Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted? Fashion is something my heart was set on from the get-go. I did both my Masters in fashion and have been working in the industry ever since! What was your “aha!” moment? When I decided to pursue my dreams and go to fashion school instead of law school! Did you ever consider or experience a career change? This field has so much to offer and so many interesting aspects yet to be explored. I doubt I can ever consider a career change. When was the time you felt completely discouraged and how did you push through it? I was completely disheartened when I was refused a job I really wanted. At that point, I had to take a step back to gain perspective and remind myself of how hard I had worked to achieve my goals and what’s meant for me will come my way at the right time.
That has to be shark diving. What does nobody tell you about being the boss? Nobody tells you how failure is a part of life whether you’re the boss or not. One should know how to move forward from a set back instead of losing hope.
"TO ME, A #BOSSLADY IS SOMEONE WHO CAN BRING OUT THE BEST IN HER TEAM AND STILL LEAD WITH EMPATHY AND GOOD VALUES…”
What was the best advice that your mentor gave you? Do what you feel is right, give it your honest best and forget the rest. What are the top 3 things you cherish in your life? My family, friends and my career.
Name on boss lady that you admire and how she still inspires you? Audrey Hepburn. Her timeless sense of style and sophistication still inspires me in everything, from what I wear, to how I like my space decorated and how I like to carry myself. Describe a day in your life: My days are usually quite busy shuffling between work, working out, family and friends. Complete this sentence: To me, a #BossLady is someone who can bring out the best in her team and still lead with empathy and good values…”
What did you learn from your biggest failure? I learned how to move forward from it and stay true to what I believe in. Which world leader would you most like to have dinner with? Lady Diana. She was the world’s heartbeat. What advice would you give to young girls out there who have dreams and goals like yours? Keep your head in the game, your time will come!
What is #1 thing that is yet to be ticked off your bucket list?

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? I’m Iffat Omar, I’m an actor. I started my career as a model. I did my masters in graphic designing. I’ve done production and hosting for multiple projects. What inspired you to become a model turned actor? Nothing really inspired me; I was too young to be inspired. I was only 15 when I entered this industry. It started as a joke and look where I am today. Who has been your biggest influence? My mother, she was a working woman and a single mother. She worked so hard all her life and How would you describe your style of acting? I think I’m an okay actor, I don’t know. Everyone has a different style of acting but what I do is I imagine myself in that particular character’s situation. That’s my way of acting, Is there any actor that you would love to collaborate with? I have a lot of favorite actors but I

haven’t thought about collaborating with anyone. I would like to work with new artists, they are very talented and I don’t mind working with any one of them, they are doing great.
Also what do you hope to achieve with it? Because future is digital now and I was tired of depending on channels and their black-mailings so I wanted to come up with something where
What would you say is the most exciting part of your job? Paid vacations. I love it!!
One of the recurring subjects you address via your work is the status of women within our society. Do you feel the female perspective is rightly represented? Not at all. Women aren’t even given the 25% of the rights which should be given morally and religiously. Male and female actors aren’t even paid equally. We have to talk about it; we have to fight for it. A long way to go, I believe. Women have to speak, it might not make any difference right now but it’ll eventually.
What does your typical day look like? My typical routine is whatever I feel like doing on that particular day. I don’t have a proper routine. Sometimes, I sleep all day. Sometimes, I stay up late all night. So being able to do what I want to do is my advantage and I think I’m very lucky to live like that. Tell us about any challenges you have come across since you first started your career. I think I was one of those lucky ones. When I came into modeling, there were not many people in this field so I got in easily and same goes for acting. I haven’t struggled much. ince him and that was challenging. Are you working on any exciting new projects currently? I’m doing my show ‘Say It All With Iffat Omar’ and I’m very excited about that. I’m doing a film which is called ‘Half Fry’ and I’m excited for that too. Let’s see what happens. Where do you see yourself five years from now? I don’t think about that. Live the moment I believe in that. Do you have any other passions or talents? I don’t know about talents but I have a passion to talk about issues, to speak up, to address causes and to support the right ones. What’s your motto or the advice you live by? To live and let live, that’s it. You launched a web series by the name of Say It All With Iffat Omar. Why is it only digitally launched?
What would Iffat Omar do if she was made president for a day? President doesn’t do anything. He either attends protests or gives speech, that too, once in a year. Prime Minister can make a difference but in our country I think even he can’t do anything. What is your take on censorship? I’m against it. By censorship you can’t keep the audience in denial. If you won’t show something, someone else in the world will. I know there are certain cultural and traditional boundaries but that doesn’t mean you should censor everything. it. What is your take on cyber bullying? My take is that it’s toxic, it’s harmful, it’s inappropriate and it shouldn’t be done but there are different types of people in this world.. Why do we see constant victimization of women through media? Do you think our writers have run out of ideas and stories? I don’t know who has decided that victimization of women in our dramas will increase the ratings. As if people want to watch it. If people really want to watch it then this again shows what our society is going through because our dramas are mostly watched by women means. 2019

