Hello! I’m beatriz, an architecture and urban planning student. Besides designing, I love the graphic representation universe and I see that this reflects directly on the design stage as it is a way of exemplifying and improving understanding of the resolutions adopted in the creative process. I am always willing to leave my comfort zone and learn new things, to adapting myself to new techniques and to software updates. The growing and alarming production of solid waste directly impacts the environment and the health of the population. The Center’s focus is the recycling of five types of plastic (PET, HDPE, LDPE, PP, PS), which is a material that has been causing concern due to the large amount that is thrown away without proper disposal. Thinking about how environmental awareness is necessary to combat this issue, the center was extended to environmental education, to help people understand the consequences of their actions and to know how the recycling process works.

For a better development of the project, the program requirements was divided in five areas: educational + cultural, administrative, support, recycling and service.
LOCATION The land is accessed via Avenida Torquato Tapajós and was chosen mainly because it can be easily accessed by most neighborhoods in the city.
TOPOGRAPHY As for the topography, the ground has a difference of two meters.
SHAPE PROCESS The first sector allocated was the educational sectors. The administrative sector was elevated + cultural sector, since it would be the one so that there would be a better flow in the central that should have the fastest access, then the courtyard. recycling, support, administrative and services

The forest house was designed as a haven for a young couple who want to escape the routine and chaos of the city on their weekends. Thinking of nature as one of the elements of the project, the windows are wide allowing a great view of the surroundings.

Imagining that in the near future people will return to occupying cities, eager for opportunities for socialization, Portal Projetar invited architecture students to imagine what it would be like to have an urban living space that also took advantage of technology: a 4.0 parklet.

01: Can be used as a resting point, socializing, and even for work. The reserved area is separated by a curtain, which is used as a background for a scenario in 02 mode.

The components of the parklet are the roof, the vertical bike rack, the protective fence and the floor. The roof has Integrated Solar Panels composed of translucent photovoltaic glass, and are responsible for the best use of sunlight and production of the energy needed for the parklet. The bike rack and the fence are formed by a vertical garden with small vegetation. The floor is permeable and it has gaps where are fitted linear guides that allow the furniture to be changed.

Different types of benches are part of the parklet, most of them have integrated USB ports for recharging cell phones. As for height, they will be divided into three types: low, medium or high, which also differ by their colors. They will be placed with the linear guides so that the change is possible.
The modification of the benches is done by a totem, where the functions are accessed right after the user watches ads from partner companies, and the entire amount collected is donated to social projects.
