Lisa Messenger is the vibrant, game-changing founder and CEO of The Collective Hub. Here’s what she has to say about our Winter 20 collection.
W
hat’s there not to love about a collection that embodies power, elegance and strength within.
OZ Design Furniture’s urban collection is filled with pieces that add style and a sense of sophistication this Winter season. I’m usually all about those Boho vibes – I tend to style with pieces that are relaxed in nature and neutral in colour. However, this season I’m being Boundless (just as their collection suggests) and am loving the clean lines, contrasted tones and sense of sophistication this range offers. The collection is so versatile and the textiles are endless. Rich colourways and finishes such as fur and velvet (I just wanted to snuggle up then and there), had me head over heels for a range that I never thought I’d love. I guess that’s the beauty about OZ Design Furniture – the brand introduces you to looks you never even knew existed! I’m not sure about you, but for me, home is a place that I need to feel at peace in. It needs to allow me to work without chaos, in comfort and with a little bit of style. It should inspire and be a reflection of who I am and the things I love. Safe to say this collection is pretty well suited to my persona these days, and for you, your space should do the same. o much of our home represents who we are. Ben, myself and the girls have seen a lot of this world and we’ve collected memories along the way. So when it comes to styling our home, a Boho look really complements who we are and the way we live. Moving into Winter, with elements of gorgeous timber and rattan, the boho trend represents warmth and a gentle feel. This suits our family so well - how could we not pick from this current interior trend! I started with a hero piece, the sofa, we wanted to ensure comfort for our family and the guests that we entertain. The Soho sofa and matching armchair screamed cloud like comfort and style like no other. So we invested! I’m a sucker for things that work well tonally so went on to find other furniture pieces
that would help complement the Soho and bring the room together. The horizon rattan TV unit offered a unique look, but the storage really won me over. It’s perfect for the knick knacks you need but can’t stand have lying around. I love that they are there when I need them, but hidden every other time of the day. Once these key furniture pieces were decided on, the fun really began. I layered texture knowing this was a key element in a Winter boho space. To elevate the room, I added some baskets and planter boxes then styled with accessories to give a finishing touch. Our space has been transformed using collections from OZ Design’s Winter 20 collection, and we couldn’t love our new space more. What a transformation! TREND GUIDE WINTER 20 |
