e-guru is an android tablet platform based e-learning app project that would help students to prepare for competitive exams, give them 24x7 access to classroom lectures, analyze their skills and knowledge, manage their daily study routine and help them with educational assistance and advice without a need to go anywhere. e-guru app is currently in its development phase and is a project of Motion Education Pvt. Scenarios Scenario 1: Vaibhav has a query which he wants to clear. He goes to the helpdesk to put his query forward but no one is present at the helpdesk since it is lunch time. He waits for an hour before the person at the helpdesk arrives and addresses his issue.

Vaibhav is calm natured boy from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and first came to Kota in 2015 which was an entirely new place for him. He joined Motion Education Pvt. Ltd. to take coaching and follows a similar daily routine to manage his coaching timings and self study schedule.

Shalini is a playful, restless girl from Delhi. She is carefree and finds it hard to follow a timetable she makes on her own. Regardless her playful attitude, she is very sincere towards her studies. She also suffers from chronic illness which creates a lot of trouble for her due to frequently missed lectures.

Shalini is not well and can’t go to the coaching institute to take lectures and hence misses them. Two days later, she goes to the coaching institute just to find that she has missed a lot and is now unable to catch up with the rest of the batch. Ultimately, she borrows notes from a friend and tries to understand the missed lectures himself but still can’t fully understand everything.

Scenario 3: Vaibhav goes to the coaching institute every Sunday to give his weekly review test but his performance is going down constantly. Although he can check the scores, he is unable to understand in which particular topics he is very weak in which has left him confused and unable to figure out what to do in this situation.

Questions in text as well as pictorial form will be displayed followed by 4 multiselectable options and a submit button. User will also be able to see how many attempts and how much time he took to solve the question and can bookmark important questions


User will be able to download and watch the video lecture of any of the listed topics from the topic list. He will also be able to take screenshot with an inbuilt button, fastforward the video and create and view bookmarks on the video to jump to a particular

Queries list with subject of the issue followed by detailed issue which will be address through a chat conversation with the answerable person.

Button to add a new query which would lead to a pop-up dialogue box to fill the query details.

A pre-programmed planner for students which will have automatic alarm notifications for the classroom lecture of the whole year, schedule for selfstudy and a button to add additional tasks to be notified.

Opening a query will lead to this conversation screen where the answerable person can chat with the user to address his issue. User as well as the addressee will also be able to send and receive documents and pictures

RideShare Ride Share is a test project based on android platform which was developed to facilitate employees of a company to share rides within their corporate network on pre-ďŹ xed rates. RideShare is designed to work only for a limited corporate network which would enable their employees to share their rides with those who don’t own a vehicle and also help them cut their commuting costs.

Story

But one day, she tries to book a cab twice but gets cancelled from the driver side both the times since the drivers are too far away from her location.

Ms. Malini leaves home for work at 9:30 AM so that she could reach her office by 10:00 AM. She doesn’t have her own vehicle to commute and takes a cab everyday.

About half an hour later facing all the troubles while booking a cab, she spots a colleague’s car passing through her way and he stops his car and gives her a ride to the work.

Although she reaches her office but she is half an hour late for work and suffers a fractional salary cut due to late attendance.

Ms. Malini Ramanathan, 26 Software Engineer in Pune Confident and Money-minded

Malini is a resident of Chennai and is staying away from home to earn a living in Pune. She is confident, independent and is very self-conscious about her surroundings. She doesn’t own a vehicle but prefers to take a cab ride instead of a public transit facility. She earns about 30000 rupees per month and her monthly transportation expenses are about 2500-3000 rupees. Although she tries to look for a cheaper mode of transport whenever available to save money.

Mr. Rahul Tiwari, 24 Web designer in Pune Cool, Chilled-out and Spendthrift

Rahul is working as a Web Designer in the same company as Ms. Malini. He is a resident of Pune and is carefree about spending money. He goes to work by his own car. Earns about 22000 rupees per month and his monthly expense on transportation is about 5000 rupees. He loves having a company around, specially while travelling.

Mode of Commute People use different modes of transport to commute to the workplace. It was found that a majority of the users avail cab service to commute to the workplace. Also, cab services were found out to be the costliest mode of transportation. Interestingly a fraction of people already share rides with their friends to go to work.

The vehicle ownership status survey was checked to know the availability of potential ride sharers which was found to be 6% over the required need assuming every car can accommodate 4 passengers excluding the driver. Gender based availability was checked as women may prefer the company of women riders due to safety and socialcomfort factors.

If the company start an interorganisation carpooling services amongst its employees at very nominal costs, would you like to avail the services?

A User Survey was done to find whether the employees are actually willing to use the service or not. The reason was found out to be a whooping 88% in the favor of the proposal. 12% people who denied the use of the service had reasons which were mostly cost effectiveness which according to them was more with the use of mass public transit services.

Mode of Commute A majority of the vehicle owning people use 2-wheelers to commute to the workplace. The employees who use 4-wheelers usually travel alone and mostly have a passenger space of about 3-4 people. A small fraction of people also use bicycles to go to the work.

The Conclusion drawn from the surveys and primary statistical data was that people believe that starting the car pooling within their corporate network will not only help them cutting their monthly travel cost but also help them get to know their other colleagues from different departments. Currently the availability can be easily fulfilled and and the development of an app to avail the service is required.

HelpmeOut HelpmeOut is an android platform based social service app folio project. The app is dedicated to provide simple, user-friendly interface to avail emergency services which can be used to help ourselves or to help others in emergency conditions like ambulance, police, ďŹ restation etc. The app is highly dependent on location mapping and has other features like clicking snaps and sending them directly to the governing depts. and national/international/local media handles and provide locations for people who are starving for food.

Scenarios Scenario 1:

Name: Utsav Singh Chandel Age: 26 years old Occupation: Neurologist Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan Ustav hails from Ludhiana and works as a neurologist at Modi Fortis Hospital. He is an expert in his field and handles his cases with ease. He is very dedicated towards his work and does whatever he can to bring a patient back to his well-self. He is also not money-minded and puts the priority of life before earning money.

Ustav is in his car when he sees a girl at the side of the silent road with her head bleeding and her vehicle collapsed at some distance. He applies emergency first aid measures and calls ambulance who are having a hard time searching the lesser known location. Though the girl reaches hospital safely, the situation could have gotten worse if the ambulance was a little too late.

Scenario 2: Name: Raman Singh Rajput Age: 32 years old Occupation: Lawyer Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan Raman is a Jaipur based lawyer and a specialist in handling property related cases. He is a disciplined man with sharp and clean looks and follows a proper timetable through his day. He only takes cases which are high yielding and tends to ignore/avoid small, petty cases considering them a waste of time and energy.

Name: Jusleen Kaur Age: 25 years old Occupation: Beautician Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan Jusleen is a professional beautician from New Delhi and has her own beauty parlor/salon in Jaipur. She is very concerned about skins and wants everyone’s skin to look perfect. She also takes good care of her own grooming and treatment and is very money-oriented. While being money-oriented, she doesn’t stop herself from spending her money on herself and ever others whenever she wants to.

Raman is on his way to home when he is stopped by some people who are then trying to threaten him to drop the case or else he will die. He cannot call the police in front of them or else he will get in trouble. He has no choice but to momentarily agree to withdraw the case and believes he could have handled it if he had a discreet way to contact the police.

Scenario 3: Jusleen is in having dinner with her family but there is a lot of dinner which is left. She thinks of giving it to some poor people around her block but is unable to find one in their posh society. All the food which could have been a good meal for a whole familygoes to waste the next day.
