community news
From Your Community Manager Hello from your Community Manager! I wanted to take this time to address some things that you can find in your Vitalia Amenity Guidelines, which can be found on the Vitalia website (VitaliaAtTraditionHOA.com) under the Neighborhood Tab > Restricted Documents. Please take the time to review them.
Michael Fleshman LCAM, CMCA, AMS Community Manager mfleshman@ evergreen-LM.com 772-800-2506
This is something that I get emails, phone calls and residents stopping in my office to ask about: What is your staff doing to ensure whoever is here using the amenities are authorized to do so? I have been addressing this issue since day one when I stepped in as your Community Manager. Sure, I can lock the place down and have everyone funnel through the front door to ensure badges and wrist bands are worn. However, at some point this responsibility should also be placed back on each and every resident who utilizes the amenities or brings in guests. I have placed this in my weekly updates and now is the time to implement this process. If you are asked for your ID badge and or your guest is asked for their wrist band, please comply. If you forgot it, you’ll be asked to leave. This is what I’ve been hearing from residents, so now is the time to put it into action. See below some key points that you can find in the Amenity Guidelines regarding badges.
ID Badges
•
ID badges are solely for the use of the individual who is requisitioned the badge.
•
Homeowners that have been placed in a state of suspension by the Homeowners Association are not eligible for replacement ID badges. They are also not eligible to purchase ID badges for renewal or guest passes.
•
Members of the Lifestyles staff may complete ID badge checks in order to determine validity of resident and guest identification. It is the responsibility of the member or guest to have ID badges on them at all times and available for compliance checks.
•
ID badges broken at the lanyard connection or undamaged, but not working, will be replaced at no charge. Lost, stolen or damaged badges should be reported immediately and can be replaced for a fee.
•
Any member or guest without a valid ID badge will be asked to leave the amenities.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at mfleshman@evergreenLM.com or by phone at 772-800-2506.

Textured Acrylic Painting
Due to space limitations in this month’s newsletter, the list of Fitness Classes has been omitted. You can view the list in May 2019’s Vitalia Voice on pages 6 and 8. If you do not have the hard copy, the newsletter can also be viewed online at VitaliaAtTraditionHOA.com under “Things to Do” > “Newsletter.” Current class schedules are also available in the Captiva Club Lobby.
Tuesdays, June 11th & 18th (two classes to complete painting) 9am-11am | Biscayne Room | $22 Per Person (Supplies Included)
This will be a different painting class than previous classes offered. Textured Acrylic Painting is a fun class using a palette knife and paint brushes. It does require a drying time for the first application, so the second Tuesday will be the painting day. Please come in old cloths, as the paint can be messy.

Vitalia Book Club Tuesday, June 11th | 9:30am | Augustine Room
This month we’ll be discussing Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life –until the unthinkable happens. Upcoming Books: July 9th - Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight and August 13th - Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Contact: Adrian Goetz at 772-345-2294.
