THE 2012-2013 SERVICE YEAR WAS ONE OF EHTHS KEY CLUB’S BEST WHAT MAKES IT BETTER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS? JUST LOOK AT THOSE RECORD NUMBERS. Over the course of the year, there have been numerous service projects and fundraising events. We’ve all gone to some here and there but have we really stepped back and looked at all we’ve accomplished over this service year? No quite. Thanks to all the EHTHS Key Club Cubs, we were able to rack up some amazing numbers this year: 1| number of service projects from EHTHS Key Club
9| number of people from EHTHS that went to Fall Rally
2| new jersey district Key Club ELIMINATE Project goal in US dollars
10| amount raised by the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF event
3| most amount of service hours within a month; that month was October
11| number of people from EHTHS that attended icon
4| number of people from EHTHS attending Key Leader at the same time. 5| highest amount fundraised within a month so far as January; that month was November 6| percentage of the NJ District fundraising goal that EHTHS makes up 7| amount expected to be raised from the annual Volleyball-a-Thon event in February 8| total amount expected to be raised by EHTHS Key Club to help the ELIMINATE Project

1| AC MARATHON Key Clubbers experienced a cold morning helping out the local marathon hosted in the Atlantic City/Ventnor/ Margate area 2| DISTRICT CONVENTION Key Clubbers got to go to a lunch after District Convention (DCON) and got their advisor to pose in front of a movie cutout 3| FALL REGIONAL TRAINING CONFERENCE Key Clubbers went to the southern regional training conference (RTC) which was at the Southern Regional High School 4| HOLIDAY CIRCLE Key Clubbers ran the holiday circle event where children of all ages made crafts, took pictures with Santa, and most importantly, had fun 5| FALL RALLY Key Clubbers attended the Fall Rally event hosted at Six Flags: Great Adventures where thousands gathered to celebrate their passion for service
6|INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION Key Clubbers attended the annual International Convention hosted at the Walt Disney World theme Park 7| INDUCTION DINNER Key Clubbers hosted the annual Induction Dinner to induct new members as well as reconnect with past members 8|FIELD OF DREAMS Key Clubbers helped guide children with certain disabilities play an intense game of baseball at the Galloway Township Field of Dreams 9| ELIMINATE GAMES Key Clubbers competed against one another in Minute-to-Win-it games to try and become their divisional representative to play at the districtwide fundraising game 10| KEY LEADER Key Clubbers went to Camp Crossroads to learn more about themselves and about being a leader over a weekend
11| KICK OFF PARTY Key Clubbers hosted a party at the Tony Canale recreational park to try and persuade new members to join as well as to kick off the service year with some fun 12| COMMUINTY PRIDE DAY Key Clubbers helped clean up the streets and parks of the community and took pride in living in such an amazing township 13| RELAY FOR LIFE Key Clubbers stayed over night at the Ocean City track to help fundraise for the American Cancer Society 14| MARCH OF DIMES Key Clubbers walked the Ocean City Boardwalk to help fight prematurity and save babies 15|UNICEF COLLECTION Key Clubbers went around the community and to ask people to donate to UNICEF and the ELIMINATE Project to battle against Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT)

3| COMMUNITY PRIDE DAY Kiwanis planned and participated in the Community Pride Day Clean-Up in which Kiwanis Members, Key Clubbers, and people from all over the township gathered to help refresh the community and take pride in living in the community

4| INDUCTION DINNER Kiwanis members attended the annual Key Club Induction Dinner in which they got to meet the board as well as the newly inducted members and got to watch Key Clubbers perform in the annual talent show

5| KIWANIS FAMILY CONVERENCE (KFC) Kiwanis, Key Clubbers, and all the branches combined came together at the Kiwanis Family Conference hosted in North Carolina where members of the K-Family of all ages met and bonded with one another

2| AC CHILDREN’S GARDEN Kiwanis built a garden several years ago in Atlantic City and Key Clubbers helped maintain the garden annually by helping clean up trash and plant new vegetation to renew the garden for public viewing

1| MONTHLY KIWANIS DINNERS Kiwanis members within the area hosted monthly dinners in which Key Clubbers within the division joined in during their meetings, gave reports of how the clubs were doing, and offered suggestions

DCON is coming up very soon. Be sure to start packing things and be on the look out for a checklist!
You must have 50 hours in order to write Key Club as one of your activities or as service hours on college applications or other paperwork.
Remember to check Mr. Stevenson’s door for more projects. Some projects might be posted last minute and be sure not to accidentally sign up for two project that are on the same day at the same time.
