have, to be honest, one of the hardest things that creatives is giving up the need for validation. in fact, i’m sure many of you don’t even feel qualified to be labeled a creative—a poet, a writer, a painter, a sculptor unless your work has been actively marketed to the public and received a hardy amount of facebook thumbs up. to be honest, that’s a big reason why creative sparks fizzle out. if i can’t sell it what’s the use of investing my time? the truth is you need to carve out time for the creative, because as the creative heart is a muscle that doesn’t keep pumping at it’s prime unless it’s allowed outside to play. @johncleese, one of the people on my creative genius top ten list, revealed the secret behind coming up with brilliant ideas:

“creativity is not about the possession of some special talent. it’s about the willingness to play.” just keep creating for the sake of your soul. throw paint on the walls of your world even if you are the only one who gets it. market to an audience of one—that’s you. and most importantly don’t be afraid to roll your windows down so others can be inspired by the original soundtrack being written in you—whether or not you get a thumbs up.

you may be able to take an ipod everywhere you go, but every time i see a wurlitzer jukebox it just sucks me in... like a crazy magnet.

chrome and fonts...it’s like the most endearing fireplace that has it’s own soundtrack on shuffle.

i would have loved to interview the creative mind behind the wurl...

it would be pretty cool to be a living jukebox.

or better yet just have had the opportunity to watch his brilliant mind at work... I wonder if he was creating a music box from and the crazy thing is, i think it outer space...dreaming of his has that power on most people I next sci-fi novel. see who have a chance to be in the same room with them. the funny think about this beautiful, elaborate styles of this it just takes a few minutes in a music filled jukebox artwork is 50s diner until my girls are that it as released just after the running up to the jukebox and second world war. begging me for all the coins in my wallet to put on tunes by i bet the design was perfectly elvis, the everly brothers, fats poised to market as a beautiful domino or brenda lee. distraction to those people looking for a placed to come to be honest, i’ve never seen together... to celebrate the good anything quite so extraordinary things in life... a place to relax in the history of how we case and dream.... a place to our music. somehow musical imagine...a space to create. history just sounds so much better when it’s blaring out of in fact, when i think about it that this crazy blinged out box could be my life’s aspiration...

creative stretch

take the post-it challenge you know what i love about books today...they can be so small. seriously, post-it small.

cause goodness knows i don’t have a lot of time to invest in reading novels...

15 words or less on a pretty picture, quick someone sign me up! well, my friend writing is the same way... and I think the beauty in the post-it focus it is that it is an exercise that can make you

write really tight.

every word has to mean something or honey it doesn’t lend to

the soundbyte—it has got to go. and with technology finding picture inspiration as your writing prompt and writing on your coffee break, in a long check out line is easier than ever or following a group of pokemoners. so each day i challenge you to take 15 minutes and look at a picture, or think about a song, a bible verse, a poem and write anything your mind pulls to the top of it. (i use notes or pages

adobe spark or word swag for your phone and make some quote, thought or verse bling. and this is most important, put it up. on your instagram, your facebook or twitter, or send it to a friend ho might need encouragement or a laugh. do one pin a day for a week and it will become a fun hobby. and soon one day, like me, you will have your on pinthology... a book created one post-it at a time.

on my iphone for my quote journal.) then grab one of those picture app programs like

p.s. be sure to check my #barefacedpinthology gallery out on my website barefacedgirl.com, and get those creative sparks flying.

she responded, “would that “amber, if a bird flew right bird talk to you?” over to my window just now, would you say that i said, “MAYBE, was something just special but that only might for you?” be in reference to everyone else’s lack of I said, “of course. that’s because imagination... and to hit I take time to notice those kinds me up for crackers.”
