Nearby towns, the rolling countryside, and the abundant flora and fauna all proved to be excellent sources of inspiration. A unique exhibition dedicated to Tasha Tudor, “Tasha Tudor: Around the Year,” runs through December 31, at the Fenimore Art Museum in historic Cooperstown, New York, and presents more than one

sures to be enjoyed in this exhibit are evocative watercolors, delicate childhood drawings, original handwritten manuscripts, miniature doll cards, hand-decorated boxes and Easter eggs, and first-issue holiday cards. Spanning seven decades, Tasha Tudor’s touching images, which were provided on loan by the Norman Rockwell Museum located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, will remind visitors of the simple pleasures of each passing season and the special moments that weave into the fabric of our lives including the Christmas holiday. Tasha Tudor’s formative years were spent in New England. She lived in Marblehead, Massachusetts, until she was nine, and had ample opportunity to watch her mother paint, learning by her example. When her parents divorced in 1924, and for some years afterwards, she lived with family friends in western Connecticut. There, she thrived in an unusually free and creative environment. Her mother, Rosamond Tudor, moved to Greenwich Village to advance her artistic goals, and Tasha visited her there, where she experienced New York City’s cultural richness. When Tasha Tudor was in

It’s back! The Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its 13th December Antiques and Collectibles Show on Saturday and Sunday, December 1st and 2nd at the new Long Branch Middle School in Long Branch, New Jersey. There will be something for everyone - whether you’re a beginning or seasoned collector, interior decorator, a homeowner looking for something to add to your décor, or a holiday shopper looking for that unique gift. Have an antique or collectible and do not know what it is worth? Appraisals will be available, at $5 per item, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
