, be sure to stop in and meet Mike. You will like having him on the team as much as we do. Leo loves to hide his ball under any piece of furniture and then bark like crazy until you retrieve it for him. He’s also skilled at wrapping himself in garland under the Christmas tree. effery and Brenda Gaines recently relocated from McLean, Virginia to the Lakewood Ranch area. Brenda aka “BG” is the Founder and CEO of BG Consulting Services, LLC (BGC), a federal contracting firm providing information technology and professional services to a host of government clients. Jeffery is a retired Intelligence professional currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for BGC. Jeff and BG have been married for over 37 years. They have a family that they just adore, including two amazing adult children, Jeffery Jr. and Candice, an awesome son in-law Anthony, a lovely daughter in-law Ryann, and three adorable grandchildren, Matthew, Brooklynn and Logyn, with another little one due in February. They also have a beloved tabby cat affectionately named Bailey. Jeff and BG believe the best part about the Florida lifestyle is their

awesome friends, the beautiful weather for bike riding, learning to love exercise and the close proximity to the stunning beaches. They love the Sarasota area and have also found wonderful new friends within the Lakewood community and beyond, including a strong community of family at Church of Hope and Grace. They look forward to living at Azario. Jeff thinks he will play golf, figure out what bocce ball is all about and, of course, hang out with neighbors at all the amenities in the community. They are grateful for so many things in life, but for the month of November they are extremely grateful that they will be moving into their new house at Azario so they can invite family and friends for their first Thanksgiving holiday! They are both proud and honored to say that they are U.S Army Veterans and very thankful for this amazing country we live in.

is with great pleasure that we introduce Patrick Scully, our National Director of Food, Beverage and Culinary Experience as a part of the Esplanade National Team. With the continued growth of the Esplanade brand, Patrick will be instrumental in orchestrating new culinary experiences for our Members, as well as helping to support the culinary operations at our Esplanade communities nationwide.

When he is not working to grow the world of culinary at Esplanade, he enjoys spending time with his wife Gabriela and his two sons, Connor Patrick Scully (5) and Liam Gabriel Scully (3). Ice hockey and golf are two of his favorite pastimes as well as entertaining and cooking for his friends and family. Patrick is thrilled to be bringing his passion for the fine art of service and food and beverage to this role!

Patrick has a degree in Hotel & Resort Administration from Georgian College and has worked for over 25 years in food and beverage, holding various positions over the course of his tenure. Patrick was instrumental in opening the first two Culinary Centers for Taylor Morrison at Esplanade Lakewood Ranch and Esplanade Naples. He has also worked for other luxury resorts, including The Diplomat Resort and Spa, Playa Largo Resort and Spa, The W Vieques, The Westin Charlotte, The Westin Harbor Castle, The Sheraton Center and Le Meridien New Orleans. Between the years of 2007 and 2019, Patrick worked diligently to obtain a number of prestigious honors and credentials within his career, including his level 1 certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and the recognition of earning the highest overall Marriott Food and Beverage Satisfaction and Service rating in North America, while working as Director of Food and Beverage at the Buffalo Marriott Harbor Center. Additionally, the Buffalo Marriott Harbor Center was recognized as the top hotel in North America for overall satisfaction in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
