Yemeksepeti Park Online Food Delivery Office Levent/Istanbul 2017
‘Yemeksepeti Park’ is located in the centre of İstanbul on Büyükdere Street in Levent. It covers an area of 9,283m2 and serves as the Headquarter of Yemeksepeti. Because the company provides services for 7/24, the continuous dynamic life style has formed the base for the main concept of the project. At the entrance people are welcomed with a five floor high gallery with five flying bridges. Bridges all have a unique name and theme color and they bind the floors with the sleeping rooms. Each
floor’s design was based on the different departments’ needs and as a whole the designs express the differences of these needs through use of colors, themes and ideas. The color scheme of the floors were derived from the company’s logo. The colors start with a yellow tone and finish with a dark red tone. The cores include technical rooms, WC’s, and other storage rooms. Kitchenettes are located at the entrances of each floor seperated by semipermable fixtures.

Süper Enerji Office Mining Company Akatlar/Istanbul 2019 Süper Enerji is a mining company relocating to Akatlar, Istanbul. It is a buffer zone designed upon the everlasting rush of the city of Istanbul’s busiest neighborhood. An office that your time is valuable, in where one can enjoy the moments. The project consists of open and private office areas, lounge and break out zones, four different sizes of terraces. Designing process is mainly focused on placing office areas and scattering break out spaces around them. These spaces are created with the aid of unique spatial experiences such as tactile and visual elements.
The building has 5 different sized concrete slabs and 2 levels of steel construction, These elevations are connected with one big elevator and a continuous spiral steel staircase. Main mass is tailored by the restrictions of the municipality and designed by the shape of the additional mass . In order to stabilize this heavy visual conception two supporting role materials were used. Aluminum profiled openings and zinc layered roof. Hence a stabilized facade has been created. The roof has been shaped by the freedom of the poplar tree.By establishing strong relations with the place and nature the building aims to be one of the best examples in the neighborhood.

Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Office Architecture Office Ortaköy/Istanbul 2013
It is a structure that takes advantage of the site being next to the existing office building. Addressing the needs of the modern day architectural office as well as fitting to the name of the historical street that it is located on were the main objectives. It fully takes advantage of the natural ventilation, constant natural light and the facade aesthetics that is permitted by it being a fully detaced structure. It is made up of six floors with two basement levels (1 partly above ground), ground floor level, two open office working levels and a roof level. In order to address the parking needs a
vehicle lift has been integrated in to the project. Low maintenance and durable facade material, textured precast panel and aluminium comfort joinery have been used in the making of the facade. Metal cladding have been chosen for the roof. The building hosts 3 meeting rooms of different sizes adding up to 100 sqm, 215 sqm of open office space, roof level library and the model workshop, archives and recreation areas in the basement floors with a landscape that is sensitive to the existing surrounding. The educational blocks used to be The Tobacco Warehouses, a part of the Tekel Complex for manufacture of tobacco products. The design dates back to 1957 and started to function in 1969. The Warehouses consist of 7 consecutive blocks, all separated by a long courtyard inbetween. The Tobacco Warehouses were registered by the Cultural And Natural Heritage Preservation Board for carrying the characteristics of the industrial period. When the complex ceased to function as a factory, all the buildings including the warehouses has lost their purpose. The whole complex area has been assigned to Ä°stanbul
Ĺžehir University and the warehouses are given the function of education blocks. The poor condition of the structural system of the blocks, nonreliability of the structural system according to the current Earthquake Building Regulations and a level height of 3 m to avoid light in the warehouses, all led to the decision that the building, in its current condition, is not suitable for educational use. The Cultural And Natural Heritage Preservation Board has decided that the building is not in condition to be restored, so the buildings are planned to be reconstructed in its original dimensions.

Cantas HQ Export-Import Cooling System Company Zincirlikuyu/Istanbul 2014
Cantaş Export-Import Cooling System Company has more than 30 years of experience in heating, cooling and air conditioning industry. The company decided to move to a larger building on İstanbul Zincirlikuyu Kore Şehitleri Avenue Number 53 due to their growing business and the need for a contemporary office which would meet the future needs. The scope of the project was to redesign the building’s façade and redesign the interior as an office space. Primary inspections showed that the construction of the building
doesn’t meet the current standards and building codes. Therefore the project started with the reinforcement of the existing structure. After the reinforcement process, a steel frame sloped roof was built, following the codes of the Terrace Roof Construction Regulations, an attic floor was also placed to gain extra space. The existing façade cladding material and openings did not meet the comfort level for the employees nor reflect the prestige of the company, so a new façade was designed. Özyeğin University ES-LAB Innovation Center Cekmekoy/Istanbul 2016 The ES-lab is an Innovation Center located in the campus of Özyeğin University in Çekmekoy, on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. The campus is undergoing transformations and the ES-lab is the flagship building of the new campus. The project consists in transforming the concrete shell of an existing structure, originally meant to be the campus cafeteria, into an innovation center. On a larger scale, the shift in program is meant not only to reorganize the building, but also the campus. Located at the heart of the Educational District of the University, the ES-lab will be the new focus point for the students. The ES-lab itself is a 80m x 40m new facility, located under the ground level, and is organized around a start-up incubator led by the University, surrounded
by laboratories for students from both the Engineering and the Architecture Faculties. A large makerspace links all the various laboratories together by offering services to all students and incubees. The ES-lab will foster interdisciplinary / multidisciplinary projects and teach product realisation from design through to manufacture, bringing into one space various stages in the design and manufacture process and blurring between academic and business spaces. For the two laboratories, we had the opportunity to design them as “social buildings” that foster interaction and team-based research. It was necessary to create an appropriate balance between “open” and “closed” labs, and answer the need for flexibility to accomodate change in teams and projects.

