Project Legacy Capital Campaign “Constructing our Future, Building our Legacy”
The King’s Academy
“My family moved from out of town and within two years I was provided a job promotion opportunity but declined it to keep our children at TKA.”
Our Project Legacy Mission… To build safe, thoroughly equipped educational spaces that will inspire students’ scholastic development through a challenging and rigorous academic program, intentionally integrating the Christian world and life view. Additionally, athletic, fine arts and Discovery facilities will be tailored to meet the ever changing needs of our student body. “TKA is credited with academically saving my son with their personal and individualized care.” TKA Parent
Honoring Our Past… In 1989, seven Florence families came together with a common vision and goal: to provide quality education for their children in a Christ-centered environment. The vision included the desire to encourage the students to grow mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually - recognizing each one’s unique gifts and abilities while encouraging them to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1990, The King’s Academy was established and became an independently chartered, nondenominational Christian school. God has blessed the school and as TKA has grown, it has expanded both in numbers and in the programs it is able to offer. In 1997, TKA added a high school to house 4K - 12th grade . “The school meets our kids where they are no matter what.” TKA Parent
Today, The King’s Academy continues the tradition of educating 4K through 12th graders through biblically integrated, college preparatory curriculum. Dual Enrollment classes through Francis Marion University, taught here on the campus of TKA, allow students to simultaneously earn credit for high school and college. Current enrollment stands at 300 and TKA employs over 55 faculty and staff members. As the culture rapidly changes, the demand for Kingdom Education taught inside secure brick and mortar buildings becomes even more salient. Safety is at the forefront of every parent’s mind when they send their children to school, and we need to meet that expectation. Gone are the days when biblical principles are the norm. The Word tells us, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2 Timothy 4:3 The King’s Academy is committed to making prayer an integral part of each class and will continue to develop and refine a strong Bible curriculum focused on equipping young minds and hearts to be prepared to share the Gospel. .
“TKA graduates are ready for the world” TKA Parent “I toured several schools prior to coming to TKA but immediately felt the Spirit on this campus!” Middle School Student
Embracing the Future… As Christian parents continue to seek alternative educational options for their children, TKA has experienced a need for more space. No longer finding similar values in the traditional setting, The King’s Academy has become a desirable choice for many families. The demand for more space has never been more evident. TKA recognizes students as individuals, and we desire to meet the unique needs of every student. Distinguished academic, athletic, and fine arts tracts created to enhance each child’s gifts, bestowed by our Creator, is our focus. Sustaining our Discovery Program, which supports students who learn differently, creates an environment where all students are accepted. Fully equipped science labs, creative, artistic areas to showcase our Fine Arts and lush athletic fields are needed! To flourish we must grow our footprint and expand our technology, offering our students the space and tools they need to compete in careers where their gifts are welcomed, and their values are needed. Your support is integral to the future of The King’s Academy. “We are the Body of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:27
“My teacher cares not only for me academically but also for me spiritually,
Dear Parents, Alumni, Family and Friends of The King’s Academy, First and foremost, thank you for your support of The King’s Academy through your commitment to being involved in your child’s education and partnering with us to ensure personalized education of each student in a Christ centered curriculum. Our next project will be to begin work on permanent classrooms, beginning with the elementary school with groundbreaking in Fall 2022. “Not everyone can give the same amount, but everyone can give in the same heart. It is not equal gifts, but equal sacrifices. Pray earnestly about how much our faithful Father would have you contribute”. 100% of donations will be applied to Project Legacy’s Campaign.
