Just in case you didn't watch the video - here's the scoop.

Hi, my name is Pam and the creator of ROC Metaphysical. What is ROC Metaphysical? It’s a metaphysical online magazine. Usually the first question is how did you get that name for the magazine. Since I live in Rochester, NY home of the FOX Sisters who made spiritualism popular, I thought about the name. Many businesses here use the letters R-O-C and the same for the airport. Using only three letters as part of the magazine name just seemed right.

The magazine has alternative health, spiritual and metaphysical articles, videos, event listings, advertising and an alternative directory. The first of each month the new edition is uploaded. Prior issues can be found at www.issuu.com.

I have been a seeker of knowledge about metaphysical information for as long as I can remember. I have a metaphysical meetup which helped me connect with teachers and speakers about all kinds of topics. Because of running the meetup and knowing that my presenters also wanted to reach out farther, it seemed like the next logical step was to share the information on a much wider scale.

Every month the magazine is new because of the writers and their articles.

The writers somehow magically find me and voluntarily share their articles. It’s so exciting to see what comes to my email.

Some of the info may click with you and some may not. In my opinion it’s always good to question your understanding. But we’re all in a different place in our knowledge and desire to learn.

I’m a studious soul, always reading books on all kinds of topics, checking out websites and you tube to find that right info plus I have attended loads of classes. I thought hmmm - what if I took all that and put it into a magazine to help you have a place where you can go without having to search high and low like I had to.

"Awakening" By Aingeal Rose and Ahonu

Aingeal Rose and I, for many, many years recorded podcasts which we started in 2009 and ramped up around 2012 when you had this whole Mayan calendar thing going on. We were answering a lot of questions online for people who were confused about awakening.

That's over ten years ago and here we are still answering the same questions, and that's okay, because it's a whole new batch of people and we've awakened in our own awareness.

So, this morning, the whole idea of awakening came up. The reason it came up was because we were listening back to some of our old recordings to see which one would be most suitable to put into our new World of Empowerment. The one we listened to last night was all about dreams where one question was, “If your dream was interrupted by somebody and you awoke pretty quickly, what actually happens?”

The entire discussion revolved around what happens to the body when it is awakening. We found of course, that the eyes open, light comes into the body, hormones start flowing, the blood starts pumping, muscles get flexed and stretched and so on. Life, as it were, comes into the mind-body system. Some people can awaken very Page | 17

quickly, but for others it takes a little bit of time.

They'll sit bolt upright in the bed and boom, they're awake! And speaking metaphysically, that's similar to the Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree and becoming enlightened. En-light-ened. Light has come in. For others, it takes that cup of coffee in the morning for the awakening process to fully kick in. You sometimes hear people say, “I'm not awake until I get my first cup of Joe.” It's why the likes of Starbucks and coffee shops make a fortune from people lining up there in the mornings to get their cup of coffee because they believe that's what it takes for full awakening to happen.

So, no matter if it's an outside stimulus or an inside stimulus, there's a physical, emotional and spiritual change that takes place to move from the physical sleep into awakening.

Now, let's move into the awakened state of the spiritual. I believe it involves the same or similar kind of change. Why do I say that?

Because, few enough of us can just wake and be spiritually aware with knowledge, wisdom and divine inspiration.

Some people are awakening naturally and speedily, of course. But for those of us who need that spiritual cup of Joe, to wake up to the new World of Empowerment and the new world of enlightenment, there can be a period or ‘process’ of awakening. There can be physical, mental and emotional changes that need to take place. This includes letting go of old ideas and patterns, letting go of the past and going through forgiveness processes.

So, if you're not one that is awakening yet, don't lash yourself over the back with the proverbial whip. Don't beat yourself up because it could be that you're in that process of awakening. It just takes time. Some people lounge around in bed for a little while. They enjoy the stretch, the comfort of the warmth knowing that shortly they're going to have to put their feet out on the cold ground and get dressed or whatever they're going to do for the day. That could be the case with you and me and many, many people.

Maybe we do need to put our feet out on the ground. Maybe we do need to open our eyes and allow the Sun to come in through the pineal gland and come down through our body and enter into our physical system to begin awakening. Maybe that's what has to happen spiritually. So let's go easy with ourselves today. Let's awaken slowly.

"Secrets of Paradise Tarot - New Card Reveal Part I"

It has been two years of a roller coaster of emotions and an amazing experience during the creation and now entering in the pre-order season of “Secrets of Paradise Tarot: An 81-Card Deck & Guidebook Inspired by Caribbean & Latin American Culture & Mysticism”.

This was originally designed with a Mediterranean illustration.

However, we decided to go all the way Hispanic with all the cards, so we changed The Fool for El Bobo. This is based on a story book and theater play about a guy who, in the eyes of others seems to be a fool, but he really just like getting in trouble. It is part of the folklore from Puerto Rico combined with the Jibaro history of having to wake up so early and walk with the donkey full of merchandise all the way down to the nearby town to try selling their veggies and roots.

This card is closer to the classical Fool from the Waite-Coleman Smith Tarot. I love the fact that the illustrator created an illusion where you do not know if the Jibaro will fall over the cliff or if he is just looking from up above enjoying the view while taking a short break from his long trip. I added shoes on his feet, but there were many who walked barefoot, they did not have the resources to buy a pair of shoes. They had to maintain a family with the little money they made.

Also, I think a lot of people back in the late 1800s and early 1900s might have thought that a Jibaro from the mountains were fool because they probably did not have the same education as people who had access to better schools. But they were hardworking entrepreneurs selling at a retail price their own seasonal harvest.

"Ascension" By Gloria De Pietro

Ascension: The evolutionary process that takes humans from the third-dimensional realm of duality to a fifth-dimension reality of love and light.

