So, they found an alternative way, "Hippie, way of life". which make them considered themselves to be materialistic. We see a lot of peace sign that became the symbol of the movement and the way of how youth dress to express their freedom and release themselves from the strict fashion style since the 1950s so sometimes this era is considered to be the age of craziness.

MODERN DAY ISSUE NO.1 I MAY 2019
Chanel’s Cruise 2020 fashion show at The Grand Palasis - Paris,France
BOARDING ON TO VIRGINIE’S TRAIN Virginie Viard – Karl’s right-hand man – has decided to vindicate the values of the house, a way to connect this new stage by reassuring all Chanel superfans and showing them that everything goes on as usual – or so it seems. But one thing that has surprised us is that not only is everything fine, but it has far exceeded our expectations. There are things that do not change, again the show was based on an impressive scenography, this time, of a large train station. The accessories followed the plot line and the classic tweed jackets were reinterpreted to adapt to a modern wardrobe, they were tightened with the brand’s chain belts. Without breaking any rules or disrespecting Lagerfeld’s heritage, Viard found a way to use all these elements and take them to the next level.
It’s hard to follow a fashion king, but there’s a reason she’s been by his side for more than three decades and that’s to learn to continue a legacy. This was not a new beginning for the house, but a continuation of a conversation that Coco Chanel started in 1909. As for the clothes, there was a lot tochoose from. Even though everything spoke of the same thing, a fabulous French woman was getting on a train at the North station. Elegantly disheveled, with straight hair and a clean face simply adorned with black lips, and only occasionally. This is the beginning of a new journey, a journey that excites us and of which we are excited to be part. We have already boarded this train, Virginie Viard‘s train.
LOUIS VUITTON ON THE MOVE Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2020 fashion show at JFK Airport,New York
In keeping with the backdrop, the looks Nicolas Ghesquière sent down the TWA runway (no pun intended) were a perfect ode to travel and the transatlantic mindset. The Parisian house exhibited clothes that nod to New York City skyscrapers in prints and construction—one model even carried a bag resembling the Chrysler Building—recall city lights in the garments’ hues, and reference iconic the Wall Street uniform. It was a collection fitting the landmark setting.

OLED DISPLAYS ON LOUIS VUITTON’S BAG Louis Vuitton has revealed its Nicolas Ghesquière-designed Cruise 2020 bag collection featuring OLED screens at its women’s New York show. A duffle bag and a bucket bag have been given the OLED treatment so far. The bags combine patent black leather panels with the Malletier’s signature LV monogram canvas motif in its traditional blend of brown and cream emblems. The screens themselves display moving city scenes and contrast the seemingly traditional bags with its use of oversaturated, high-contrast colors and futuristic graphics.
NEW FACE OF GIVENCHY
Ariana Grande is the new face of Givenchy. Following Instagram posts from Ariana, Givenchy's official account and creative director Claire Waight Keller, the fashion house has confirmed that the superstar will front the autumn/winter 2019 campaign, unveiled in July. "I am so proud to be the new face of Givenchy," Grande said in a statement. "It is a house I have forever admired and to now be part of that family is such an honour. I love this clothing and the confidence and joy it brings to the people wearing it. Not only is the clothing timeless and beautiful but I'm proud to work with a brand that makes people feel celebrated for who they are, and unapologetic about whatever they want to be. The French fashion house has a long history of collaborating with the world's biggest celebrities. Founder Hubert de Givenchy was responsible for many of Audrey Hepburn's most famous looks, and recently Waight Keller created the Duchess of Sussex's wedding gown.
OUR MODERN DAY COLLECTION Introduction Every generation has their own style; something that sets them apart from the previous generations. So why does our generation choose to wear the clothing that they do? Of course we don't want to dress like our parents, but there are other factors involved in developing the style of a generation. Marketing, advertising, and the media all try to influence the way our generation dresses. Their reasons are mainly profit based. We also make our clothing choices based on the Functionality of the garment. Consumers of our generation often look at the comfort, durability, and adaptability of a piece before purchasing. History has had a great influence on the look of most clothing worn Whatever the reason, we are a generation that loves to shop. The youth of today are extremely brand loyal. According to America's Research Group, the use of brand names is the second most effective advertising method when targeting teens. Brand names serve as status symbols.
