Team BMR originally began as a motorcycle racing team reaching its pinnacle in the 2004 British Superbike Championship. Along its way numerous motorcycle championships were won by team owner, Warren Scott, including the KRC Endurance Championship, the New Era Sound of Thunder Championship and the National MRO Aprilia RSV Mille Series. Late in 2011 BMR made the switch from two wheels to four wheels and enjoyed many podiums in the Lotus Elise Trophy. The team made the step to the

||| REALISE YOUR DREAM ||| pinnacle of saloon car racing in the UK, the British Touring Car Championship in 2013 with a one car entry. In 2014 the team expanded to a four car team, one of which was driven by former BTCC champion Alain Menu and took their first victory in the BTCC in the hands of Árón Smith. 2015 marks the biggest year since the beginning of Team BMR. While we have remained as a four car team, this year two double BTCC champions are

driving for the four car team in Jason Plato, Colin Turkington, alongside Árón Smith and Warren Scott.

“We started this project because there is very little being done for up and coming drivers. We wanted to create a championship that goes the extra mile for drivers and gives them a chance to progress through the motorsport ladder. The intention is to bring someone from our kart championship into the BTCC within 5 years.” Warren Scott - Owner, Team BMR

As well as the 10 race weekends that are involved in the BMR Touring Kart Championship, each driver will also become part of the BMR Motorsport Academy. The academy will give drivers access to all the resources behind the BTCC team, the Clio Cup and Ginetta Junior programme. Workshop groups will be held to educate every driver of the importance of PR / Media training, fitness training, engineering, nutrition, simulator work and physiological preparation required for a race weekend. These workshop groups will be held

at the BMR workshop, home to the race winning BTCC programme. The drivers will be given the opportunity to work alongside some of the best drivers and engineers in the country in order to help develop their career. The academic side behind the programme will be an integral part of the championship. No longer will a championship just involve race weekends.

“This is what karting in the UK has been crying out for. The engines are the next step forward in terms of technology and most importantly they are great fun to drive. I’ve been around karts for the last 15 years and this is the first championship that I’ve seen and would want to be part of. It is a great way to start your transition from karting to cars! Finally you can let your talent speak for itself instead of the budget, who knows where one year in the BMR Touring Kart Championship could take you?” Ashley Sutton - Renault UK Clio Cup

In 2016 there will be three different BMR Touring Kart Championships with 10 double header race weekends - Junior, Senior and the world’s first Front Wheel drive championship (15+). Both the ‘Junior’ & ‘Senior’ class will be run on the latest Octane Chassis. The championship will be a single make championship to ensure a level playing field, the first of its kind in British Karting. While our Front Wheel drive class will be run on our very own BMR chassis. In all three championships the drivers will benefit from the mentorship of the BMR BTCC drivers throughout * Subject to VAT

t the season, be given a tailored PR / Media / Fitness / Nutritional programme as well as numerous hours on our full motion simulator which is currently used as part of our BTCC programme. We are offering two packages for potential drivers The first is an ‘arrive & drive’ where the kart is rented from the team. Team BMR prepare and maintain your kart to the highest standard, offer set up support throughout each race weekend and look after any issues with your kart. This package costs £30,000* for the 10 race weekends and includes up

to four pre-season test days. The second is where the kart is purchased. This allows drivers to test as frequently as they wish but the kart must be returned to Team BMR one week prior to each race weekend in order for the kart to be scrutinised. On a race weekend Team BMR will be on hand to offer support but it is the driver’s responsibility to mechanic the kart. This package costs £25,000* for the 10 race weekends.

We are now starting to take a 25% deposit to reserve a position on the grid in the UK’s biggest kart championship. A further 25% is payable by January 1st 2016 with the remaining 50% to be paid before the first race. The 2016 calendar is currently being finalised to fit in around BMR’s BTCC commitments and will be released shortly. In the meantime a sample test day at Rye House Kart Circuit can be arranged for any interested * Subject to VAT

n drivers. The cost of the test day is £335*, this includes one on one tuition, a new set of tyres and all other related expenses except for any potential accident damage which may occur on the day.

“I was blown away by the kart after driving it. The idea behind having a one make championship is something that would really appeal to me as a driver, it’s a completely level playing field for drivers to prove themselves. The best of the best will win and that’s what I like.” Colin Turkington - Double BTCC Champion
