RESIDENT OF THE MONTH Beulah Myers was born on Christmas Day in Pretoria, South Africa, to her parents Susan and Paul. After she finished school, she want to work at a government office in Pretoria as a typist. She later went to work in Capetown at a government office when she was 20 years old. She met her husband Donald when she was 25. He was in the Navy. In 1970, they moved to the United States. He was stationed in Hawaii for three years. After that, they were relocated to New Orleans, LA. They lived there for approximately 18 months. This is where their son John was born. In that same year, her husband was discharged from the Navy. They then moved to Missouri. That is where their other son Patrick was born in 1979. Beulah worked at several different places. She worked at Baxter Lab and the pants factory before getting a job at the school as an aid. She started working at the school as an aid. She later became the school secretary for three years, and then went on to be a bookkeeper for the next four. This is where she retired. Beulah stated that she is happy here at RiverLodge. She greatly appreciates all the staff here and all of the wonderful CNAs!
