Hello, Autumn!
Let the sweater weather and pumpkin spice begin! Welcome to the cozy and colorful season of fall! As the temperatures cool and the leaves begin to change, our excitement for autumn activities grows. It’s the perfect time to enjoy the crisp air, vibrant foliage, and the many festive events that this season brings.
Let’s make the most of these beautiful autumn days. You can find information about events and activities in this magazine, on the online calendar, and through our Lifestyle team’s weekly email! Staying active and informed through these channels will keep you up to date on all the fun and exciting opportunities at Esplanade at Azario.
We have many exciting events and activities scheduled for the upcoming months. Starting in September, we will host CPR Training for our Members. We will also continue our Nine and Dine Series, with the final event of the year happening in September, offering golf, live entertainment, and food trucks for our Members to enjoy. In September, we will have our third Signature Event of the year, Boots & BBQ, where our Members can gather and enjoy the fun! In October, we will host a Blood Drive for Members. Additionally, we will have our Cooking & Cocktail Series: The
World of Lamb. As the weather cools down, we will bring back Bocce ‘n Brew and Daytime Bingo! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will be hosting our annual Pickled Pink Pickleball Tournament. Please continue through the magazine to gather more information about these upcoming events!
Our lifestyle at Esplanade will continue to evolve as the community grows. The Lifestyle team encourages Members to share their interests and ideas for unique clubs and events, both on and offsite. We love to hear our Members’ fresh ideas! Please reach out to your Lifestyle team to brainstorm ideas for future events.
Remember, it is important to sign up for activities and events so your Lifestyle team can properly prepare. If you find yourself unable to attend an event you’ve registered for, please reach out to your Lifestyle team so they can notify a Member on the wait list. We are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead here at Azario!

YOUR LANDSCAPING MANAGER
Please welcome our new Landscaping Manager, Stephen Smith. Stephen relocated to Florida from Connecticut in 2012, moving as far South as Key West for several years and as far West as Pensacola. In 2022, he relocated again to Ruskin, Florida where he resides with his wife, daughter, 4-year-old grandson and 10-month-old granddaughter. Spending time with his grandchildren is what brings a smile to his face.
Stephen has been in the green industry for over 30 years. This has included time in the golf industry, hospitality industry, property management of hospital grounds and commercial landscaping. He is excited about being part of a team that wants to make sure that Esplanade at Azario is a beautiful community.
Together We Can
Together We Can is a new Interest Group focused on giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts. Their goal is to support charities quarterly. Currently in the beginning stages of the club, they’re focusing on supporting two this year.
The first is School Attendance Support, whose mission is to reduce attendance barriers for students in low-income schools. Some items they gathered were clothing, hygiene items, and more. They collected hundreds of items to support the group, in addition to presenting a check for $6,450 and other contributions totaling $2,000.
Starting Tuesday, October 1, the group’s next project is Bikes for Kids through the Toys for Tots program. Last year, Azario Members purchased, assembled, and delivered 125 bikes to the Toys for Tots warehouse! They hope to achieve that and more this year, starting early to be ready for Christmas.
None of this would have been possible without the tremendous generosity of our wonderful community! The Members are excited about the support they have received for Together We Can, and they are just getting started! For more information about this group, please email togetherwecanazario@gmail.com.

Gilda is the beloved fur baby of Tryla and Earl Larson. She’s an 8-yearold Blonde Goldendoodle with a heart of gold and an irresistible charm. A true people pleaser, Gilda believes every visitor is there just to see her! She loves boating, dancing, watching golf on TV, playing fetch for hours, and going on long walks. At the end of the day, she enjoys relaxing on the sofa, holding hands with her humans. With her big Doodle eyes, she can melt anyone’s heart. Gilda thinks she’s quite handy around the house and loves being involved in any project. She’s overcome extreme hip dysplasia and a couple of other illnesses, and her family is incredibly grateful to still have her with them. Gilda’s vibrant spirit and joyful presence make her an irreplaceable part of the Larson family!

100% of the tournament fee collected per Member will benefit an organization supporting Breast Cancer Awareness efforts.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, register with your doubles partner and take part in competitive play on the courts with Members of neighboring Esplanade communities, and light refreshments!
This 4-hour tournament will consist of a timed round-robin event for Men’s and Women’s doubles, and mixed doubles play. After the tournament, the top three doubles teams from each event will be recognized at a special awards ceremony.
Both men and women are encouraged to come dressed in their best pink pickleball attire, as we participate in a shared effort to raise money and end breast cancer. Spectators are also encouraged to wear pink and cheer on their home teams!
Registration: Tickets are $50 per Member. Players and spectators must register. Members should register online through our website. We hope to see you there!

Feel Well: Group Fitness Program
Take advantage of our Group Fitness Program, which provides access to our aqua fitness and diverse studio classes.
