CONNECTIONS | A NEW BERKLEE WENTWORTH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY FALL 2017 The Berklee School of Music on Boston’s Massachusetts avenue and Boylston street currently lacks a proper gathering space for its students. This project revolves around the idea of making connections ranging from the human scale to the city scale. It is important for students of a music school to be introduced to new styles of music, aided by simple gestures in the architecture. A connection of a larger scale happens with the reaching across the Massachusetts turnpike. The school gives an image of reconnecting with what was separated when the highway was built but also an image of expansion.

FORT POINT PAVILLION WENTWORTH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SUMMER 2017 This project is a pavillion designed for children on the Fort Point Channel in Boston. It is inspired by the sensation of climing tall objects such as trees and mountains as a child. This pavillion introduces an interactive elevated installation to an otherwise even and uninteresting ground plane. The project invites the user to climb the pavillion and in the process of climbing discover and explore the architecture and construction of the pavillion.

STORYBOOK | CHILDREN’S MUSEUM WENTWORTH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SUMMER 2017 This project is inspired by the children’s book Madeline and the adventerous spirit of the main character. The project aims to instill a sense of discovery within the user by introducing new thresholds to the user which one must pass through. Once passing through, the space and views completely change. This mirrors Madelilnes random wanderings throughout the city of Paris. The large concrete walls that hold the structure up serve as frames which direct the user to look across Fort Point and admire the skyline.

SKETCHBOOK | PHOTOGRAPHS 2015The camera and pen are an extension of the human body. The camera is to the eye what the pen is to the hand. The camera not only can depict what the human eye can see but more importantly can produce long exposures. My studies of long exposures investigate the human concept of time, moment and scale. My sketchbook and pen are always by my side. More than just tools of representation they help me convey ideas quickly.