ARIES (MAR. 21- APRIL 20) The only challenges that exist are the ones that you perceive. Use your active imagination for the greatest good—of both yourself and those around you. This is the secret to getting through the obstacle course looking like an absolute winner. Spoiler alert: you’ve dealt with bigger challenges before. As for the creatively uninspired, your keyword is balance. The more time you spend looking inwards, the more revelations you will have. TAURUS (APR. 21- MAY 21) There’s a lot happening behind-the-scenes that you cannot possibly fathom. Protect your interests, Taurus. Be careful of who you share private information with. Most importantly, don’t ignore the red flags. For those who are working in a creative field, remember to copyright your work beforehand. This could be a particularly challenging week, but you will get through it with your sanity intact if you remember to take the necessary precautions. GEMINI (MAY 22-JUNE 21) Hello and welcome to retrograde season! Word of warning: things are not going to go as planned. Choose the path of least resistance. Remember to respond rather than react. When things get too much to handle, know that you have the permission to step back. As such, healing (on a physical, mental and emotional level) is on the cards this week. Remember, rest is not counterproductive. The process of consciously refueling our reserves promises to make us the most efficient versions of ourselves. CANCER (JUNE 22-JULY 22) A Murukami quote to reinstate your faith in yourself and your power to transcend the challenges: “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” Every morning when you wake up, you have the option to choose where you want to vibrate at. Cancer, remember to choose happiness everything single day. Word of warning: just when you think everything is coming together, things may fall apart. Embrace the process of destruction as you would creation. Perfect the art of becoming an observer. LEO (JULY 23-AUG 22) What a wonderful time to be you, Leo! Multiple doorways are opening for you. Be cognizant. It will be easy to choose the comfortable one, the familiar one, and the one that allows your expertise to shine through. However, if you motivate yourself to look beyond what you think you are capable of, the doorway to greatness will open for you. Stop playing small, wild one! This is your chance to hone your skills and share your gifts with the rest of the world. VIRGO (AUG. 23 -SEPT. 23) Perfect the art of multitasking. You’re going to be shouldering a lot of responsibilities this week. Given how invested you are in this project, you won’t think too much about sacrificing your own needs. Just be sure to draw a line before you reach a breaking point. The art of setting boundaries is just important, Virgo. Another thing you want to focus on is listening to the voice of reason. Come Friday, you will have no option but to let your head rule over your heart. LIBRA (SEPT. 24 -OCT. 23) There’s a big change coming your way at the start of the week. Trust that your life will not look the same before and after this cosmic wave—and that can only be a good thing. Projects will be set into motion, and doors that were previously locked will open themselves for you. At the same time, the things you’ve been working on for a while now will finally come together. Get ready to share your sparkling creations with the world. PS: You’re going to need plenty of time off to recuperate and find that elusive work-life balance.
SCORPIO (OCT. 24 - NOV. 22) What happens when somebody pulls the rug out from under your feet? A reality check is on the cards—one that will make you re-examine the foundation on which you have built your life. Changes are seldom the root of the problem. It is our resistance to being transformed that keeps us chained to our demons. Let things fall apart if they have to. Find your comfort in the discomfort. This is the only way to rebuild your life. SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 23 -DEC. 21) You’ve got to find your comfort in the discomfort. You’ve got to embrace the delays and the difficulties that life throws at you. This is the only way to grow, Sagittarius. What you will discover at the end of the week: you are being guided by a divine light, and things have a way of working out when we least expect them to. Remember, you are gifted with inner wisdom. Make a conscious effort to zoom out of the pain and drama as you focus on the good things. CAPRICORN (DEC 22.- JAN. 20) To quote William Arthur Ward: “If you can envision it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” Creating a vision board is only the first step. Your power lies in transmuting thoughts to things. Tap into your inner sorceress, Capricorn. Remember, the wise woman within is talking to you through the signs and symbols you encounter on a daily basis. To take the prize home, follow the roadmap meticulously drawn up by her. AQUARIUS (JAN. 21.- FEB. 19) Say your affirmations, eat your greens, and keep your thoughts clean. You are already at the top of your game, and you don’t need to engage with lower vibrations or compare your journey to anybody else’s. Aquarius, you are a force to be reckoned with. Continue to be unstoppable in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. Yes, there will be challenges. Nothing you haven’t dealt with before though. Both glory and victory await you on the other side. PISCES (FEB. 20-MAR. 20) That 9-to-5 can get pretty demanding. And let’s not even get started on the clients who walk into meetings with unrealistic expectations as their plus one. What is it that makes going to work somewhat tolerable and gives you a reason to wake up every morning? The work you take on and the people you surround yourself with, of course! Pisces, make a conscious effort to do the things you love and be with those you love. Think collaboration over competition. Motivate each other to achieve both the individual and collective goals.
