From poolside bands, games, and Signature Events, our community has embraced the love and fun of summer at Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch.

How much fun did we have at Esplanade in Color? We danced the night away with neon everything! This community certainly knows how to have a good time, and the on-site team is looking forward to hosting many more.

On the horizon is a monthly Cocktails & Corn Hole Tournament, Surfs Up Pickleball Soiree, Bocce Ball Blast, and Esplanade’s very own Mini Breakfast at Wimbledon Tennis Open. “The perfect time to combine fitness and fun,” says Lori Miles, our new Head Sports Court Professional!

YOUR LEAD LIFESTYLE CONCIERGE

Kylie Laraman is the Lead Lifestyle Concierge at Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch, first joining the team in July of 2022. She is currently a sophomore at Pasco Hernando State College and has been pursuing her Associate of Arts degree for the past year and a half. She is currently in the last leg of her journey to complete her AA degree and plans to graduate this summer! After completing her AA degree, she is hoping to transfer to USF and pursue a bachelor’s degree in business management, and even potentially a master’s degree.

During her free time, she enjoys reading (1-2 books a week!) being outdoors and going to nature preserves and the beach, spending time with friends and family and traveling. One of the items on her bucket list is to visit at least half of the National Parks in the United States and has dreams to travel outside of the country to visit Greece, Italy and England. Kylie grew up watching a lot of basketball with her dad so one of her absolute favorite things to do is watch the Miami Heat play. She tries to make it to at least one game a season.

Kyle shares, “It has been such a pleasure to have seen the community grow and to have gotten the chance to be here for many of the significant moments! Having started here when the team was working in the Sales Gallery, it has been such a unique experience to assist with the opening of the Resort Amenity Center, watching Members genuinely enjoy using the amazing amenities offered here. I am very excited to see what my future holds and am grateful for the opportunity to be the Lead Lifestyle Concierge here at Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch!”

Jake is a West Highland White Terrier born on August, 22 2012. His favorite thing is people. He loves playing with his ball and will run after it as long as you will throw it. He is a terrier, so of course he lets us know when someone is at the door before they even knock! Jake barks like crazy, but will lick you to death when you get in the door, so not much of a watchdog.

Jake travels with us in our RV and especially likes hiking. He also enjoys sitting in the front window watching the world go by. Bill and Marian can’t imagine life without their sweet boy!

Team Trivia is a wonderful time to grab your friends and team up. Teams can be 2 to 8 people, but no more than 8 to keep it fair. Categories will consist of the theme Crime and includes Movies, Famous Bank Robbers, Music, Famous Serial Killers, and History! Plus, the all-famous ending Wager Question! Dress like a criminal for this fun evening for bonus points!

Green Tea Facial Scrub

MATERIALS NEEDED

» 1 green tea bag

» 1 mug (10 - 12 ounce)

» 12 ounces of hot water, not boiling

» 1 teaspoon of raw honey

» 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

» Small bowl for mixing ingredients by hand

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Gather your materials and heat your water.

2. Pour water into mug and steep tea bag for 3 minutes.

3. Pull tea bag out of the cup and squeeze out excess water.

4. Tear open the tea bag once it cools and pour the moist tea leaves into the bowl.

5. Add raw honey and coconut oil to the bowl and mix into the tea leaves with your fingers until combined. Your mixture should be a consistency of a paste.

6. Apply to your face over a sink to catch any of the mixture that falls. Massage well all over your forehead, cheeks, jawbone, nose, and neck for 1-2 minutes. Enjoy this part!

7. Rinse off the scrub into the sink and towel dry your face. Then drink your tea, it should be the perfect temperature!

Why did you choose Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch?

We moved to Wesley Chapel from Pennsylvania and New Jersey 23 years ago and love it here. We’ve been waiting to move to a 55+ community and Esplanade at Wiregrass checked all the boxes. There’s so much to do and we’ve made more friends in the two and a half years we’ve lived here than any other place we’ve ever lived.

What Lifestyle programs are you most interested in?

We love our gym; the equipment is state-of-the-art and we take full advantage of the annual membership. The Fitness Classes are varied, from Tai Chi to interval training. Our Fitness Manager, Dominic Lane, has built and continues to build an amazing program. Socially-speaking, we enjoy Trivia Night, Karaoke, Bunco and the many holiday themed events.

What are your hobbies?

Our hobbies include reading, cooking, baking,and traveling.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received or given?

As the Steve Winwood song goes, when you see a chance, take it! It’s how we ended up here in Esplanade at Wiregrass. In the midst of the COVID shutdowns, we were the first to sign a contract and build here in Esplanade at Wiregrass. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made, and we are so grateful to call this beautiful community home.

We took a cruise of the Adriatic and loved all of the countries we visited, especially Sicily. The cuisine and the history is amazing.

Classic Daiquiri

Inspired by the beautiful island country of Cuba, celebrate the summer season with this classic cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

» 2 ounces light rum

» 1 ounce lime juice (freshly squeezed)

» ¾ ounce demerara simple syrup

» Lime twist

DIRECTIONS

1. Add the rum, lime juice and syrup to a cocktail shaker.

2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.

3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

4. Garnish with a fresh lime twist.

Celebrating Your Resort Lifestyle

Beginning in April, the Esplanade Resort Experiences team hosted a series of Debut Celebrations across multiple Esplanade communities, giving over 1,700 Members the opportunity to meet with the team of highly talented leaders dedicated to elevating how they live and connect within the community they call home.

Both informative and fun, Members browsed interactive experience stations demonstrating the array of concierge-level services and Lifestyle programming being introduced as a part of the Resort Lifestyle at Esplanade.

Those who attended got a sneak peek at some of the upcoming national programs being developed by the Esplanade Resort Experiences leadership team.

The spirited “Salute” station was hosted by your National Manager of Food, Beverage & Culinary Experience, Patrick Scully along with other culinary leaders supporting the Resort Lifestyle. Members got a taste of what’s to come in the world of culinary, including a new SIP Wine program.

National Director, Liz Thompson and CJ Hamlin, National Manager of Lifestyle & Concierge showed Members how they can embrace their inner explorer and uncover what’s to come for travel opportunities with the recently launched luxury travel program, Destinations by Esplanade. Members also explored a wide range of concierge services through Esplanade Concierge, further elevating the signature Esplanade Lifestyle.

Crystal Steere, National Manager of Spa, Fitness & Wellness showcased how to discover your zen with uniquely curated wellness offerings, with samples of the Esplanade private label bath & body care collection, The Spa Retreat.