According to many of the ancient scriptures there are cycles in development that mankind can attain which is called an age. The cycle of an age is 25,920 years, in that time frame humans are given an opportunity to move up the evolutionary ladder. Right now, we are in the third-dimensional reality, at the cusp of change, at the end of the Piscean age or at the end of the 25,920-year cycle and according to some scholars we have been at this juncture before. Evidently, every time we come to the end of an age, we have the opportunity to shift into the next higher cycle but, there must be a critical mass in order to make the transition. It’s like we have to flip the switch in order to make the leap. In the past we have been here but there weren’t enough awake individuals in order to carry the planet into the 4th or even 5th dimension.

Jesus said that at the end of the age he would create heaven on earth.

The ascension is what he was referring to. Not only can humans ascend but the entire planet is going to change. This has not happened Page | 24

before. When Jesus died and was risen after three days he was reported as being luminescent, bright like the sun. This is what is known as a light body, he transitioned into a light body which he said we could do all that he had done and more. But we don’ have to die in order to do this. We are able to acquire a light body by being mindful, clearing up our karma and by being loving and compassionate.

In my research I have discovered that every planet goes through these phases. When a planet is formed it is in 1st density, this corresponds to the root chakra, the color red, the formation of the elements, minerals, earth, air, fire and water. The 2nd dimension or density corresponds to the sacral chakra, the color orange, represented on the earth as a single cell organism, plants, fish, birds and mammals.

The 3rd density or dimension is where we are now, corresponding to the solar plexus, the color yellow, this is how a person presents itself to the world, as in your personality, how you manifest yourself to others. The earth’s evolution in the 3rd dimension is self-awareness, human consciousness, id and the ego. It is also the stage of duality, right - wrong, black – white, this realm is seen by the separate parts of the brain, a right hemisphere and left. In a 5th dimensional being there is only one, singular brain no division. The 4th dimension is the realm of dreams, the heart chakra, the awareness of the heart opens us up to more love, more compassion. The heart also has knowledge that is universal, expansive, all knowing, intuitive, limitless. Through your meditation and focus you can bring your awareness into the heart chakra, the all-knowing part of yourself and less into the monkey brain of duality.

It is difficult to move into this loving state if you are still harboring, hate, resentment, deceit, jealousy, or any of the lower vibrational states of consciousness. It is easy to be pulled into these lesser states when you listen to negative talk, negative news, living in fear, worrying about getting sick or how you will pay your bills. There is a controlling force on this planet who wants to keep you in this state of fear, which keeps us in a 3rd dimensional reality. Because by controlling the masses they enrich themselves and keep us at a disadvantage. You can call them demonic forces, or the cabal or the illuminate or any one of a dozen names but the truth is they are a minority and the only way they can control the masses is by dividing us into race, money, ideology, politics, even language. conquer it’s the oldest trick and easy to do, especially with mass media.

For those of us who are aware of these tactics it is easy to see the manipulation, pull back the curtain and see the wizard at the controls who is spreading misinformation to keep us confused and in fear, pulling us down into despair. Remember you are a precious gift of love and light and don’t let anyone pull you off your mission. Don’t listen to negative talk, remove yourself from the false narrative, stay in your heart center. Stay focused, pray, meditate, release all negative thoughts, eat good wholesome food, drink lots of water and dream big.

If you have a nagging phobia, or fear that you can’t release, chances are you have been carrying it around with you for lifetimes. It is coming up now in order for you to heal and release it, because now is the time to move up the ladder. This is what I do, this is my purpose, what I came here to do. I can connect with your higher self and ask what is holding you back from ascending. Your all-knowing knowledgeable higher self will reveal the story that hasn’t been resolved. This story can be from a former life, an ancestral inheritance or even a spirit attachment that is using you to carry out its own agenda. Often it comes down to forgiving yourself or forgiving someone else to move on. Once you forgive you can let it go and the repetitive karmic pattern will end. When you are free of past preconceived notions you can move more fully into your life’s purpose.

At this juncture in time, I believe we are here to remember who we truly are; to love each other and to take care of this beautiful planet that we call home. We can create a heaven on earth, all of us together working towards a common goal.

When Leslie Lemke was born prematurely, he had brain damage, cerebral palsy, and had to have his eyes surgically removed due to glaucoma. When he was put up for adoption aged six months, May, a nurse who was 52 with 5 children of her own, welcomed him into her family.

When Leslie was 16, May was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of a piano playing in her downstairs sitting room. Thinking she’d left the television on she went downstairs to turn it off. When she entered the room she was astonished to find Leslie playing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 flawlessly on their baby grand – he had heard it on TV earlier that day.

From that day on, despite him having no musical training, Leslie began to play all styles of music - from ragtime to classical. All it took for him to play a composition perfectly was to hear the music once.

For many years afterwards, before his health declined, he gave regular concerts in the US, Japan and Scandinavia, and also appeared on many US TV shows.

Another astonishing person is Ellen, who has stunned the world with her ability as a human chronometer. When she was eight Ellen became fascinated by the speaking clock, listening to every announcement, right down to every last second. From then on Ellen was able to tell the exact time - precisely to each hour, minute, and second of the day.

Both Leslie and Ellen are Savants. This is a human condition brought to the world’s attention by the fictional character Raymond Babbitt, played by Dustin Hoffman, in the 1988 film ‘Rain Man.’ Savant syndrome is a rare, but extraordinary, condition in which people with serious mental disabilities, including autism, have an individual genius which stands in marked contrast to their disability.

