Florida is planning to suspend vacation rentals, require travelers entering the state from Louisiana to self-isolate, and set up checkpoints in the Panhandle to stop Louisiana travelers and inform them of the isolation order Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said during a press conference March 27. The state’s 14-day quarantine order for travelers coming from New York to Florida has been working, and the state has since screened 3,400 travelers, DeSantis said. “Because we have put in the 14-day self-isolation requirement, you have seen a dramatic reduction in air traffic from the SEE VACATION PAGE 7

For the safety of residents and staff, on March 23 the management office has temporarily closed the doors to all walk-in traffic until further notice. However, your staff is still here to assist you. Just give us a call and a staff member can help with most issues over the phone. Residents who need a new vehicle transponder can email or drop off the information at the door. Modification forms can be downloaded from plantationbayhomeowners.com, or a form can be emailed or mailed to you. An appointment at the office can also be made if necessary. Management’s phone number is 386437-0038. We are hopeful that we can return to normal operation some-
time in April. Any time we have a need to inform the community, we send email blasts. If you are not receiving these informational announcements, that means we do not have your current email address, so please contact us and provide your email address. The March meeting for Plantation Bay Board of Directors was canceled. The April Board meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 27. As usual, scheduled meetings are posted at each community entrance on the LED signs. The Plantation Bay Residential Modification Committee (RMC) has postponed the April meeting to April 13. Westlake’s Annual Meeting has been postponed until further notice.

The second quarterly assessments for 2020 were due on April 1. Homeowners are required to send their payments directly to BB&T at P.O. Box 628207, Orlando, Florida 32862-8207. Residents who mail a check, please make sure your payment coupon is in the envelope with your payment. Electronic and credit card payments must have the bill pay number submitted. Westlake homeowners should mail payments directly to the management, 103A North Lake Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
