Letter From the Lifestyle Team
MINDY NASH YOUR COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGER
Happy Spring!
It’s been a wonderful year so far, filled with amazing events and activities and some new people along the way. As we continue our transition with Troon, I would like to introduce you to your new Lifestyle Concierge, Arezo Ettehad, who started in January. Please check out the Team Spotlight on the following page. I would also like to announce that I have taken on the new role as your Community Association Manager.
I am happy to continue being part of the Esplanade at Tradition family and I look forward to hosting many more fun activities throughout the coming months. Such activities will include, but are not limited to, scrapbooking, our Signature Event: Seaside Social, and the introduction of many more games.
If you recently moved in, welcome home! We encourage you to join us for our monthly Member meetings to learn about your new community and what we have to offer here. If you need any additional support getting acclimated to the community, please don’t hesitate to contact me at Mindy.Nash@TeamEsplanade.com and I will make sure to assist you along the way. Additionally, if you are new to the community and wish to be paired with one of our wonderful Esplanade Envoys, an ambassador of sorts, please let the Lifestyle team know.
We are ecstatic that you have chosen to make Esplanade at Tradition the place you call home and we look forward to providing you with a Lifestyle program that is engaging and interesting. For anything you need, I am here for you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Mindy

Arezo Ettehad YOUR LIFESTYLE
CONCIERGE
Arezo moved to Port Saint Lucie in August of 2020 with her family. She is originally from Northern Virginia and lived there her whole life, while her parents are from Iran. George Mason University is where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Global Affairs, with a minor in Global Governance. While in school, she was selected to participate in the Global Politics Fellows Program. During her last semester, she interned on Capitol Hill with Congressman Scott Tipton.
She is an animal lover and has a home full of loving animals, which includes four cats, two birds, a fish, and a dog. She loves spending time outdoors and in the water. Her favorite outdoor place to visit is Bath Tub Beach, located in Jensen Beach. Some of her passions are listening to music, eating food, and walking around the wonderful lakes we have here in Tradition.
Her goals in life include making a positive difference in this world and helping people, because she believes we are all connected to one another. A good motto she likes to go by is there is no rainbow without the rain. She is excited to bring a variety of recreational programming to the community and is ready to make a difference every day.
Furry Friends
Meet Tina LOVED BY MIKE & CAROL MANNING
Tina is a 16-year-old Shih Tzu, and I guess that makes her a senior dog around here. She was the very first dog to move into Esplanade at Tradition. Since we have been here (more than a year now), Tina has had the privilege of greeting new friends. You can see this is going to be a dog-friendly neighborhood. We were the second family to move into this community. Tina likes to go on long road trips as long as she has her pillow, her mom’s lap, and she gets to ride shotgun. Her favorite past times are when we take her for a walk, and she gets to meet new friends, and people too. If Tina drops something, mom or dad always picks it up. We hope to see you around the hood!
Have a furry family member that you want to feature? Contact Mindy Nash at Mindy.Nash@TeamEsplanade.com to be featured in a future edition of the Lifestyle Magazine.