The real ‘Rain Man’ was Kim Peek. What Kim could do was astounding: he had read some 12,000 books and remembered everything about them. ‘Kimputer,’ as he was affectionately known to many, used to read two pages at once - his left eye scanning the left page while his right eye read the right page. It took him about 3 seconds to get through two pages. Kim could recall facts and trivia from 15 subject areas from history to geography to sports. Give him a date, and Kim could tell you what day of the week it was. He also remembered all the music he had ever heard.

Some savants are also known as Lightning Calculators. These are people who can do mental arithmetic very fast in their heads without using a pencil, paper or a calculator. Daniel Tammet first became famous when he recited Pi from memory to 22,514 decimal places - a feat which took over 5 hours.

Numbers, according to Daniel, are special to him. He actually ‘sees’ figures and calculations – a rare ability called synesthesia. In his Mind each number from 1 to 10,000 has its own unique shape, colour, texture and feel. He has described 289 as being particularly ugly, 333 as especially attractive, and Pi as beautiful.

So once again the ability of the Mind to tap into a field of information ‘out there’ is dramatically demonstrated. But is there any way that ordinary mortals like you and me can access this information? The answer is a definite ‘Yes.’ One of the ways that ordinary folk become Page | 29

extraordinary is through the ancient skill of Dowsing.

When inventor Thomas A. Edison, was once asked, 'What is electricity?' He replied: 'I don't know - but it’s there - so let's use it'.

Dowsing is the same. Something is there. When dowsers use the skill, it works. Dowsing is a human faculty allowing access to information not normally available to our five senses. This ancient art had almost been forgotten but has experienced a comeback – perhaps in response to today’s reliance on technology, which is separating us from the natural world.

Historically, dowsing was known for its ability to locate water, gold, oil and other minerals. But it has also been used in matters of life and death. During the Second World War Colonel Kenneth Merrylees worked as a bomb-disposal expert, using his dowsing skills to find unexploded ordnance with delayed-action fuses which had penetrated deep into the ground. And during the Vietnam war, some US Marines used dowsing to locate underground mines and tunnels.

During the Cold War in the 1960's, American dowser Verne Cameron, using a pendulum, shocked US Navy officials by successfully map dowsing (locating on a map) every submarine in the Navy's fleet. He then went on to locate every Russian submarine in the world.

Afterwards, the CIA determined that Cameron was a risk to national security and he was forbidden to leave the United States!

In computer terms, dowsing is a kind of spiritual search engine – scanning all that is known for answers to anything and everything: From, ‘Would applying for this job be a good career move for me?’ To, ‘How many past lives have I lived?’ From, ‘Should I wear a waterproof coat today?’ To, ‘Is there life elsewhere in the universe?’ Dowsing for answers is limited only by your imagination.

A recent study by scientists tested the depth of meditation reached by adepts like yogis, Sufis, and monks. This was done by measuring their brainwave patterns. The scientists discovered that professional dowsers reached the same Theta levels as Zen Buddhists, who had perfected their techniques over many years.

In short, dowsing harnesses the ability still there deep down in each one of us – our Intuition. And through honing our intuition, we become increasingly psychic.

"Becoming Familiar With Spirit Familiars"

The witch and her familiar are iconic. Just think of the witch’s black cat or a raven on a witch’s shoulder that is so ingrained in our popular image of the witch. This image is so deeply instilled in our collective understanding of witches because it goes straight to the heart of what makes a witch – well, a witch – namely, a connection to the unseen worlds of spirit and magic. In my own journey as a folk witch, my relationship with my spirit familiars has been the cornerstone of my personal practice.

But what is a “spirit familiar?”

This is not a simple question to answer because there are very different ideas about who and what a witch’s familiar is. Some consider their beloved pet to be their familiar, others only spirits, and yet others a thought form of the witch. In this article, I will present my own understanding of spirit familiars based historical accounts, lore, and my own direct experience with familiars. That being said, if your understanding is different from mine, be guided by your own truth.

Historically, the term “familiar” is most often associated with the spirit allies of British and Scottish witches and cunning folk. This Page | 32

does not mean that these important spirit relationships are reserved for those whose ancestry or practice stems from this part of the world. Spirit allies are universal to those who connect with the Otherworld and engage in magical practices. For this reason, the witch’s familiar shares common traits with spirit allies from other cultures, including, the shaman’s power animal, the Norse and Germanic ‘fylgia,” and the Irish “fetch.”

My own definition of a “spirit familiar” is a powerful, shape-shifting astral spirit who a witch fosters a strong, reciprocal relationship with, and who over time, becomes a guide, craft teacher, protector, and lender of power to the witch. Wow, that is a mouthful! But to define familiars in this way clearly delineates what a spirit familiar is and why these relationships are so important to magical practitioners.

For the remainder of this article, we will explore my definition of a “spirit familiar.” We will begin with unraveling the first part of the definition that “spirit familiars are powerful, shape-shifting astral spirits.”

Familiars are Powerful, Shape-Shifting Astral Spirits: Emma Wilby, author of “Cunning Folk and Familiar Spirits,” closely connects familiars with a very specific type of astral being – faeries.

She draws this conclusion from historical accounts of familiars found in the confessions of accused British and Scottish witches during the 16th and 17th centuries.

The fae, like all astral beings, are spirits between this world and the next, but closer to our physical realm than to higher spiritual planes.

In fact, the lower astral realms overlap our world and if we could pierce the veil right where we stand, we would touch the astral planes.

Astral spirits are a mix of spirit and material substance. As Wilby puts it, “…the fairy possessed some kind of semi-material or ‘astral’ form putting them somewhere on the spectrum between human flesh and bones and spirit.” The semi-substance of astral spirits compared to more ethereal beings, gives astral spirits the ability to strongly appear, manifest and shift things in the physical world. They are Page | 33

masters at harnessing and bringing astral energies into the material plane to weave fate, heal, divine the future, create, and more.

