Happy Fall Everyone! Your Lifestyle Team is busy planning an array of fun, fall festivities with a Florida twist! Some of our exciting monthly activities include Ladies Lunch Bunch, for those who prefer an earlier gathering, and Ladies Dinner Divas for our ladies who prefer the evenings. Also in our lineup is the Men’s Breakfast, Sunset Sips and our Monthly Member Meetings that include Esplanade 101, Neighborhood News and Coffee and Conversation. In addition, we have a couple exciting clubs that are meeting including the Mah-Jongg Club and Creative Arts Club. The Photography Club and Bunco Club are currently in the works. There are also many groups who get together to play golf and enjoy our Sports Courts! Our fall Lifestyle programming will consist of different ways to stay connected and get to know your community. Fall in Florida allows for swimming, so get ready for a Dive in Movie! September will kick off National Yoga Month with a Vino and Vinyasa Series, and members are invited to enjoy National Guacamole Day! October brings even more fun with our Pet Costume Parade, Pumpkin Decorating and our next Signature Event: Bubbles and Bowties! Fall in Azario will not disappoint and we look forward to seeing each of you!

TEAM SPOTLIGHT / CULINARY
Crystal Steere YOUR NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF SPA, FITNESS & WELLNESS
A
s we continue to support the Esplanade brand on a national scale, we are excited to welcome Crystal Steere to the Esplanade National team. Her focus on Spa and Wellness programming will bring a fresh perspective to each community and streamline operations. In addition to a renewed focus on Lifestyle and sports programming, her expertise will be leveraged to create exciting wellness initiatives that encourage Members to live an inspired Lifestyle through building their social network while embarking on their wellness journey. Crystal will be instrumental in the launch of seasonally inspired spa treatments at our spas and introducing our new private label bath and body care product collection. Crystal will also be designing an annual fitness membership program and collaborating with your Lifestyle team to launch monthly wellness workshops, seminars, and expos geared at health, nutrition, and mindfulness. In addition to spa and fitness programming, Crystal will also be supporting each community as their court sports open, working with Tennis and Pickleball professionals to program weekly tennis, pickleball, and bocce clinics, challenges, and events. Crystal joins the Esplanade National team with an extensive background in resort and hotel management in the field of health & wellness. Crystal’s passion for spa and wellness programming encompasses not only industry knowledge, but operational excellence, business acumen, team support, and development. Crystal has more than 15 years of experience in spa and fitness management working for prestigious companies such as Golden Door Spa, Hilton Hotels, Waldorf Astoria, Northwood Hospitality, WTS, International and most recently as the Spa & Wellness Manager at Esplanade Golf & Country Club Naples, a Taylor Morrison community. In her career, Crystal has been awarded several leadership awards such as Manager of the Year at the Waldorf Astoria Naples and recipient of WTS International Basics to Excellence Management Award. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a specialization in Hospitality & Resort Management from Bowling Green State University. As a Florida native, Crystal enjoys spending time outdoors exploring all that Southwest Florida has to offer with her two children, Piper age 6, and Avery age 2, her husband, Nate, and their two dogs Cooper and Lucy.

Furry Friends MEET Oliver – LOVED BY ERIC AND KATHLEEN FINOCCHIARO What breed/type is your pet and how old? He is an 8-year-old Boxer. What is your pet's most unique quality or something funny they do? Oliver is 78 lbs but still likes to sit on our lap! When you travel, does your pet join you or do you have a favorite caretaker? Oliver travels with us if he can, but we also have a pet sitter for him if he can't tag along. What is something naughty that your pet is always doing? Bats me with his paw when he wants something. I think it's a boxer thing. What is your pet's favorite treat? Whole Paws Blueberry & Cinnamon Biscuits from Whole Foods.

Depends on where we go, but usually I have someone come in to take care of her or my son does. What is something naughty that your pet is always doing? She doesn’t really get into trouble. Nancy Borchers The members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. hanneling her passion for art and creativity, Nancy is the fun-loving leader of our Creative Arts Club here at Azario! Nancy’s work was recently featured at Saks Fifth Avenue right here at the University Town Center Mall. Nancy creates Fine Art Embroidery and it is truly a delight to the senses to see the beautiful colors and textures she so expertly weaves on her canvas. Nancy shares: My mother’s early lessons about sewing taught me to be creative with texture, color and design. This creativity extended beyond my sewing skills and into my career as a mathematics teacher. Although the classroom was not about thread and fabric, mom’s influence helped me connect with students in a variety of ways. Once retired, I returned to fabric art with a zest for learning new techniques in stitchery. My business began as “fun and functional embroidery” transitioning to “free-motion” designs. Today I am fully immersed into thread painting my favorite photos. Many years of travel serve as inspiration for my fiber arts. I look forward to connecting with fellow enthusiasts through my interpretation of nature. 7-11 Rule Heading into fall can be a busy season for all of us! Take time for yourself this season to prepare and remember the 7-11 rule. Experts, such as Consulting Hypnotist Shana Rosenthal, say that inhaling deeply for the mental count of 7, holding a few seconds and then exhaling for the mental count of 11 can reduce stress and bring you back to center. If you practice this method regularly, the more effective the technique becomes, which may help you feel calmer and generally more relaxed. Be in the moment this season and enjoy your Florida fall!

Giving Back Highlighting your most recent charitable efforts in the community. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY DONATION TRUCK Beginning in September, Manatee County Habitat for Humanity’s donation trucks will be stationed near the Sports Courts on the first Saturday of each month from 11am to 1pm to allow for convenient donation drop off. THE FOOD BANK MANATEE Three cheers for Azario and our generous members! Thank you for your donations! We filled barrels for The Food Bank Manatee in July and August. Our food drive was followed by our School Supply Drive where we dropped off boxes of supplies to Manatee County Schools for children in our community who need a little extra help.

ABOUT OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH NWF Taylor Morrison has teamed up with the National Wildlife Federation to restore and protect wildlife habitat in our communities nationwide! We are applying National Wildlife Federation’s Certified Wildlife Habitat standards to community parks and open spaces to protect natural areas.
