We proudly present our Reece Australia catalogue for the 2016/2017 season, featuring premium quality team clothing, hockey accessories and some new additions to our range. In the teamwear collection you’ll find our popular match clothing, supplemented with some new colours, plus a new, lighter and even more comfortable tracksuit. Special Design options are also listed. This season, the sportswear section includes a Limited Edition collection of stylish items that are suitable for all-round multisports use. You can find out more on page 64. The appearance and characteristics of many of our Reece products has been updated with new colours and prints. In addition, the stick-collection has been further improved and expanded with top models like the RX Skill, RX Power and RX. The range offers sticks for all abilities (see page 103 for an overview) and we are very pleased to say that more and more hockey players are now playing with Reece hockey sticks.

TEAM SPORTS NATIONAL HOCKEY TEAM MEN, GERMANY

The players of the German team were closely involved with the design of the national shirts. In several brainstorming sessions, the players and the designers from Reece Australia, looked for the optimum appearance for the team.

NATIONAL HOCKEY TEAM WOMEN, GERMANY

The collar of the shirts is inspired from the beak of the German eagle. This symbol of Germany stands for unity and in this particular case that especially means: team spirit. The dots on the shirt reflect the dynamics of the game, the speed, the highs and lows. The ladies shirts have a fine piping, on the men’s shirts it’s broader and more powerful.

OXTED HOCKEY CLUB, OXTED, SURREY, UNITED KINGDOM

Oxted Hockey Club is the only club to have been in the National League East since it's inception. OHC is a family orientated club that caters for its members of all ages, from 6 to 66. Last season saw the Men's 1st team reached the EH cup semi final, while the Ladies reached the final of the EH Vase for the second year in a row (having won the Vase in 2012).

The collaboration between the reigning champion and Reece started in 2010. MHC Oranje-Zwart (From 1-7: HC Oranje-Rood) is one of the most successful clubs in the Dutch hockey league. The Eindhoven hockey club was founded in 1933 and can still enjoy growing popularity and increasing media attention. Ton van der Schoot, board member of MHC Oranje-Zwart, about Reece: "Reece Australia is an inspiring partner. As MHC OranjeZwart we reach for the highest level. The innovative and professional nature of Reece fits well with that."

NATIONAL HOCKEY TEAM MEN, BELGIUM

The design of the Belgian uniforms is closely related with the symbol of the country. In letters of gold it contains the magic words L’union fait la force, or Unity is strength. This sentence forms the base of the design. Also the mantle of the weapon is reflected in the shirts: the shape of the white spots on the inside of the red cloak is incorporated into the mesh of the shirts.

MHC ORANJE ZWART, EINDHOVEN, NETHERLANDS

SV KAMPONG HOCKEY, UTRECHT, NETHERLANDS

SV Kampong and Reece are two parties who both prefer long-term relationships. That's one of the reasons why we fit well together. Also we both passionately aim for the highest possible result. SV Kampong was founded in 1935 and now has more than 3000 members. The first men’s team is a eight-time Dutch champion in field hockey, the first women’s team won the national championship three times now.

A special design shirt can be designed based on sublimation or cut & sew technique. In case of sublimation the design is fully pressed into the shirt, including sponsor logos and club logo. Thus any design is possible, in any colour. With cut & sew, separately deployed colour patches are sewn together. A choice can be made from different collars and the club logo can be embroidered. The Reece special design socks are available in 18 colours. The socks don’t shrink, are washable up to 60 degrees and available in many sizes. The socks are made of 92% polypropylene and 8% elastane. HOCKEY STICKS

Every hockey stick from the Reece Australia collection offers top quality and performance. This explains why our brand ambassadors, who play field hockey at the highest level and also many amateur players each week, have made Reece their preferred choice. Several top players from the Dutch premier hockey league and from the German national team (Christopher Zeller and Mats Grambusch) play with a stick from the Reece collection. With their own specific needs and preferences, they have chosen a stick from the Reece range that precisely fits their playing style. That is how we develop our collection of Reece sticks: young or older, professional or amateur, Reece always has a stick that corresponds exactly to your needs. Each stick of Reece has its own material mix which results in a specific stiffness and the associated properties. In addition, the bend, the balance point and the length of the stick are important as these differences determine personal preferences and playing styles.

MATERIAL

Most of our junior sticks consist of a combination of wood and fiberglass. While most senior sticks are made of synthetic material ,combinations of carbon, kevlar, aramid and fiberglass. The ratio between these materials is decisive for the stiffness, the weight and feel of the stick. 250 mm The percentage of carbon in a stick is an important indicator of the stiffness. The stiffer the hockey stick, the lower the energy loss in the bend of the stick. For this reason, players often choose sticks with a high carbon content when they’re playing with strength and power. A less stiff stick enhances ball control. MEDIUM BOW

Also, the curvature of a hockey stick is a very key feature. The curvature of the stick is referred to in millimetres and varies between 22 300 mm mm and 25 mm (with Reece). The greater the curvature, the more technical the game of the player often is. Playing with a strong curvature therefore requires some practice. Hockey sticks are available fromREGULAR size 24”BOW up to size 36,5”. Especially for children it is important to purchase themm right size 350 stick. Too short a stick decreases the impact force and has a negative influence on the body posture. QUALITY ADDITIONS

Besides the excellent properties of the core Reece sticks, some of our hockey sticks are equipped with various high quality additives.

NANO TUBE TECHNOLOGY

Sticks with this technology are made of hyper carbon fibre for even more power and feel. Hyper carbon provides high impact reduction and captures hard balls easily.

IDS

The IDS abbreviation stands for Integrated Damping System. The cap of the grip of the stick reduces vibration. This reduces the chance of arm injuries and allows for a smooth passage of the ball.

ULTRA LIGHT WEIGHT

With ultra light weight sticks, dribbling uses less force. In combination with a high carbon content, this delivers a light weight stick that allows the player to hit the ball hard.

XL-GRIP

Because many players have indicated that they find a longer grip more pleasant when playing, many sticks of Reece have an extra long grip.
