Energy Systems Technicians: Job Description and Educational Requirements Energy systems technicians are responsible for implementing energy solutions for commercial and residential buildings, designing and maintaining heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration units and troubleshooting energy systems. They also work with architectures to integrate energy technologies into the latest green buildings.