Through relationships with astral spirits, we too can learn these skills, as well as form strong alliances with beings who can lend their unique power, energy and knowledge to magical workings and spiritual endeavors.

Because astral bodies are malleable and can change form, spirit familiars have long appeared in history as both animals and humanoids. They are adept shapeshifters who can teach us how to skinwalk in our astral form.

As stated before, the British/Scottish spirit familiar shares common characteristics with the Norse and Germanic “fylgia.” The fylgia, like the familiar, is an astral being and spirit helper who appears in lore sometimes as a human and other times as an animal. The fylgia overlaps with another Germanic spirit called the “disir,” or ancestral fate mothers. The word “fairy” stems from the French word for “fate,” and “fate mothers” are another term for the well-known “fairy godmothers” of European fairy tales. Familiars and fylgia therefore have in common that they are connected to and may in fact be faeries, along with sharing the traits of being astral beings, shapeshifters and spirit allies to the living.

The fylgia is often referred to as the “one who goes forward.” These spirits can be powerful protectors who travel to the places we will visit and can warn of any dangers ahead.

I have personally experienced this type of warning from a spirit familiar when my husband and I went to visit a commercial building that we were considering buying. I suddenly became very sick as we drove towards the property. As we got closer, I became sicker and sicker until we decided to cancel our viewing. As soon as we canceled, the intense sickness in my stomach instantly disappeared. This was my familiar/fylgia warning me that we were in potential danger or that we would seriously regret buying the property. My husband and I have never looked back and wondered what if we bought that old 1800s building! We were grateful for the clear warning to go no further.

The Irish “fetch,” is another spirit being who shares common traits with the spirit familiar and fylgia. It is thought by some to be the Celtic counterpart to the Norse fylgia. It is described as appearing to a person soon before their death. The fetch is “the follower,” because it is with us from birth until we pass; but like the fylgia, the fetch “goes forward” to where the person will ultimately go and guides the soul to the afterlife. Both the fetch and fylgia are sometimes described as being the astral body of a person, but this confusion speaks to the malleable nature of astral spirits who can appear in one breath as a doppelganger of us, and in another, as a raven or wolf.

The fetch as a death harbinger might seem counter to the concept of a spirit ally during a witch’s life, but Robin Artisson, author of “An Carrow Gwyn: Sorcery and the Ancient Fayerie Faith,” helps to resolve this contradiction. Artisson directly claims the fetch as another word for the witch’s familiar and explains that “witches and sorcerers often gain their chief power from identifying with the fetchfollower long before death.” Artisson views this as a “reversal of the natural flow of the relationship between human and follower.” After all, the witch has chosen a path very different or “reverse” from most, seeking in life what is beyond death by tapping into the unseen world of energy and spirits. Artisson believes that the witch-familiar relationship leads to great spiritual transformation for the witch.

The witch fosters a strong, reciprocal relationship with familiar spirits: The benefits of being in a strong relationship with powerful and knowledgeable astral spirits are many. But first and foremost, spirit familiars are teachers to the witch and guides into the Otherworld. It is in (or from) the Otherworld that the witch can deepen their esoteric, spiritual, occult, intuitive and magical knowledge and abilities.

Having a close relationship with familiars opens the doorway to the spirit worlds. Once this door is open, your spirits can teach you the valuable skill of hedge riding. To ride the hedge, is to travel in astral form into the spirit realms where you can gain valuable insights, guidance, or healing. You can also learn to manifest your will through learning to weave and bring astral energies back to our world. Our Page | 35

spirit familiars join us on these journeys (whether seen or unseen) and help lead us to the knowledge we seek.

It is important to understand that familiars do not do “the bidding” of a witch. They are not bound in servitude, but are instead close friends and allies. In fact, you may find that spirit familiars become as dear to you as family.

Should you seek to enter into a relationship with a familiar, then you must be ready to take on the responsibility of tending to that relationship just as you would any important relationship in your life.

Sacred reciprocity is at the heart of any witch-familiar relationship.

This means you must be willing to take the time to connect and communicate with your spirit familiars. Leaving out food or drink offerings, buying a small statue or piece of jewelry to honor a familiar, expressing gratitude, and merging with your familiar for an energy exchange, are also great ways to strengthen your spirit relationships. These are only a few of many ways to tend to your familiars.

Roger Horne, in his book “Folk Witchcraft: A Guide to Lore, Land and the Familiar Spirit for the Solitary Practitioner” provides practical and helpful advice for approaching a potential familiar. He stresses to: ● Be polite ● Be Kind ● Introduce yourself ● Ask for a name ● Don’t judge a spirit’s appearance (but do judge their actions) ● Give an offering ● Foster a friendship This sounds like good advice for building a strong foundation for any lasting relationship.

The witch-familiar relationship is often sealed by a pact or agreement between the witch and her familiar. The pact sets the intention for a lasting bond – one sealed in trust, dedication, and reciprocity. For Page | 36

this reason, familiars are connected to the Faerie Bride or Husband of lore, as marriage is a symbol of a long commitment. Signing one’s name in the “black book” is another example of the pact between witch and familiar. A witch’s relationship with her familiar is close and intimate – where secrets are told and secrets are kept. This includes learning the secret magical knowledge of your familiars.

But a trusting bond must first be fostered, then developed and maintained. One in which both the witch and the familiar are honored as equals. Not all magical practitioners may view spirit relationships in this way, but I do and have greatly benefited from taking the time to develop strong, reciprocal relationships with my spirit familiars.

