The recommendation of the election to run con-current to the PAM Council Election [PCE] was proposed by the PAM President Ar Datuk Ezumi Harzani during the PAM Council meeting on the 25th of February 2022, taking precedence from the inaugural PGE 2021 which saw the first elected PAM Graduate on Council member Dr. Najah Alwi.

The election would result in a Graduate Representative on Council as previously provisioned within the PAM Constitution under the non-corporate member clause 8.10.2. Previous Graduates on Council were nominated and selected by Council.

While the Institute works on improving due process, communication , and key initiatives, PAMNEXT would like to urge graduate members to take interest and increase participation as community driven action is the most meaningful form of action.

PAMNEXT would like to reach out to all members of the institute, irrespective of membership category, for their discernable support to aid in incerasing awareness, interest and the call to action in the voting participation amongst eligible graduate members within the setting of the workplace & the industry as a united community act for the agenda of the future of the Institution.

More urgently to raise the low participation of votership at about 4.0% out of appxoimately 1,500 eligible voters in 2021.

This year PAMNEXT is working on improvements such as prompt due notice, and ease of voting process for voters to increase participation for the 1,363 eligible voters in the Graduate & Associate Graduate Category.

PAMNEXT had bounced back from being dormant in the year prior with a bustling record of 12 webinars, 10 initiatives (projects) & policies, working with over 15 project partners and a total of up to 50 contributors. All the more meaningful with the participation from PAM members and the Architecture & Built Environment Fraternity.

Make sure you carefully read the eligibility for candidates & voters to be fully impactful and help chose the representative to continue the momentum set this year.
