the fashion list!

ready, set, style! th is week the shazah Ay ub wears four s ty lis h u maima m us tafa o utfits and makes them her very own.

The best part about this high low top is that it can be worn during the day and night as well. The gold buttons really make this top stand out and I love the military-esque vibe it has to it. I kept my make up understated and paired it with wide leg pants.

This blazer has got to be my favourite piece from Umaima's new collection. I love how it's super versatile and effortless with the right pop of colour. I kept my look simple by wearing a pair of high waisted jeans and a black crop top and let the blazer do the talking.

This is the perfect jacket for the festive season!! I went all out for this lookmade my lips darker, pulled up my hair up in a high pony, wore silver shoes and statement earnings...all set for a night out!!

Velvet, midnight blue and gold are a stunning combination! Statement jackets are my weakness, so I was drooling over this piece the second I saw it. I wanted to keep my overall look clean and opted for a top knot with statement earrings by Canary Cove.

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our new section, planes, trains & automobiles!

travel diaries

Where did you choose to go and why? Where did you stay? I went to Croatia, to the island of Split in early June. I didn't really choose to go there myself! I love visiting new and different countries around the world, so I thought Croatia would be a perfect place to go to for the summer.

Who did you travel with?

I went with a group of 12 friends from university. We were all graduating in July and decided we wanted to go on a big grad trip together to celebrate. I initially wasn't meant to go because of travel plans with my family but towards the last minute those plans changed and I was able to tag along! This is why I had no say in where we were going, but I'm so happy this is where we ended up!

travel diaries

We stayed in a big villa that we rented for the week. It was owned by a lovely young couple. The husband's grandmother passed it on to him and he renovated it completely on his own, he even built the pool himself! It was nestled away in the hills of near Hvar with an amazing view of the water. It was the perfect place for such all of us to stay because of the number of rooms, the pool, and the outdoor kitchen that was perfect for cooking for such a big group.

What are the best shopping spots?

We didn't do much shopping! The only type of shopping we did was for groceries so we could cook family style dinners. That being said, everything is so cheap! We bought shampoo

for the price of $1.50!

The local restaurants are the best ones. We tried to stay away from any tourist spots because we wanted to stay authentic to Croatia. Find any small local places and they will definitely be great! I struggle with a lot of food intolerances and the restaurants we went to were more than happy to accommodate and were very knowledgable and helpful.

Tell us about sights that no one should miss out on.

travel diaries

What can you do to relax and unwind?

Lay out in the sun! Everyone in Split and Hvar was in the island mentality. Everyone we met was very friendly and relaxed. It made for the perfect atmosphere to unwind. We spent most of our days tanning by the pool, going to the beach and just taking it easy.

Finally any tips?

The tap water is the best and cleanest I've ever had! Definitely the best way to stay hydrated in the summer heat.

It is definitely necessary to go to the amazing beaches in Croatia. We went to a really beautiful and fun beach called Hula Hula. There was a DJ and restaurant with lounge chairs. The water was really beautiful and the chairs were positioned in the perfect spot to watch the sun set. It was absolutely beautiful!

Hvar is definitely the island for going out. We went to this great street lined with pubs that were very informal and chilled out. Just around the corner is a famous club called Carpe Diem. We spent a great night out here and it's definitely one of the hottest spots!

As long as you remember to keep everyone in the loop, the week should basically be smooth sailing. Monday and Tuesday might be chaos at work, but it will be the fun kind of chaos. Your days will fly by. Your family figures strongly on Wednesday and Thursday, and, once again, no matter what comes your way, communication is key. As the week comes to a close, expect to feel happier than you have in a long time. Adventure awaits you this weekend -- as does a dose of romance. Lucky you. On Sunday, make dinner at home. Try your hand at something spicy.

There are a lot of things you'd like to get done early in the week, but Monday and Tuesday aren't great days for making big decisions. Don't sign any paperwork. And do your best to avoid impulse buys. You're better off taking risks in the middle of the week, when your intuition will be stronger and luck will be on your side. (If there's romance in the air, Wednesday would be a good day to make a move.) On Friday, someone is going to test your tolerance. All eyes are going to be on you, so be as charming and diplomatic as possible. This weekend, too, patience is key.

You're going to shake a lot of hands early this week, but there's a chance you're not going to remember anyone's name. That's the drawback to so much social excitement. (Then again, if you meet a potential romantic interest, their name and face are going to be burned into your mind.) The great thing about going to parties and spending time in other people's houses is that it's relatively inexpensive, and saving money is important to you this week. Friday through Sunday are going to be great days. People love talking to you. Make sure you let them know how much to like talking to them too.