Spirit familiars are guides, craft teachers, protectors, and lenders of power to the witch: Spirit familiars are teachers to the magical practitioner. It is a common theme in Celtic lore for cunning folk to be taken by the faeries for a time and taught their craft. Examples of this are found in Thomas Cowan’s book “Fire in the Head,” on Celtic Shamanism. He explains that in Celtic lore there are many accounts of cunning folk being taken to the faerie realms for often seven years, after which they are granted certain powers, talents, or healing abilities. In my opinion, being “taken,” is a way of expressing being initiated by astral spirits into the mysteries of magic, spirits, and the Otherworld. The path of the witch and shaman has always been one of initiation by spirits. Many groups replicate the initiatory path of the witch through rites and rituals, but the most important initiations are those that the witch goes on by herself – guided by her spirit familiar(s).

A well-known example of “being taken” in Scottish lore is the story of “Thomas the Rhymer,” based on the historical figure of Thomas Learmont, the Laird of Ercildoune. Thomas was taken by the Queen of Elphame to the faerie realm for seven years and in return was gifted with true speech (he could not lie), prophecy, and a faerie harp.

Having apprenticed in Northern European Shamanism, it seems no mistake to me that the Queen of Elphame would take an interest in those who might have magical potential and seek to teach such individuals the mysteries of the Otherworld. The Faerie Queen is Page | 37

often thought to be another form of the goddess Freya, the Norse and Germanic goddess of magic and witchcraft.

According to Horne in “Folk Witchcraft,” “The primary reason for a witch to connect with the familiar is to learn….” The power derived from these relationships can be used to: ● Heal others (and yourself) ● Know whether a person will live or die ● Divine the future ● Find lost objects or people ● Communicate with the dead ● Provide protection and strength ● Safely astral travel (“hedge riding” or “journeying”) ● Provide power for magical workings ● Know what lies ahead in your day and travels ● And more…

I could write an entire book on the benefits of a witch’s relationship with her familiar spirits. But instead, I will end with the idea that spirit familiars are craft teachers to the witch. They should be treated with immense respect as they are often ancient, powerful spirits, or connected to ancient beings like the Queen of Elphame (perhaps Freya herself). Your familiar can teach you healing remedies and how to access and strengthen your intuitive gifts. Familiars will help you hone and empower your spell craft and deepen your connection to the unseen worlds.

I hope you will explore this important and often misunderstood element of witchcraft for yourself! When forming any new relationship with an unknown spirit (or person!), be discerning but also brave and open to the incredible riches of knowledge, healing, empowerment and spirituality that spirit familiar relationships hold for the witch. I hope you will take the time to become familiar with your spirit familiars!

"The Human Filters" By Lee Carroll/Kryon

Greetings, dear ones, I am Kryon of Magnetic Service. There is so much to say that I can’t say. The reason that I cannot say is that there are no words – no words that would adequately express that which we feel for you. Group after group like yours we have talked about things that are so important, to us and to you, the meld between us the way we feel for you, the congratulations that we have for you. Dear ones, inside you the predominant thing that we see is us. There is God in you. Regardless of all other messages from all the rest – anyone channelling, reading, whatever – if they don’t tell you that there’s God in you, then walk the other way. The creation story of the planet says that there is God in you, the masters who walked the earth say there is God in you, all of them. This is the theme of the day and what you’re trying to do at this point is to connect. It is the reason, perhaps, that you would come to a channelling instead of another kind of a meeting – listening for the jewels from Spirit, the things that you would relate to, that which was love.

The Human Filters My partner steps aside during these times and we’ve used the words that he “takes his filters away” and I want to talk about that tonight because, dear ones, if there is anything that keeps you and I from joining as one and seeing the light of spirit in your heart, it’s your filters. I want to talk about what they are, why they are what they are, and also then why partner has been able to reduce them. We only do this for one reason. There’s an overwhelming desire for you to connect from our side. What do you think about God? What have you been told? You’ve been told that it’s some kind of judging parent perhaps? One that would dispense evil on you or that which would Page | 40

disturb you or hurt you or harm you or make you suffer? Can you see the humanism in that? Can you understand that it’s simply a copy of parenting, bad parenting? It’s not God, it’s the best you have to figure out God with your filter. And the filter is what you have which is Human and you apply all things to that and that’s not us. You come from the Creative Source built in the image of the Creator and that image is a metaphor for love. Every single Human has the capacity for love, every Human. Even the ones you would say it’s impossible, look at who they are, look at perhaps what they’ve done – I’m telling you that all of you are created equally in this way. You have the choice to follow the high road to God or not. That’s the duality that lives in each of you. To go into a dark place ,to talk about dark things, or to see the Creator in you, the light has always been this way and Humans are beginning to change.

I want to talk about your filters. If you are sitting here having difficulty believing that this is real, this is going to explain why. If you believe it’s real, but then you have difficulty believing some of the other things that I talk about, I’m going to explain why. There is no judgment that you are this way, dear Human Being. It’s only marveling that you’ve come so far with what you have. What I’m going to call filters is life experience. I’m going to segment it into five places or areas or categories, all of the above, because they’re concepts. I do not use the numbers idly for they all are metaphors of something else.

Look up five in numerology, even the simplest of numerology, and you will see why I chose five. There are reasons behind the reasons and as we talk to you I want you to know and to understand this comes from the Central Source, the source of love with a hand extending to you right now saying we love you so much and we can discuss and talk about so much that we understand about you, so much.

