Balloon Imaginary Words by Elizabeth KildevĂŚld
I was highly exited when I entered the Copenhagen Town Hall a sunny afternoon in the beginning of August. The weather was great, and I had been looking forward to watch the Stine Goya SS12 show. At the back-stage area a lot of models were being dressed, while a few others were styled with make-up. I was already impressed by the beautiful colours and the amazing glow, which was appearing in the make-up for the SS12 show. When I spoke to Mina Ingerslev, the key make-up artist from Max Factor, she told me the make-up for the show was inspired by Stine Goya herself. Suddenly the models were wearing red wigs and the show was ought to begin. The first
model on the black catwalk was dressed in white.
Elizabeth Kildevæld It was a lovely outfit with a cute shirt and a loose pair of pants, and I consider it truly beautiful with an all white outfit to begin with. Then the show was overwhelmed by a lot of colours like peach, orange, black, blue, and white. I fell in love with one of the many knits in yellow which was made of angora. Furthermore, a lot of jumpsuits and shorts were being showed. Stine Goya played with a lot of patterns like flowers, stones, dots, and of course balloons, made of stones. There were as well a lot of beautiful textiles, and from the spectator seats, everyone could feel the silk, cotton and angora. If I were ought to make a short review of the ‘Balloon Imaginary’ show, then I believe Stine Goya is a brilliant designer, and she sure is a ‘talented soul’, but on the other hand I consider the SS12 collection very hard to style. I believe the collection is for a few, but self-confident women, and not just for everyone. Stine Goya really creates a whole universe, and not just a single item.
I left the Copenhagen Town Hall satisfied and truly inspired by Stine Goya’s universe.

MADSEN Born and raised in Denmark, Anne Sofie Madsen studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Design. Anne Sofie Madsen trained under John Galliano for Dior in Paris and worked for acclaimed trend forecasters Peclers, before moving to London to work for Alexander McQueen as Junior Designer. With an impressive resume Anne Sofie Madsen debuted with her couture-inspired collection during London Fashion Week in 2010, announced by the Vauxhall Fashion Scout as a new rising talent. Anne Sofie Madsen launched her eponymous label followed by the debut of her SS12 capsule collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2011 which was described by American Vogue as being; “(…) an impressive runway debut for a designer whose work experiences chez Galliano and McQueen have clearly paid dividends.” - Hamish Bowles, American Vogue
