Camp Boggy Creek’s Camper Holiday Party:

The Greatest Party on Earth!

On Saturday, December 13, 2014 Camp Boggy Creek welcomed over 640 campers and family members to their annual Holiday Party, The Greatest Party on Earth. Each year the staff and over 150 volunteers transform the Camp into a holiday extravaganza for terminally ill children and their families. The day was filled with music, delicious food, arts & crafts, carnival games and lots of dancing and singing to celebrate the holiday season.

Evie Tanner with Volunteer

Mr. John Hart, Chairman of the Southeast Advisory Council for the Camp volunteered with his wife, Jessie and daughters, Tiffany and Heather. “My family and I were so grateful to give of our time to help these sick children experience a magical winter wonderland. The smiles and hugs we received from the children were priceless. We asked our daughters what they wanted for Christmas and they told us they wanted us to send a child from our community to Camp, and that is exactly what we did – sponsored a child for a week of fun. Our girls claim giving the gift of Camp to a child in their honor was the best present they could ever receive”. Camp Boggy Creek is located in Eustis, Florida. It is a year round camp where children with serious illnesses can escape the struggles of their everyday life and just be kids. Over 7,000 children from South Florida have experienced boundless fun through the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations who believe in the camp’s mission. Camp is always free of charge. To learn more about Camp Boggy Creek and how you can get involved locally, contact Leah Miles at 561-281-1793, lmiles@campboggycreek.org or visit our website at www.campboggycreek.org