Nancy & Steve Arietta
The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.
Steve and Nancy moved from New City, NY to Esplanade in October 2022. They are fortunate to work remotely since COVID and decided to give up the snow and cold to start their new life in the sunny south! They sold the house where they lived and raised their family for 25 years. The Ariettas have been married for 35 years. They have two children, Andrew, 29 (currently residing in Santa Rosa, CA with his fiancée, Julia) and Samantha, 26 (who lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her boyfriend, Ryan). They knew they wanted to buy new construction and picked the Port St. Lucie location because of the proximity to their daughter and the “newness” of the up-and-coming Tradition area.
Steve works for Equitable Advisors/Capital Management Group, where he’s a 401k and Wealth Management Specialist with over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. He is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management, is a member of NAPA (the National Association of Plan Advisors) where he earned the CPFA (Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor) designation and his NQPA (Non-Qualified Plan Advisor) certification. He also has earned the AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) designation, and is a member of FI 360. In addition, he is a Past-President and Paul Harris Fellowship award recipient of New City Rotary Club and has served his community as a Special Reserve Deputy for the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office. In his spare time, he enjoys playing softball and golf.
Nancy has worked for AT&T for 30 years. Throughout her tenure, she has worked in Call Center Management and Operations, Vendor Management, Reporting and Analytics and Social Media Project Management. Currently, she is a Project Manager for the Business Mid-Markets team - Wireline Center of Excellence. In her current role, she develops methods and procedures to support the goals of the team and is focused on culture and training initiatives. Nancy grew up in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She enjoys walking and is looking forward to learning to play pickleball. She also enjoys planning parties for family and friends.
The Ariettas are avid NY Giants fans and have been season-ticket holders for many years. They love to tailgate with their family and friends! Steve is known as the “Broccoli Rabe man” for his infamous sausage and broccoli rabe sandwiches he made every week for the games. They love to travel and go wine-tasting and collect wine. They look forward to making new memories here!

2. Ground Stroke – Longer shot to the back court (similar to a tennis shot).
3. Drop Shot – A shot made from the base line area into the opposing kitchen area making the opponent run up to the kitchen line from the back court

Strawberry Chicken Salad with Mint and Goat Cheese
INGREDIENTS
» 1 pound chicken cutlets
» 6 tablespoons olive oil, divided
» ¾ teaspoon salt, divided
» ½ teaspoon ground pepper, divided
» 3 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
» 1 tablespoon minced shallot
» 1 ½ teaspoons honey
» 1 cup fresh mint leaves, divided, plus more for garnish
» 10 cups mixed salad greens (about 8 ounces)
» 2 ½ cups strawberries, sliced
» 4 ounces sugar snap peas, trimmed and thinly sliced
» 2 ounces goat cheese, crumbled (1/2 cup)
» ¼ cup sliced almonds, toasted
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat grill to medium-high. (No grill? See tip to the right.) Brush chicken with 1 tablespoon oil and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper.
DIRECTIONS CONTINUED
2. Grill, turning once, until cooked through - 2 to 3 minutes per side. When cool enough to handle, slice the chicken.
3. Meanwhile, whisk vinegar, shallot, honey, and the remaining 5 tablespoons oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a large bowl. Finely chop 1/4 cup mint; add to the dressing in the bowl, whisking to combine. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the dressing.
4. Tear or coarsely chop the remaining 3/4 cup mint leaves; add to the bowl along with mixed greens. Toss gently to combine. Divide the salad among 4 dinner bowls. Combine the chicken and the reserved 2 tablespoons dressing in the large bowl; stir to coat. Divide the chicken, strawberries, snap peas, goat cheese, and almonds among the 4 dinner bowls. Garnish with more mint, if desired.
Tip: If you do not have a grill, preheat the broiler to high. Prepare chicken as directed in step 1 and broil on a large baking sheet 3 to 4 inches from the heat source, flipping once, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, for 4 to 6 minutes per side.
MAR/APR 2023 ESPLANADE LIFESTYLE 13 CULINARY
The Importance of Staying Hydrated
Fluids are essential for your vital organs and keeping them working at their most optimal levels. The senior population (over 55) is more susceptible to dehydration as they forget to drink water and don’t realize their thirst as much as younger people. You should realistically be drinking 64 ounces of water a day. There are ways to help with this, which include:
» Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink water.
» Flavor your water.
» Eat water rich fruits and vegetables.
» Stay inside when it gets hot to avoid dehydration.
» Dress for the weather.
» Be aware of the signs of dehydration, which include darker than normal urine, muscle cramps, bad breath, fatigue, fever or chills, craving sweets, dry mouth/skin, fast heartbeat, irritability, confusion, or drowsiness.
In conclusion, it is imperative that you stay hydrated, especially in hot, sunny Florida. On these cooler days especially because you won’t realize you’re getting dehydrated as you are not sweating as much. Sweating often triggers people to drink water, where as cooler weather doesn’t warrant that. Drink, drink, drink water!
