ALMERÍA BADLANDS A general review about geological aspects Almería is a province of Spain, on eastern Andalucia; also it is the place with more sunlight hours of all Europe, so as a very arid and particular region. Because it has scarce forests and vegetation, it is easy here to watch and study the geological process on their lands. Rain is indeed very scarce and when it happens, it frequently does it as intense floods that removes all lands, building a marvellous and unique landscape of so‐called “badlands”. Some millions years ago, all this area was built up on the bottom of an ancient sea, whose geological deposits perform the actual territory.
