Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our new section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? Edinburgh, Scotland. Close proximity to London was the main reason where I was visiting friends, as the trip was very last minute. Who did you travel with? My close group of friends Where did you stay? An apartment on Easter Street rented via Air BnB. The apartment was a large two bedroom complete with a living room and kitchen. The owner made sure we had tons of free tea, coffee and fruits as well as taxi fare discount coupons!

What are the best shopping spots there? Princes Street is great for mainstream shopping, however, Victoria Street in Old Town has tons of funky eclectic stores which are a must to visit. Suggest some amazing restaurants there? 'Serrano Manchego' for Spanish food. We had brunch there which started off with a gourmet style Spanish omelette, coffee and ended with delicious churros and chocolate. Another wonderful restaurant was La Favorita- an incredibly lively and popular authentic Italian restaurant with one of the best pizzas I have had ever! Also there are tons

travel diaries Finally, any tips? If you do hike to Arthur's seat, make sure to get dropped in the car park in Holyrood park for easy access to the shorter route. If you want a shorter hike avoid going on Sundays since the shorter route is closed. Additionally, try visiting Edinburgh during the annual Fringe festival which is the largest arts festival in the world! it happens every August and would be a great addition to your itinerary in Edinburgh.

Tell us about the sights noone should miss out on A hike to Arthur's Seat, the highest peak in the hills in Holyrood Park. You get to see a breathtaking view of the entire city of Edinburgh and beyond! It gives you the feeling of being lost in the Scottish Highlands, without having to venture too far. Another great option is to take the scenic walk up The Royal Mile all the way to Edinburgh Castle. This street is one of the most beautiful walks, complete with Edinburgh's traditional Scottish gothic architecture, churches and statues, tiny boutiques selling Scottish apparel and interesting street vendors, bagpipers in kilts blending traditional music with modern tunes of the street musicians, and very cute coffee shops and funky pubs along the way. Although this next one is not a sight, but you have to try the deep fried Mars chocolate bar or Snickers bar! It is one of the most interesting desserts that the Scottish are very proud to have invented! You can decide for yourself if you like it or not.
and unwind? A day spent in Queen's Park where you can either hike to Arthur's Seat or take a stroll on the many walkways and picnic near one of the Lochs.
