Hollywood Ar chives

By W illiam J. Felchner

‘Classic James Bond Movie Memorabilia’ Ian Fleming’s classic James Bond character first came to the silver screen in 1962 with the release of Dr. No. Featured in the starring role of British secret agent James Bond a.k.a. 007 was Sean Connery, who would go on to play Bond in a total of seven films, with his final outing coming in Never Say Never Again (1983). The James Bond saga is one of the most successful movie franchises in Hollywood history, numbering 23 feature-length films to date - and yes, more are on the way. The most recent entry is Skyfall starring Daniel Craig as the irrepressible Bond. Here are 15 classic James Bond movie posters and other cinematic artifacts that no 007 fan should live without. Grab your checkbook, as some of these items can be a bit expensive… 1. Dr. No (1962). Sean Connery kicks off the franchise as James Bond, frolicking with Bond girl Honey Ryder (Ursula

The Cold War definitely heats up in this one. Many collectors are partial to the original eight-card From Russia with Love lobby set, which was displayed in movie theater lobbies to promote the picture. One set in fine/very fine condition sold at auction for $253. 3. Goldfinger (1964).