Filter One - Growing Up The first filter is what we’re going to call growing up. It’s your social filter. As you grew up in your society, you learned about all of it. In the process of being a Human and growing up from small to large, you got lessons along the way of what to believe, what not to believe, how to survive, how others didn’t survive, what to watch out for, what to be careful of. You learned what makes you happy and sad, you developed that which you called your social personality. You learned Page | 41

about other Human Beings. Depending upon what you were, where you were born and what your parents did, you came and became one who was trusting or not trusting, one who questions everything or questions nothing. All of this is a filter. Now let us describe what we call the definition of a filter. If you’re looking at something pure, perhaps it is white light, the purest light that you can imagine, anything that you would put in front of that light that would diminish it, change it, alter it, or color it would be a filter. Growing up is a filter that makes you a certain way as a Human Being. And that particular certain way is what you deal with all your life. Now most of you are fully comfortable with this. It is you; it is your Human nature. It’s also in 3D. Growing up for you for now on this planet is completely and totally three dimensional and in survival mode and here you sit listening to a multidimensional message filled with light. How are you doing with your filter? Because this filter you grew up with would not necessarily tell you that this is accurate, believable or real. Some of you have had to deal with it, alter it, change it, but you’re still you.

This is one of the biggest filters that a Human Being has, the most understandable filter that a Human Being has. Dear ones, have you ever met someone that is from a foreign land that is so different from yours that their filter is different? That which they do when they eat is different. The things that they have that they consider elegant etiquette is different. You might do things that would offend them and they would be shocked at, and it’s your normal. You get to see that their filter is different from yours, so you can see every single filter that you would have that you would call social or growing up is unique. Now there’s something that ties all of this together and we’re going to discuss it in a moment. That’s one of five. It taints what you see, what you believe, and what others tell you to believe. It is strong.

If somebody wants to change it, it is threatening. It’s in place. Number one.

Filter Two - Spiritual Number two moves around a bit. It is the spiritual filter. What have you been told about God? Who is God? How do you get to God? Can you speak to God? What is God? Do you believe in God? Is it possible there is a Creator of the Universe that knows your name? Some of you have been told there is a Creator of the Universe who is out to punish you if you don’t find out something obscure during your life. Everyone gets punished equally forever. Is that your God? It changes and the Page | 42

filter moves around as some of you then accept or deny that which you have been taught by others. Sometimes it’s actually a part of the first filter because it’s part of growing up. Your parents then take you to church or to a spiritual event and you own that as yours, because it is theirs. If the grown-up likes it, therefore, it must be all right until you find there is something better or more logical. Spiritual filters are sometimes unique to beliefs. How about yours? The spiritual filter you have is filled with your past, what you’ve done, what you have seen, what you have realized, and the changes that you’ve made that allow you to sit here and yet you still have a filter. What have you learned in metaphysics that’s correct and not correct? Dear ones, the Human mind is excellent at compartmentalizing everything and you have done that with God in your own way. You must set a boundary, you say of belief. Some of you still sit and wonder whether the transmission I’m giving you now, to use that word, is coming from the man or the other side of the veil. And then if it’s coming from the other side of the veil, is it totally accurate or is it filtered by him [Lee Carroll]? That’s your filter judging a filter. Your spiritual filter is important to you not in growing up but in life, for how you see the Creator then tempers how your life goes and what you will do. Are you fearful? Are you joyful? Do you believe the end of life creates another life or does it create punishment or judgment? It’s a strong filter for many, it’s no filter for some, which is still a filter. If you do not believe in the Creative Source, your filter then will not let one in if you see it.

It’s a filter. That’s number two.

If you put the filters together, then they make that which you’re trying to see a little more difficult. Each filter dims the light that you would like to see that is pure, each one. If I give you a scenario you’ve never seen before, that you never had when growing up and it’s outside of the box of your spirituality, what will your two filters do? They’ll be in place, strongly in place, you’ll be holding them with both hands so that you don’t get a surprise. This is Human nature, protecting your filter. It is part of what you think it is – your mind – and I’ll tell you why in a moment.

Filter Three - Gender The next one, believe it or not, is very important and it’s your gender filter. Each of you acts a certain way, behaves a certain way, in certain company because of who you are and your gender. The model of your Page | 43

gender, what did your mother tell you about what a woman should be like? You either honored it and did it or rebelled and didn’t, but it made an effect. And the gender that you are, if it is perhaps a woman, you are ladylike or not depending upon that filter’s position, but you still are very aware and act a certain way as a woman. A man has the same kind of thing. What did your father tell you, sir, of what a real man does? And there would be those who would say a real man is one who will never back down in an argument or a real man is one who has compassion for all. Two different kinds of instructions, two different filters that tell you who you are as a male. The gender filter is a strong one. It defines you with other genders. You have camaraderie with your same gender because you’ve been told the same thing and you relax within it. Perhaps you are uncomfortable being with those around you that are not your gender. And if you are, your filter is on overdrive. It’s working the puzzle because you’re not that gender. It’s a strong one. What does it bring to the light, you might ask. What does your gender have to do with looking at pure, white light, which may be the Creative Source? How would you then interpret it differently as a man or a woman, and do you? And the answer is oh yeah, you really do! The male gender filter will be less receptive to that which is gentle compared to the female gender filter.

And the Creative Source of all things is the most gentle, benevolent, easy love. Easy meaning it flows, you don’t have to snatch it, you don’t have to ask for it, you don’t have to push, it flows into you if you let it.

Sometimes the male gender filter will say no. It’s got to be different before I am interested. The man you look at [Lee Carroll] was a tough nut to crack for he had the male filter that said I’m not crying on your terms. I will not weep. And we showed him how different he was. We showed him that weeping could be a joy of finding truth and when he realized that, everything his father told him about what happens when a man cries went out the window and he realigned his filter. But the gender filter was one of the most difficult with him.

