What APS Therapy Does APS Therapy uses a micro current to stimulate the body´s natural nerve impulse resulting in the release of specific neuro-hormones by the body and causing ten important things to happen:

Relief of pain - both acute & chronic Reduces inflammation & swelling Limits tissue damage Increases mobility in stiff joints Improves various chronic diseases Heals wounds Heals bone fractures Tissue regeneration Increases energy Regeneration of ATP

How the Body Responds to Trauma When a muscle experiences trauma it goes into spasm to protect itself. This decreases blood supply reducing the amount of oxygen and nutrients that reach it. Due to the constriction of the muscle, the injured site has a much higher electrical resistance than that of the surrounding tissue. The body's own action potential nerve impulses avoid the area of high resistance and take the easiest path, generally around the injury. The decreased electrical flow through the injured area decreases the cellular capacitance (the ability of a body to hold an electrical charge) and as a result, healing is impaired.

How APS Therapy Works The APS Therapy is an exact replication of the body’s microcurrent and application to an injured site augments the current flow. This allows the traumatised area to regain its ability to hold an electrical charge (capacitance). The resistance of the injured tissue is then reduced, allowing bioelectricity to enter the area to re-establish homeostasis.

Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) is the cell's main energy source and an essential factor in the healing process. Large amounts of ATP are required in cells to control primary functions such as the movement of vital minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium, in and out of the cell. It also sustains the movement of waste products out of the cell. Injured cells are deficient in ATP. As the APS Therapy has been clinically proven to replenish ATP which enables nutrients to flow into injured cells and waste products to flow out. This is rudimentary for the development of healthy tissues. ATP also provides the energy tissues require to build new proteins, increase protein synthesis and increase membrane transport of ions.

APS Therapy is Not a TENS Device Unlike Tens devices which only suppress pain, APS Therapy inhibits pain, improves the condition of the body and stimulates the body’s self healing power. Where TENS just addresses the symptoms, APS Therapy offers a lasting solution. For a detailed comparative table see our website

APS Therapy Testamonials APS Therapy has been used extensively by sports professionals such as Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Ernie Els, Elana Meyer and US baseball star Ken Griffey Jr.

Dr. Chris Barnard, the famous surgeon who performed the world’s first heart transplant was the first medical professional to endorse APS Therapy. Since then there have been many people in the medical & health care fields who have endorsed APS Therapy.

Image 3 just 5 minutes after treatment showing the obvious reduction & upward movement of the hot spots. Image 4 taken 10 minutes after treatment and shows the hot spots have almost gone & the body is ejecting the problem substances. The APS Therapy device won the gold medal at the 1998 International Invention Show (Medical Category) in Geneva, Switzerland
