NOW ENROLLING: The PiroAD Study For Adults With Mild Dementia Due To Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s disease is the leading cause of dementia in the elderly population. Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, and other cognitive (thinking) abilities that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer’s disease is progressive, which means that dementia symptoms are mild in the beginning but gradually worsen over a number of years. As the world’s population continues to age, researchers continue to explore dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease and possible investigational drugs for these patients.
PiroAD is studying an investigational drug for adults with mild dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease. The purpose of this study is to find out if the investigational drug is effective and safe.
