How to choose the right chair…

Modern chairs can help you in and out of your seat and make it easy to find your most comfortable seating or reclined position. Choose one that’s right for you.

Types of Chairs

It all starts with the right fit!

1. Single motor chairs The cheapest option, these give you a combined back-recline and raised footplate function, plus a lift function.

2. S ingle motor chairs – 3 way action When reclining, the footboard rises first, then the back reclines. Also standard lift function.

It’s worth noting down the exact measurements of your ideal-sized chair, to give you the maximum comfort and benefit from your new chair.

3. Dual motor chairs You can adjust the back independently from the footplate giving you many more posture options.

4. Dual motor chairs with 4th position As 3 above, but when the footplate reaches its maximum height it extends by a further 4”–6”.

In recline mode the legs are raised a little higher than the heart, a medically advised position.

5. Wall-hugger chairs Ideal for smaller rooms. Placed as close as 4” to a wall they can still adjust to a fully reclined position.

6. Tilt-in-space chairs You can tilt forward or backwards while maintaining the position of the knees and hips.

Useful for weaker back muscles.

7. Heat and massage functions Enjoy a variety of massage functions for up to 10 areas of your body and with the addition of heat if required. Luxury!

8. Pressure-relieving foam construction Reduce the risk of painful pressure sores with optional pressure relieving foam construction.

9. Infection control Advanced Panvelle Stretch fabrics are AntiMicrobial / Anti–fungal (Anti MRSA) waterproof, breathable, stain-resistant and have multidirectional stretch.
