WHY’D THE ROOSTER CROSS A1A? While Hammock residents were scurrying around to prepare for Hurricane Dorian, another resident seemed lost: A rooster was walking around the Publix parking lot. Despite the stress of Dorian prep, “People were in surprisingly good moods, chatty and playful,” said one resident, Becky Pourchot. “Several people talked about making soup of him, while another said she wouldn’t sleep well unless she knew he was OK.” Another resident said he lived across A1A.