Women, you have your own issues when it comes to gender filters and one of them, believe it or not, is that God is always or seems to be a male. That is a filter that you must get around. How do you feel when you go into an organized religious structure where there are all males and you confess your deepest thoughts to a male call father? That’s a filter. Would you say the same things in confession to a woman?

Better still, what if there was no intermedia at all and you were simply Page | 44

talking to spirit directly? The filter then is applied when you talk to a Human about God, but not when you talk to God about God. That’s a filter. That was number three.

Filter Four - Logic It’s hard to know which ones are the most profound depending upon who you are, how you were then raised, and what we would call your propensity for life. Here is one that you may or may not have, but all of you have one specific (but some strong and some weak) and that is called the logic filter. It must make sense for even those of you who would not consider yourself scientific or logical. It still must make sense for you to participate. There is logic in all decisions based on survival. There is logic in some decisions based upon the other filters.

The logic filter sits on top of them, weighing on all the ones beneath, and makes a decision of real or not real based upon the logic of the day. Your logic filter is limited. You can only judge logic by what logic you have seen to be logical. If you have never seen something, you cannot then judge whether it is logical or not for there has been no experience to put into the pile of computation, but it’s still a filter. It may be a struggling filter of logic, but it’s still there. The logic filter wants to weigh common sense to what you are presented in front of you. If someone tries to sell you something, for instance the Brooklyn Bridge, your logic filter will laugh in their face for you know better.

They don’t own it, and anyway you couldn’t afford it. That’s your logic filter. You dismiss it easily and then you move on your way. A man sits in the chair and channels; what does your logic filter do? Many will cast it out completely, automatically, as though I offered you the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s not possible, it’s not in the realm of do ability.

It’s a big one based upon your survival instincts. What do you do with your logic filter when I channel? It sits on top of all of them. It’s number four. How dark is that light getting that it’s the end of the filters? Now there are four stacked together and they modify one another and I’m not even done.

Filter Five - Professional Number five, not all of you have, but many of you do and professionals all do because it’s called the professional filter. What have you learned? What have you learned about the reality of physics, science, chemistry, mathematics, history, anthropology, biology? Are you a doctor, for instance, that is medical? Are you one who is steeped Page | 45

in legalities and knows how the world works and the rules thereof?

What is your profession that would become a filter that would get in the way of seeing the light of the Creator because everything you’ve learned has to be put aside for this to be real. The professional filter works very, very well with the first one called growing up. And the reason for that is that you do not want to be the fool. The fool does not survive. The fool gets chased down by those around him and cast out.

You don’t want to be a fool. The first filter of growing up and social behavior comes into play in the last filter of professionalism, for if you’ve learned things a certain way and you even think for a moment that all this is real, you flash back to what people will think of you in that filter, which is growing up. It’s there. It’s complex. If you’re a physicist and I tell you, “You are wrong,” your laws of the Universe are incomplete. There is something within you, even though you sit in this meeting right now, that twitches because we have just said you’re wrong and you spent all of your life trying your best to figure everything out. We don’t have the heart to tell you how wrong you are and only discovery will show that, and that’s going to be alright because Humans didn’t. You can have a discovery that’s going to put everything you learned on the table and start over and you’ll celebrate it, especially if you are part of the discovery team. That’s a filter you can rewrite yourself automatically. But when it comes to me rewriting it, that’s different. That’s a filter. Now you’ve got five.

Imagine looking at the bright light of the Creative Source with physics you don’t know anything about and spirituality you cannot comprehend with a depth and integrity and finesse that you cannot even conceive of with love for your soul. Put all five filters in front of you and you even wonder if there is a light at all. Am I getting through to you the difficulty that the Human Being has if they do nothing?

Why The Filters Are Strong And now I will tell you why they are important. Every single filter that you have, from growing up to being a professional learning science or whatever it is has been brought to you by a Human Being that you trust. Sometimes it’s a parent, a mother, a sister who teaches you the way of life. They’re your mentor, you’re mold, you’re model and you love them. And if along the way there is someone who tells you it is different than they said it was, it is an insult to the one you loved and probably don’t have around anymore. Do you understand the emotion Page | 46

of change? Your filter is cemented in place by love and admiration for those around you who taught you and gave it to you the best they could. What an oxymoron this is, that the filter cemented by the love of those around you who gave you what you had has to be put aside for the love of God. If you only knew that they were all tied together, that there was a confluence of a system of taking the filters out of the way just so you could see the light so perfectly and yet all of them work together. Would you do it? Some of you are doing it. May the listener understand this as it is given to you.

My partner had severe filters. As an engineer, he had learned things a certain way – professionally. And growing up, he gained a big filter of spirituality being raised in an organized religion. The walls had to be removed, and yet he was taught that by a loving source and he thought it was right. What do you do with a filter like that? How can you then take it aside, even for a moment? What do you do there? I want to tell you what he discovered and I want you to listen and some of you will understand it and get it and some of you won’t. It doesn’t matter what you were taught, dear one, it really doesn’t. The people who taught it to you, whether it was your parents or your friends or your teachers or your loved ones, many of them are gone now and I want you to know what they are doing. They are right here in this room looking at you, telling you there’s more than they knew. There’s more than they ever could know and they did their best, but listen because they want to give you new filters. The truth is as it is from the other side of the veil from those who have passed and gave you what you got. The confluence of energy that will make the filter transparent, even for a moment so that you can see the light and understand, is love. When my partner sat in the chair the first time, we said nothing. He didn’t hear voices. There was no channelling; he would have run the other way. We gave him love and he wept. It was the great equalizer.

