SITE
Site is in the City of Yazd, situated in the middle of Iranian plateau, 270 km southeast of Isfahan, close to Spice-Silk Roads.
Historic city and Buffer zone The old context of Yazd has survived during different historical periods and it is in harmony with its climatic condition.

CONCEPTUAL SKETCHES
Northern space of the site utilized as exhibition area and watch tower giving panaromic view Existing Bagh being the guiding factor for design approach and justifying the axis.
Defining strong axis with the context as well justifying the access alley for the clusters
Defining the proportions of the mass and access alley. Defining the site edge to the public garden.
Shifting the existing road and letting it in to the site trying to address accesibility as well as defining edges of the adjoining urban fabric.
Considering center and top most spaces as public spaces, trying to establish relation with cannal and the bagh.
Widened visual connectivity towards bagh making it a public plaza
Public gathering and commercial spaces which also is watching tower/deck for the surroundings.
Identifying all the designing criteria and issues, which combined together works as the complete strategic plan. This allowed to play with the ration of the clusters, alley and the courtyards. Making the public axis, private and semi private well segregated. The semi public/public garden merges with the design proposal creating the pivotal corridor for the urban tissue.