Medina Turgul DDB Advertising Agency Levent/Istanbul 2017
An extensive restoration and revitalization project was undertaken to allow the advertising agency group ‘Medina Turgul DDB’ to move into a salt repository they had rented. The restoration challenge was to maximise functionality while retaining the original character of the structure. Containing 5 separate related specialist companies, with shared backroom operations, the floorplan had to allow for each unit to exist in its own space, while also being easily connected to colleagues in sister units. The solution was to build a series of connecting mezzanine floors integrating the different spaces and greatly increasing the workable floorspace. This was done without cluttering or in any way structurally harming the powerful
nature of the existing space, with its thick stone walls and 10 metre high galleries. The different departments and company units’s workspaces were designed around these galleries. A All the electromechanical installation was designed to go through the consolidated roof trusses. In order to protect the original texture of the building, all the pointings of the stone walls were washed and consolidated with tailormade solutions that were formulated after initial chemical analyses. The result is a building well suited to a modern creative businesses, with various styles of meeting spaces from casual to formal, easy inter-unit connectivity and the sensation of individual ‘thinking space’ all around.

McKinsey & Company Consultant Agency Levent/Istanbul 2019
The new McKinsey office is an interior office project located on the 28th and 29th floors of Ferko Signature and serves to 200+ McKinsey & Company members. There is a clean desk policy applied and users have lockers with reservations for storing their personal belongings. Additionally, all users have pigeon halls for individual mails which they can grab from at all times. The client service staff assistans consist of HR, Recruitment, Project Development, Research + Information, Academy, Visual Arts, Reporting + Legal, IT and
Finance departments which have their own private or semiprivate offices with special needs such as storage, privacy and special meeting areas. In terms of layout, all operational and auxiliary departments are located on the 29th floor. The rooms and open offices on the facade and partner rooms on the core are seperated with a looped corridor which goes around on the full floor. Generally, there is a spatial open-close balance while placing departments alongside this loop. For example, close offices face semi-close executive assistants where open consultant workstations face closed partner rooms. Some pages of the McKinsey Handbook can be found on the further sheets.
The New Office Handbook
The 28th floor, of which one fourth is leased, serves as the client entrance and consists mostly of meeting areas where 29th floor, which has its direct entrance for the employees, serves as the operational part of the office. Users arrive at the office by either using the carpark elevator which continues till the 30th floor, or the pedestrian elevator which stops at the 28th floor. Benefiting both ways, floors are connected with a staircase which also serves as the reception desk. Firms employment scheme consists of 20 partners, the Client Service Staff (CSA) who are consultants of the firm, and the Client Service Staff Assistants (CSSA) who anyone at the firm who doesn’t seem like a “consultant” at McKinsey, keeping engagement teams running.
The most significant and unusual feature of the layout is that two partners share one partner room, which are attached to the core of the building. These rooms are considered as high-class rooms and are usually located on the facades in a common office layout, benefitting from the view. With this priority change, a democratic working environment is aimed, since the CSA and CSSA are the ones who use the office more. Even though these rooms are called partner rooms, they serve as reservable meeting rooms which can be used by anyone in the office. The client service staff, a.k.a consultants work in open workstations which are scattered all around the 29th floor. These workstations have no particular owners since consultants don’t need user-specified desks. 66
Meeting Areas
Including screens and video conference, regular meeting rooms are located on both levels. They take up to 6 to 9 people. 67

Antique Market 3rd Grade Design Studio Bomoti/Istanbul 2012
Bomonti is a historical neighbourhood with so many potentials. One of those potentials was the traditional flea market. Though the flea market attracted and still attracts a lot of people but this market place doesn’t meet the demands of consumers anymore. With this project the main idea of the flea market has been conserved and also iproved by new features such as antique shops for high profiled users and public spaces which are surrend-
ed with green areas. Bomonti region hosting differenet functions and people from various social status, that makes lots of problems physically and sociaky for Bomonti, main purpose of this project is solving a problem with architecture. Designing a building is not an obligation but making this area better is an obligation. The location of the estate connected an urban space with a peripheral space.

The idea was to create a market hall for Bomonti. To bring the market hall into a function and a lively place by creatingan ensemble; with a food market, the flea market, books stores, cafes and a courtyard. Designing process was mainly focused on connecting these functions in to one collective space. Below, there are visuals of these mentioned functions and the idea of it.

One can create its store according to the dimensions of the space, depending the usage of specified area. In order to provide this, special units are designed for unique uses. Standard sized units can easily come together to find flexible solutions.
81
Surrounded by dwellings the market aims to be one of the best examples in this context by establishing strong relations with the place and nature. It is aimed to design in most suitable way, considering the slope, the existing vegetation, the position of the trees and the program requirements.
82
This scenario is a future projection, embracing both slum dwellings and the new demographic. Various encounters of residents from different life styles set up di- verse spatial experiences. When the distinction between public and private becomes blurry, shanty towns transform into playgrounds, fish market turns into a street park and resi- dences grow into new place where everyone belongs.
