The 12th annual Art in Clay Ceramic Art Show & Sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17 and 18, at the Lucie Stern Community Center, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. LEARN TO SEW ... Christine Hopkins will teach a class on “Beginning Sewing” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Nov. 29 to Dec. 13, at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, 700 Alma St., Menlo Park. The class will cover how to select and read a pattern, layout and cutting and sewing in class.
