IMPORTANT: Perform a visual inspection of the Rugby Lifter before each use. Check welds, bolts and the wire rope for any visual damage or degradation. Do not use the lifter if any damage is present.

Attach the Winch (A) to the Winch Arm (1).

IMPORTANT: Complete step 2 only if you are assembling Millennium Rugby posts

Millennium Rugby only - Attach the Mount Bracket (B) to the Bottom of the Winch Arm using the Axle Bar (Q) and two R-Clips (O).

Attach the Winch Arm to the Wheel Arm (2). Do not over tighten bolts, ensure the Lifter can pivot about the M20 Bolts after assembly.

Feed the non-looped end of the Wire Rope (R) through the Sheaves on the Lifter as shown.

Securely fix the end of the Wire Rope into the drum of the Winch using the clip and set screw provided. Attach the Karabiner (D) to the looped end of the Wire Rope and clip it to the pad eye on the Wheel Arm. HINT: Use a wedge to hold the lifter in a managable position when fitting the Wire Rope.

Assemble the Rugby Post Hinge as per the product instructions, such that it can pivot about the front hinge bolt and place in the socket.

WARNING: Ensure recommended PPE is worn for the remainder of the assembly. Double check all fixings and ensure the wire rope is running in the sheaves before continuing.

Lay the top hinge onto the Lifter and assemble the upright as per the product instructions.

Top Upright

INFORMATION: Bow in the rugby post during assembly is normal.

WARNING: Do not, at any point during assembly, stand underneath the rugby post.

Using the winch, raise the upright until it stands vertical. Insert the rear hinge bolt and two fixing bolts as per the product instructions. Ensure these bolts are securely fixed before removing the Rugby Lifter. Complete the upright assembly by inserting the final two fixing bolts.

Follow the product instructions to correctly level the upright.

Repeat for the second upright and follow the remaining product instructions to complete assembly.

Operating Instructions | Aluminium Rugby 19mm

Assemble the Rugby Post Hinge as per the product instructions, such that it can pivot about the rear hinge bolt and place in the socket.

Attach the Rugby Lifter to the hinge using the Ali Rugby Spacer (C), Axle Bar (Q) and two R-Clips (O). Slide the Axle through the Winch Arm, Ali Rugby Spacer and the rugby hinge. Remove the rear bolts fitted in step 1 after attaching Lifter.

Lay the top hinge onto the Lifter and assemble the upright as per the product instructions.

Top Upright

(RUG-210/211 only)

Bottom Upright

WARNING: Do not, at any point during assembly, stand underneath the rugby post.

If raising both posts simultaneously, assemble the second upright as above and attach the crossbar as per the product instructions before raising.

Using the winch, raise the upright(s) until it stands vertical. Insert the hinge bolt and four fixing bolts as per the product instructions. Ensure these bolts are securely fixed before removing the Rugby Lifter. Complete the upright assembly by inserting the front hinge bolt.

If raising the posts individually, repeat for the second upright and follow the remaining product instructions to complete assembly.
