YOUR TOWN VICTORIA GREENEY’S LEMONADE STAND BECOMES A FLAGLER HUMANE SOCIETY FUNDRAISER Victoria Greeney was sitting with her father, James, at the dining room table recently, and she said, “Let’s do a lemonade stand, Daddy.” With help from Victoria’s grandmother, Roseann Conklin, from Carrabba’s Italian Grill and from a local Chevron station, Victoria made her lemonade stand and planned to set it up for three hours on a Saturday. Since she wants to be a veterinarian, she decided she would donate the money to Flagler Humane Society. The goal: $100. Victoria got a hold of her two

best friends, Mia Hoeni and London Hibbard, to help sell the lemonade. They spread the word to their classrooms and others. That Saturday, Victoria’s lemonade stand raised $380 and two bags of dog food in under three hours. “It was a very successful morning,” her father, James Greeney, reported. “The following week, we dropped off the check to Flagler Humane Society, who were very grateful for our hard work and dedication to see this project all the way through. We would like to thank all the families involved, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Chevron on Pine Lakes Parkway, the people who donated their time and money, and especially Flagler Humane Society for helping animals when they have no place to go and no one to love them. We plan on doing an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society. We had such a good turn out, and we are hoping to make an even bigger contribution next year.”
