Alyson Gurney is the 23-year-old Washington D.C.based artist behind Little Felted Friends: a viral Instagram account and brand where she handmakes little felted replicas of animals for customers and fans. Gurney's felting journey began with sculpting a miniature version of her own dog, Drift, and then she started doing the same for friends. When she began posting her creations online, her account went viral virtually overnight and her hobby instantly turned into a full-time career. Gurney has felted for stars including Kelly Clarkson, Paris Hilton, and Michael Strahan and has been featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show , Bored Panda , The Daily Mail , FOX News, and more. She graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design.

When Alyson Gurney adopted a six-week-old puppy that had been found along the side of a road in a snowdrift, the aptly-named Drift sparked the inspiration for Gurney's business: Little Felted Friends, which combines her graphic design degree with artistry in needle felting.
