the fashion list!
ready, set, style! This intricately handcrafted Peshwas is a classic. The emerald green stones and accents add so much character to it! I wore it with traditional polki earrings and a bright clutch with gold shoes. My hair and makeup was simple - I went for a timeless curly blow dry and understated make up since the outfit speaks for itself!
th is week maira hash mi wears fo ur sty lish sehrish rehan ou tfits and makes them her very own .
This is such a refreshing colour. The 3D detailing, pearl and diamantĂŠ embellishments and the fringe on this lace jacket go so well together! I paired it with tulip pants to add that perfect edge to this outfit. I chose to go with black and gold accessories. For my hair and make up I stuck to basic soft curls and a minimal make up look - so this makes for a great day time look!

This contemporary formal outfit is one of my favourites from Sehrish's collection! The work on the shirt and the base colour complement each other fabulously. I decided to amp up the bling factor and wore ruby and diamond earrings, carried a full diamantĂŠ clutch and bling silver shoes Wedding perfect!
I love how versatile this ensemble is. This colour screams Spring! Dress it up right and it can easily be worn to a wedding or tone it down with simple accessories for a more semi formal look. I tied my hair half up and wore statement earrings by Outhouse, nude heels and a super bling Swarovski clutch!

BY AMIRAH ABBASI
the federal capital's love affair with zumba we sat down to have a conversation with jasmine arandia, the life force behind studio 8 to find out more about the zumba craze and what inspired her to create the fitness studio that makes you feel like a million bucks even before the workout begins.

WHEN DID YOU REALISE THERE WAS A NEED TO CREATE STUDIO 8 AND CARRY ON LEADING THE ZUMBA MADNESS IN THIS CITY? I’ve been teaching Zumba for about two and a half years. I started teaching at Kuch Khaas and pursued my passion with the faith placed within me by our dearest Poppy(late) who was the soul behind Kuch Khaas. I am the only certified Zumba instructor in the Federal Capital and I wouldn’t deprive my students of the opportunity to experience the energy rush that Zumba offers. Also I’ve never been happy with the interior and vibes around the fitness studios in the Capital. I want people to feel like it’s a party instead of a workout. As I always tell my class, “It’s not working out, it’s working it!”
an absolute regular until she moved out of the city. We have burqa clad ladies who have the moves and energy that have blown my mind.
WHAT SETS ZUMBA APART FROM OTHER FORMS OF WORKOUT AND WHY DO YOU THINK IT’S A BETTER WAY OF GETTING FIT COMPARED TO OTHER FORMS? One of the main reasons Zumba has become a global sensation is the feel good factor that comes with it. It’s mainly a cardiovascular workout and gets your heart and metabolism back to a healthy pace. The dual effect it has on mental and physical health is unique. Work outs tend to remind us of drudgery. Zumba has the ability to make work-outs a happy time. It’s a stress reliever and a confidence booster. We’ve had people become addicted to it. It’s also a major ice-breaker. We’ve seen multiple friendships being formed through our classes. No other form of work-out gives you that connection within the fitness studio.
WHAT’S A NUTRITION PLAN YOU SUGGEST YOUR CLIENTS ON THEIR WAY TO A FITTER AND LEANER SELF? Strict diets are a farce and too idealistic. I educate my students about making steady, organic lifestyle changes. I’ll ask chocolate lovers to opt for dark chocolate instead of the sugar-packed milk chocolates to fulfill their cravings, air-fried French Fries instead of the regular, calorific deep fried ones. It’s a matter of consciously making better, more sensible decisions of what you feed your body.
HOW’S THE RESPONSE BEEN SO FAR FOR THE CLASSES? It’s been phenomenal and unexpected. Zumba clicks with everyone from all ages and all demographics. We get an interesting mix of students. We’ve had a 60 year old lady who was extremely passionate about our classes and was
WHERE DO YOU CULMINATE THE ENERGY AND OODLES OF POSITIVITY THAT ARE SYNONYMOUS TO STUDIO 8? I’m awfully passionate about dancing. Once the music starts I’m in my happy place.I’m extremely addicted to that zone I create when I’m dancing. I have Lylla, my Studio Manager, suggesting and failing at keeping me from conducting my classes even when I’m sick. I’ll dance, come rain or sunshine and I’ll guide my classes on working it to the Zumba beats on their way to fitness.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT TO PREP YOU BEFORE A HIGH-INTENSITY ZUMBA SESSION? I’m wary of consuming anything that would weigh my gut down. I suggest a power smoothie made with organic, seasonal fruits really does the trick for me. THERE’S A MIX OF ZUMBA, PILATES AND OTHER CLASSES ALONG WITH MUSICAL GIGS HAPPENING. WHAT’S THE VISION BACKING STUDIO 8? We aim to house and support individuals that are passionate to their craft, be it fitness and lifestyle instructors, musicians or performers. Studio 8 aims to provide a platform to attract creative experts that are committed to their genre and line of work. 2016

behind the scenes "Our brand embodies the trendy and modern outlook of today's generation which is exactly what we wanted to capture. From the careful selection of models to fit into the roles for each line and the sets that were created to enhance the product. With the mimes we had on location, cracking jokes throughout the day and the models enjoying being in their natural element, the shoot was a breeze without a single dull moment!" Team BTW
"The essence of this brand is reflected by the beautiful shoot. The lively and vibrant colours used in the entire collection make it trendy and young which people will love wearing as much as I did." Marvi 46

"The clothes were just so fun! There was a perfect balance; from the vibrancy of the colors to the cut of the dress and the embroidery on it, all in just the right amount. And the team was so much fun to work with. I can't seem to recall not laughing between pictures and sometimes even during!" Laila Ali Khan
"I enjoyed shooting such vibrant colours and a variety of different textures for each line. Projects like BTW that inspire me and allow me to stretch my boundaries are the ones I enjoy shooting the most!" Guddu Shani
"OMG I loved the concept of the mimes on shoot, it was so different and they were so hilarious. The best part about it all was that they let me be myself and pose without boundaries. The collection itself was so fun, beautiful and easy to pull off!!!" Sonia Nazir 2016