It's okay to break out of your shell a bit this week. On Monday and Tuesday especially, expect to be in an adventurous mood. If you have a hankering for an odd meal, by all means have an odd meal. If you're single, maybe it's time to do something about that. Your energy will be high mid-week, and so will the lights. (The spotlight will be on you all day Thursday.) This weekend, think big. Think extravagant. Maybe it's time for a new couch. Or a new car? That might be thinking a bit too big. Unless, of course, you can afford it.

leo

virgo

libra

scorpio

What do you have on your mind? And who among your friends might like to hear about it (and possibly give you some advice)? You're going to be in close contact with your friends all week. On Tuesday, an impromptu brainstorming session is going to produce a brilliant idea. Don't ignore its potential. On Thursday, someone is going to remark on how warm and sensitive you are, and the comment is going to reinforce all your good feelings toward the world. The more you get recognized for your fabulousness, the more fabulous you feel. Your heart is going to feel big and full this weekend.

The reason people go to you for advice and guidance is that you have a quick mind and nothing escapes your powers of logic. It's not that you're not a warm person. You're just amazingly perceptive. And wise. Still, take care with your communications this week, whether at work (on Monday and Tuesday) or with your family (on Wednesday and Thursday). If you can't think of the diplomatic thing to say, best to say nothing at all. This weekend, you're probably going to be maxed out with plans. It wouldn't be a bad idea to cancel a couple of them and buy yourself some breathing room.

This other person you've been spending time with really brings out a whole new side of you. A conversation on Monday or Tuesday -- it might not even be a long conversation -- is going to radically alter your perspective on something. And more and more you're going to feel like doing things you wouldn't normally do. Toward the middle of the week, just keep your head down and get stuff done, but on Friday and over the weekend, spend time around others as much as possible. Organize an outing of some kind. Encourage your friends to bring their kids. Pack a snack. Think summer camp all over again.

You'd love to just say yes and scrawl your name across the dotted line, but you'd be wise to reread the fine print first. This is a decision you're going to have to live with for a while. It's just not worth being reckless. In other areas of your life this week, expect to get exactly what you hope for. No, even better than what you hope for. Make a conscious effort not to control everything and you'll be pleasantly surprised by what the world sends your way. Especially when it comes to restaurants. And do whatever you can to avoid thinking about work this weekend. It's the weekend! Relax!

sagittarius capricorn 23November/21December

22December/20January

You and your friends have these great conversations on the phone, but that's all they ever seem to amount to: great conversations. Where's the follow-through? How come you're the only one with any energy? The truth is, you have your ups and downs like anyone, and it just so happens that everyone's energy levels are going to be mismatched this week. So it goes. Follow your mood and don't be afraid to be a bit introverted on Wednesday and Thursday. This weekend, travel is in the air. Luck will be on your side. You might randomly land in first class. Or you might meet someone on the bus who changes your life.

Everyone's chattering away at the beginning of the week, but you're just going to plug your ears and keep on chugging. You can't hear yourself think with so much commotion. And, as your intuition tells you, the best thing you can do for yourself the first half of the week is to focus and get things done. Maybe make social plans on Wednesday or Thursday evening. On Friday, work is going to be unusually tough. Make an effort not to take anything personally and you'll be okay. This weekend will be full of people making all kinds of demands. Sheesh! Be polite, but don't give up anything you don't want to.

You forgot what a little love can do for you. Hubba, hubba! The week begins with a bang -- a totally unexpected surge of excitement in the romance department -- and it will bring out your most creative impulses. From there, the rest of this fine but fairly normal week is necessarily going to seem a bit drab. Alas, great love has its drawbacks. You might feel strangely emotional on Wednesday and Thursday. For whatever reason, it might make you feel better to clean up around the house. Over the weekend, your mind will be full of thoughts about relationships. On Saturday or Sunday, you'll make an exciting discovery.

You have a lot on your mind at the beginning of the week, but table all that for a while: don't do anything. Monday and Tuesday are not good days for any sudden gestures. Be thoughtful. Be creative. And stay at home, if you can. You'll want to store up your energy for Wednesday and Thursday, days that will most likely be chock full of romance. (Poetry figures strongly all week. Maybe memorize a line or two? Who knows when you'll need it.) This weekend would be a great time to kick off a new fitness routine. At the very least, after your dreamy week, it will ground you again.
