miss out on. The PDC organizers give outstanding guidance that makes being a Host not stressful at all.
”
This is a call to all Pacific Dental Conference attendees to consider taking on a key role at the conference by becoming a Host to one of our over 100 speakers. Is there a speaker at the conference whom you would like to meet? Becoming a Host provides a perfect opportunity for you to communicate with your favourite presenter! The PDC has a reputation among speakers for its hospitality and this is mostly due to the Hosts who help make the speaker’s experience in Vancouver a pleasant one. It’s a rewarding experience with some perks! If you host a speaker, you will be credited your registration fee following the conference. What exactly does a Host do? Hosts are the liaisons between the Pacific Dental Conference and the speakers and have the prime responsibility to ensure their stay and presentation at our meeting is a positive experience. Duties of a host include: • introducing your speaker at the presentation • monitoring the presentation • accompanying your speaker to breakfast or lunch in the Speaker’s Lounge • thanking the speaker at the end of their presentation A full Host Package is sent to you well in advance of the conference with detailed information on the duties of a Host. In addition to this, the Pacific Dental Conference holds a Host Wine & Cheese Reception just prior to the conference where you will have the opportunity to meet other Hosts, have a tour of the Vancouver Convention Centre and receive a verbal overview of the tasks ahead of you. Interested? Once you have completed the registration process, simply click on the button “Volunteer for Hosting” and follow the instructions. If you have already registered, please access your existing registration and click on “Volunteering for Hosting”.

A Celtic Celebration – “Beer, Wine and Tiller’s Folly”
Thursday, March 17, 2016 6:00pm – 10:00pm Vancouver Convention Centre - West Ballroom Foyer
Welcome to St. Patrick’s Day at the PDC. We kick off the first day of the 2016 Pacific Dental Conference with a party that celebrates Canada and Ireland all in one festive evening! First we start with a beer and wine tasting event. Parallel 49 Brewing is one of the fastest growing breweries in Canada and found its roots in our very own East Vancouver. Step up to the tasting bar to sample Jerkface 9000, Gypsy Tears Ruby Ale or Filthy Dirty IPA to name a few! The wines you will be sampling are from this great grape bearing country of ours – East to West! Wine Whisperer David Lancelot has worked his magic once again sourcing the best products from Canada’s top, talented winemakers! Enjoy the Celtic sounds of Tiller’s Folly as you sample the wide range of beverages and make your way to the various buffet stations. As the evening progresses, the band moves away from its Irish roots and gets the dance floor filled as the night changes to a party of PDC proportions! Co-sponsored by: Get your shamrock on at the PDC!
