For those of us that love to photograph rust and its associated colours and textures, this wonderful place is a gold mine of opportunity. There are over 4000 vehicles dating back to 1926 in this mechanical, melancholic, graveyard of metal memories. The sun beats down on us as we wander, mesmerised for hour after hour and oblivious of the heat from the harsh Australian sky. We search for yet another chrome emblem, more crazed, pealing, paintwork on rusty bonnets, all overgrown and hidden by tall grasses and guarded by silent snakes‌ Feast your eyes on some Vintage Wrecks.
