Connecting to Reference Networks using GSR2700ISX and Nokia Bluetooth Mobile Phones Listing of compatible phones: Nokia GSM: 3230, 3250; 6021, 6111, 6230, 6230i, 6260, 6255, 6265, 6265i, 6270, 6280, 6600, 6611, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, 7610, 7700, 7710, 8800, 8801, 9300, 9300i, 9500, E60, E61, E70, N70, N71, N80, N90 and N91.

Note: Models in bold were tested and are known to work. Other models listed have the required specifications to work with this product, but have not been tested.

In order for MobileNtrip to run properly, the phone itself must support Java MIDP 2.0 with Bluetooth API (JSR-82). It is also preferable to purchase an “unbranded” phone if possible, because often times when the service providers brand their phones they place restrictions on internet port access, etc…If you go with an unbranded phone, then you can be assured that there will be no restrictions placed on the phone.

Download the MobileNtrip program from 4cell.net 1. You may need to modify some web settings using the Nokia Configurator if you are not able to connect to any sites. https://nokiags.wdsglobal.com/standard?siteLanguageId=118

2. On your phone’s web browser, navigate to the area where you can key in a web address. Key in this site: http://mobilentrip.com/wap/index.wml and press OK or ENTER. 3. Once you have connected to the site, you will see the download area:

4. Press the <Download> link.

5. You will then see a couple screens that ask if you want to continue the download:

6. Choose <Yes> on both of these screens.

7. Upon successful installation, the MobileNtrip program should be visible in the main applications folder. (Some models may differ here. There are some Nokia models that store the applications in the “Collections” area of the operating system” which can be accessed by using the “Go To” softkey)

8. Now, you must register the product. When you first go into the MobileNtrip software, you will see a screen similar to the one below:

9. You can obtain your phone’s IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

10. Send an email to support@4cell.net with your name, company and IMEI number.

State in the email that you wish to receive a registration code for your phone’s IMEI number. They will then direct you to purchase the software online, and then you will receive your registration code via email.

11. Once you have sent the IMEI number to support@4cell.net, you need to purchase the product by visiting either of the two sites: United States payments: https://ssl.allpay.eu/?pid=JTKN2AMY69DB7B9FVINI7T4TI9IQ5ALI

12. Once you have received your registration code, please input the code via cell phone keypad (seen in step #7). Press <OK> when complete, and it will register the product online.

13. You are now ready to use the product with your GPS receiver.

Using the MobileNtrip program with the GSR2700ISX receiver (NTRIP option) 1. You will see an opening screen that asks “Ntrip” or “TCP/IP”. Choose Ntrip.

2. Once you confirm the Ntrip option, then you will see the main menu:

3. Now, you need to key in your reference network logon information. Press the down arrow and then select <Settings>

4. Now, you need to key in your Ntrip Caster information. Press the down arrow and then select <Caster>

5. Key in the following information on the phoneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s keypad that is relative to your local reference network (get the info from your reference network provider):

Press <OK> when complete.

Now, we must download the individual mount points from a source table. Select the <Connection> option Press the down arrow and then select <Sourcetable> Select the <Mountpoints> option.

Select the softkey on the right for <Download>. The program will begin the download process for all the mount points that are on that particular caster.

10. Once complete, then select <OK>.

11. Select the <Mountpoints> option again. You should see a listing of mount points.

12. Using the up/down keypad on your phone, select the mount point that you would like to use and then press <Options> <Select> (or the middle button).

13. Now, you must press the <Set> button to confirm your choice:

15. Now, back out to the â&#x20AC;&#x153;Settingsâ&#x20AC;? menu and select the <Mountpoint> option again.

You need to determine if this site requires that the receiver send the NMEA (position) message to the Ntrip Caster. Most VRS do require this. If it is required, then choose the NMEA = YES option and press <OK>.

16. You may also need to manually set the buffer size for the data transmitted between MobileNtrip and the GSR2700ISX receiver. From the <Settings> menu, choose the <Correction data> option. The default setting is 128, but it is recommended that you key in 256 in this case. Press <OK> when completed.

17. Now that you have your reference network parameters defined, it is time to make a connection to the GPS receiver and get to work. From the MAIN menu, select the <Connection> option.

18. Select the <Data Stream> option.

19. Select <Options> and <Connect>. You should see the Bluetooth browser being looking for the receiver:

20. Once the receiver is found, then you will see the receiverâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s serial number appear in the window:

21. Press <Options> and <Select>.

22. Press <OK> to confirm the connection.

23. Now, you may attempt to connect to the GSR2700ISX receiver. Make sure the heading on the screen says “GPS Connection”. Press <Options> and <Connect>.

Within a few seconds, you should see a confirmation of the connection that reads “Connected GSR2700ISX”. This means that you have bonded with the GSR2700ISX and you are ready to receive data.

24. Next, you must connect to the caster. Press the <Caster> softkey on the right to start.

25. Make sure that the top of the screen reads, “Caster Connection” and press <Options> and <Connect>.

26. The connection process should begin. Make sure that the Status finally reads “Receiving data…”. When you see this message, then you know that data is being sent to XCOM2 port of the GSR2700ISX. 27. You should be able to utilize the corrections using “Bluetooth cell” option as a data link set by your GPS data collection software of choice.

Using the MobileNtrip program with the GSR2700ISX receiver (TCP/IP option) 1. You will see an opening screen that asks “Ntrip” or “TCP/IP”. Choose TCP/IP. 2. Once you confirm the TCP/IP option, then you will see the main menu:

3. Now, you need to key in your reference network logon information. Press the down arrow and then select <Settings>

4. Now, you need to key in your reference site information. Highlight the “Host” option and press <Options> and then <Select>.

5. Key in the following information on the phone’s keypad that is relative to your local reference network (get the info from your reference network provider): IP Address: Port: Press <OK> when complete.

6. Now that you have your reference network parameters defined, it is time to make a connection to the GPS receiver and get to work. From the main menu, select the <Connection> option.
