studio s by seher tareen the wedding procession The Studio S bridal couture collection titled 'The Wedding Procession' finds its inspiration in the tradition of Mughal miniature painting. With each collection, Studio S prides itself on creating pieces of wearable art. The painting in focus is 'The Marriage Procession of Dara Shikoh' (circa 1740-1750); it has been recreated in intricate and detailed embroidery, onto statement jackets, chaadars etc. The process of reimagining a miniature painting as haute couture results in a collection of fanatstical pieces that are sure to make a statement. cause i'm playing on the radio

rj kh al id m al ik the bre akfast sho w What do you enjoy about being an RJ The listeners. I love it that I meet new people everyday and that I am able to build relationships with them. It feels like family.

I won the Cutest Baby competition in Singapore a long time ago. I was runner up at a singing competition in Malaysia a long time ago.

How did it all start In 2004, I walked into a media house in Sydney looking for other work. I was asked if I spoke Hindi. Being sure of myself I said of course " I speak Hindi Urdu and Punjabi". I was asked to go audition. The station director at the time Saleha Waseem (who use to work for Ndtv) asked me to write a piece and deliver it on air. I remember signing out of my audition saying "Aur mai hoon apka chaheeta khalid malik". And she said "abhi toh tum kisike chaheete Nahi ho. And the rest is history as they say.

Do you ever listen to the radio in the car? I do. Whenever I am in the car in always tuning in.

Tell us three fun facts about yourself A. I have an interest in music and at one point had an Ustaad for vocals.

Something funny/crazy someone has send in your live show I have had greeting cards, messages sent to the office. I have had breakfast delivered to me once by a listener. I've had a listener ask me to pick them up from the airport because she was flying in from Lahore to see me.

rj be en is h mun ch on lun ch fm9 1 What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I love everything about being an RJ, from playing music to speaking my heart out to the masses. How did it all start? My fellow RJ Ali Asghar and I decided one day to have a fun radio show, auditioned at FM91, were called back and there's been no looking back since. Tell us three fun facts about yourself I read anything and everything. I love pets, I can spend the whole day doing nothing but pampering my pets. I'm a little crazy when it comes standing up for myself or the people i care for - nobody messes with my loved ones. Song on repeat these days: I’m loving Jason Derulo's Try and Matvey Emerson feat Freya's Gimme your love!

Monday- Thursday (1-3 pm)

What's the funniest/craziest thing someone has said on your live show? Once I was doing a Halloween special and a caller called in and told me not to take my regular route back home because my life was in danger. I didn't care much but my mother was tuned in and got really freaked out.

What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I think it really compliments my personality. It doesn't seem like work, because I am so motivated and happy to be at “work”. It gives me a little bit of recognition in the society, a means to lift spirits and make someone’s day delightful. How did it all start? In 2004, I was launching a Visa Debit Card advertisement working for the bank. I was asked to visit FM 107 to discuss the radio ad. While discussing the script, the CEO of 107 noted that I have some broadcasting skills. In fact he asked me to record the ad in my voice as a demo. I personally didn't like my own voice but the CEO offered me a show.

rj im a n a z m at h o m eg ro w n What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I have a passion for music and joining the media industry was my dream. Talking comes naturally to me, hence, the reason I chose this profession. One of the aspects of being a Radio host that I have enjoyed the most is that, this profession requires my "voice" not my physical appearance! I feel content this way. How did it all start? Well basically my co-host Ayesha Athar and I had done a show called "Step by Step" that was aired on Atv.The show was a big hit, and since Ayesha had a passion for music just like me, we were approached by couple of radio stations. We auditioned and got selected. I was lucky to host my very first show "Radio Genie" with Ayesha. Does a RJ really get phone calls from people at large or do they have to fake it? There are times when the topics being discussed are boring, under those circumstances, YES, we do fake it but that rarely happens in our case. We receive thousands of texts daily.

(Tv Host, Actor and sketch comedian) Rj on Radio 1, Fm 91 "Loves animals, football, music and poetry"

What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I can talk for hours and hours. I’m more expressive on radio as compared to the real life. How did it all start? May 29th 1998, was the day when I started off with this profession. It so happened that I had tuned in to a radio show one evening and the host was saying they didn’t have a suitable RJ in Lahore for an English show. I was very optimistic about the whole idea. I was the next RJ in FM100, the pioneer radio station in Lahore.

Tell us three fun facts about yourself That’s a tough one! Firstly, I'm a lover of music and poetry. I am nuts about football. I have been playing for my school and many clubs in Karachi. My shoe size is 13, which is rarely available in Pakistan. I got suspended from my school just for not having black shoes!! Do you ever listen to the radio in the car? Yes! I listen to a variety of stations, not only my own but Khalid Malik on FM 89, Sophie on FM 91 and Wes malik on 89! What's the funniest/craziest thing that someone said on your live show? We once had a female caller who spoke to us for a good few minutes, only to reveal that 'she' was in fact a man who specialized in impressions!!

Tell us three fun facts about yourself I am funny, witty and don't fake my accent. Do you ever listen to the radio in the car? Turning the radio OFF doesn’t exist in my life. What's the funniest/craziest thing someone has said on your live show? There was once a girl who called and claimed she ran away from her house to meet me and investigating further I realized she was correct. Despite all such events, I am incomplete without my fans and I truly adore them for all the support and love they have for me. 52

“balle balle” (Monday-Saturday)

What do you enjoy about being a RJ? What I love about being a R.J. is that no matter how haywire my life becomes, once I reach the studio everything is sorted. All the negativity and bad vibes are blocked and it's just about good music and interacting with the most amazing people. How did it all start? A friend of mine knew about my passion for music and asked me to audition for F91! Tell us three fun facts about yourself. Three fun facts about me: I'm the happiest when I use the dance grin emoticon, I love painting and I make the best "truck driver" chai Do you listen to the radio in the car? Absolutely! I always listen to the radio when I am driving. I love the unpredictability of the radio, you never know what song to expect next, and it's an unbelievably fulfilling feeling when the R.J plays your two favourite tracks, back to back. That surprise is just blissful, love it when it happens. Songs on Repeat? That's definitely a tough one for a R.J to answer! Well, there are a few songs on the repeat loop but it mostly comprises of Kygo remixes.

