Aren’t we all seeking to know the presence of peace in our lives and in the world.? Yet so often, in spite of the faith we profess, still we seem to continue to live in a world of turmoil, disease, and death. Applied Christianity demonstrates that there is a way out, and that ultimately we all will and must follow this straight and narrow path which leads us upwards and out of worldly experience, into spiritual freedom, permanent health, happiness and longevity. It is way is the way of thinking, acting, and being demonstrated by Christ Jesus. He said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Early Christianity was distinguished by practical healing. Its followers healed by staying true to the straight and narrow way of thinking and acting which Jesus trod before them. We still have Jesus’ example before us. Christians distinguish themselves from the world through the transformation of their thought, bringing God’s healing power to human lives just as it did two thousand years ago. Like the early Christians, we can revel in the omnipotent healing power of God’s love by learning how to mentally stay on that path, separated from the world, and to live the Christ power perfectly exemplified by the Son of God, Christ Jesus, the best man ever to have trod this earth.
