We also support arts and cultural organisations ranging from major institutions such as theatres and museums, to individual artists and everything in between. Throughout the year we host regular events for training, CPD and networking with the aim of helping schools, organisations and artists improve the quality of the creative education that they offer.

Re-designed by schools for schools in 2015, Artsmark will help you to embed arts and culture in your whole school improvement plan. It provides a framework and resources to assess current provision and to develop a plan of action to suit your own setting. It can provide evidence of how your school is meeting the social, moral, cultural and spiritual Ofsted requirements. The Artsmark offers you tools and support to enrich, develop and strengthen your school’s arts and cultural provision across the curriculum and the school community. Artsmark also celebrates your school’s strengths and helps you to share them with the wider world. Achieving an Artsmark Award is an approximately 2 year process comprised of the following steps.

ARTS AWARD
FOR Anyone who works with children & young people.
COST Discover & Explore: £149 Bronze & Silver: £199 Gold: £129
Arts Award is a range of 5 qualifications (Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold) that anyone up to age 25 can complete. It motivates and celebrates children and young people’s artistic achievements. Children and young people gain new knowledge and understanding of their chosen art form and the wider arts world as well as the opportunity to work with creative industry professionals. Children & young people undertaking Arts Award are supported by Arts Award Advisers. Becoming an Arts Award Adviser requires completing a training session, after which you’re fully qualified to deliver this qualification at the level(s) you’ve attended training for. You can start the delivery of Arts Award at any level, depending on the age range you work with. Progression through the levels is encouraged but it’s not a requirement to work through them all from the beginning. IVE can provide tailored support to help you find the best way to deliver Arts Award. If you are unable to make any upcoming training dates, we can arrange to deliver Arts Award Adviser training in-house. Please contact us for a quote to deliver this training.

Arts and cultural organisations and practitioners
£45
Arts Council England has developed a set of Quality Principles’ to underpin high quality work with, by and for, children and young people. Our popular and successful structured support programme allows you work alongside a small group of peers in the arts and culture sector to: • Identify an area of your current practice where you’d like to actively explore one or more of the quality principles. • Create shared space and time for you to critique and share the ways in which you monitor, review and reflect on the impact of your work. • Identify and reflect upon the changes in practice that this brings about and consider how to embed new practice/thinking. • Share your journeys more widely at an event for other arts and cultural organisations across the region. The programme consists of 3 half-day group sessions (you need to attend all sessions) and a final open sharing event.

This is known as Unconscious Bias, and in this workshop you will gain an understanding of what unconscious bias is, how your brain makes incredibly quick judgements and assessments of people and situations without you realising and how this impacts on your decisions.