What is the funniest/craziest thing that a caller has said on your show? A live caller was really pissed off at a reckless female driver and started venting on the show. He said, "As soon as I figured out it was a female driver, I knew I didn't want to get into an argument with her because women always think they're right. But since I had to show how upset I was, I took a handful of sand and threw it at her screen."

Radio FM 89 |Timings: 12-3pm weekdays What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I love the power of having a voice that can be heard by thousands and I use it very responsibly. How did it all start? Heard the new channel CityFM89, heard the RJ conducting the show and thought I could totally do this. I auditioned and was selected! Does a RJ really get phonecalls from people at large, or do they have to fake it? We get phone calls for when we ask for them. I’m not a huge fan of phone calls, I like to stick to text messages.

rj soph iya anj um Driv e on wit h soph ie What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I enjoy a lot of aspects about being an RJ but my top 2 are that I am close to music and freedom to experiment with the content and theme of my shows. How did it all start? It all started in 2006 when I went to visit a friend at FM91 and randomly gave an audition for which I was selected. Since then, there was no looking back :) Tell us three fun facts about yourself: Blasting loud music is what I love and due to this, most of my friends and colleagues end up covering their ears! My room is always freezing! Every time my friends visit me they end up looking for sweaters. Even if I am going through the worst phase of my life, you will always see me chirpy and would never get to know :) Do you ever listen to the radio in the car? The radio's always on in my car, just can't do without it! Song on repeat these days Keeps on changing after every 10 days. These days it's King by Years & Years and Pehli Baar from DDD What's the funniest/craziest thing someone has said on your live show? Craziness surrounds me at work. All sorts of people, from stalkers to poets but I guess the funniest was when a girl called and said "Sophie my dad's a huge fan of yours, please talk to him!" I said "Sure honey, no problem! A0A uncle how are you?" He goes "Yo man wasaaap!" #FacePalm

rj fas i (fm 91) t h e fa s i z a k a s h o w 10PM-12Am (Monday and Tuesday)

What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I have always wanted to do radio despite never really being a radio listener before. I suppose it was romanticized for me somewhat through the Hollywood films. Does a RJ really get phone calls from people at large, or do they have to fake it? Yes the calls are genuine; too many people with free time on their hands plus the romance packages of the telecoms that give free minutes benefit radio stations. Tell us three fun facts about yourself My favourite singer is Nadir Jackson (a caller on my show), I used to be on the district of Peshawar's swimming team where I came third in the 100 meter freestyle (looking at how fat I am these days no one believes this anymore) and I wish I was a professional Sofa tester. What's the funniest/craziest thing someone has said on your live show? We were commiserating with a woman whose husband had died the month before, she wouldn't have the sympathy. She said she was dancing with happiness ever since her loss.

What do you enjoy about being a RJ? I have an opportunity to communicate with the masses, the real people and the majority of the Pakistani population. It’s an experience beyond words because now I have the largest family in the world. How did it all start? I started as a Prime Time Radio Broadcaster in the last quarter of 2012. When Samaa was launching their FM channel that year, I was selected after a three step audition. Does a RJ really get phone calls from people at large, or do they have to fake it? We get more phonecalls than people could imagine, we’re barely able to accommodate 5 to 10% of the total number of phone calls we receive.

rj sulmeen ansari midday madness

loves 'pickles, parathas & ad re na lin e ru sh !!'

Tell us three fun facts about yourself : I love eating vegetable filled parathas with ‘achaar’ (pickles). I’m not scared of lizards, cockroaches, spiders etc. I really don’t understand what the fuss is all about. I love rollercoasters, the fastest and wildest kind. Song on repeat these days: Teri Meri Kahaani’ from the Bollywood flick ‘Gabbar is Back’ What's the funniest/craziest thing someone has said on your live show? A fan wanted to marry me and has been messaging on the show for months now saying the same thing everyday. I’m flattered, seriously but find it hilarious how just my voice and way of communicating can get someone to propose to me.

What do you enjoy about being an RJ I get to go to work in my pajama’s, I get to take naps while long songs are on air, and all I have to do is talk for a couple of minutes which is like the easiest thing in the world and for a lazy guy like me, it’s the ultimate career! How did it all start Fresh out of University I joined Pakistan’s second FM radio channel called FM101 and created an English request show called MuchMusic (which still runs today) about 17 years ago. I left 101 to join 89 (Pakistan’s first and now only English radio station) almost 11 and a half years ago to host the Breakfast Show, and developing shows like Charted Territory, Generation X and the Drive Thru. Tell us three fun facts about yourself I can take apart and put together half a car engine, I have a professional degree in Automotive Painting, and I have one of those Civics which looks like the Civics from the first fast and furious film. (It might even be low enough to pass underneath a truck - haven’t tried though). Something funny/crazy someone has send in your live show A man called in my show with two stories. Stories of incredible survival (which were all true). This gentlemen had survived being stranded on a boat which caught fire in sea and was rescued, and he also survived a plane crash in a small Cessna who’s engine had stalled and he and the copilot crashed in a park in the US. Simply amazing, and a very lucky guy.