The first filter of logic was dismissed completely and totally through love. Everything he thought was not possible by sitting in the chair and assuming that he could then connect to the other side of the veil was against everything he was taught in his religious box and it faded away in an instant when our arms went around him and he cried and it felt good even though he was surprised, shocked, even angered by something because he was out of control. He’s got another filter called control; that’s his, not yours. And he did it again. He sat in the chair Page | 47

again and again and again. He sits in it now and the same love he felt there he feels now. He’s not with you right now, he’s somewhere else listening. He’s in a place that we have described before that is so beautiful. He’s tethered so he cannot go to the light. That will give you an idea of where he is. That’s what we showed him when he sat in the chair – who he is, the light of God that’s inside him, and all of a sudden the filters started to be transparent and it didn’t matter what he was taught. He saw the big picture.

Human Beings need to have a timeframe where they can heal the filters, make them transparent, rearrange them, and rewrite them by constant repetition, perhaps like he did in the chair. It’s tough to take a filter called growing up and change it instantly to rewrite everything you’ve ever known. It doesn’t happen that way; it happens gradually.

Each one of you in the room and listening to this has their own filter set that will then be rewritten gradually if you choose. The filters are interactive; one affects the other and as soon as you are then able to rewrite one, for instance the logic one, the spiritual one, the others you start to understand better. Well, this can change if this changes, well maybe this wasn’t exactly right.

The Love Filter I want to tell you about the big filter, the one we have for you – the love filter. It starts to give you an impression of compassion when you start to understand that those who taught you what they know gave you the best they could and if you know something more than they did, it doesn’t make them wrong. In fact, they’re celebrating the fact that you figured it out, more than they did. Whether it’s a teacher in school that gave you science, which has been usurped by greater science, or whether it’s a pastor in a church who introduced the love of God to you, whether it was your mother or your father that told you the way things were and you learned differently. The overall filter of love gives you compassion for them. You don’t feel you’re insulting them to move ahead. It’s called wisdom. The filters will clear slowly by themselves. Sometimes they’ll clear more than other times. When you meditate or when you’re here perhaps in a group where others are working with you and I am here in this state, the filter will open up and you’ll have an aha that you might not get at home for a while. The more you work with these, the more you apply the common sense of God to them all, and the more you ask for clarity and discernment, Page | 48

and the clearer they become. And then when you are clear, you still have your personality, but it’s not the one when you were growing up.

It’s the one you chose now in wisdom.

The gender that you are, male or female, is not what you were told it should be, but it then takes on its own life what you chose, what a woman does or is like or a man is like who is in love with themselves.

It’s not what your parents told you or what Emily Post told you, but what you told you by connecting to the source of love. You’re creating a filter that is new on the planet. The compassionate Human, the new Human. That’s who you are. The spiritual filter is one you are opening and realizing and creating all by yourself, not from what you were told. You’re going to throw away everything that anyone ever told you and create your own by current spiritual feelings and events, by a new energy on the planet that was never there when you started.

Professional, no matter what you’ve learned, your wisdom says you don’t know what you don’t know. There are better ways of doing the things that you have learned in all sciences, even legal – better ways than you know that are coming that are going to make more sense to you personally, the country, the earth. Systems are coming. You’ll slap your head someday and say why didn’t we do this earlier, what were we thinking because you don’t know what you don’t know. The filter of intelligence is starting to move along with wisdom, all things that will embrace the light and not dim it.

Dear ones. we have used metaphors tonight, too many of them. We’ve given you things to think about. I’m asking you where you are in the filter scenario. What is it that you won’t let go of and why? Why are you hanging on to certain things when perhaps those who gave you those certain things are even here in an esoteric way looking at you and saying, “Listen, it’s okay.” The love of God is here. All that matters right now is your connection to Spirit. It’s going to give you the discernment you want. It’s going to give you longer life, a peaceful life, a self-balancing countenance. Puzzles will be solved.

I am Kryon, in love with humanity and now you know why.

Magnificent in all things.

"Improve Your Life By Removing The Clutter" By Rev. Colleen Irwin

One area where self-care has a major impact includes the environments where you spend time. Environmental self-care refers to indoor and outdoor locations, where you spend time. This may include at home, inside your car, at your workplace, and any area where you have some measure of control.

While clutter can include a plethora of physical objects, it’s important to understand that unhelpful, unhealthy, and inaccurate thoughts contribute to your mental clutter, such as intrusive thoughts.

Simplify Most people need far fewer things than they think they do. It’s so easy today to end up with too many things cluttering up our physical environment, which ironically adds mental pressure, which increases mental clutter with intrusive thoughts. If you have items that you’ve not used for a full year or more, do you really need them?

Put it On a Schedule Sometimes doing things that need to be done off schedule can add to your mental clutter. Add anything you want to accomplish to your schedule instead of relying on yourself to remember or avoid doing too much.

For example, your air conditioner filter needs to be cleaned according to the factory's directions. Put the dates in your schedule, so you know precisely when it needs to be done. Now it can be out of mind until it needs to be in your mind. Scheduling everything you really want to do, whether pleasure or work, is imperative to your success.

Get The Right Tools Getting rid of clutter sometimes requires that you invest in the right tools. For example, if you need a garden hose, it makes sense to buy the hose and the storage solution to enable you to use it and easily put it away.

This idea works for every physical thing you buy – if you can’t also buy a place to store it or the room to use it conveniently, do you really need it? Everything you purchase or use needs a specific area to live in and a time to use it.

Learn to Say No Sometimes people take saying no as a negative thing, but in truth, you can view it as finding a way to say yes to what you want and need with purpose rather than just learning to say no.

When someone wants your time, or you want to try something new for yourself, before you say yes or no, do your due diligence to find out if this will advance your overarching life goals or roadblock them before you jump in.

Slow Down and Be Mindful No one can really multitask effectively because it’s not a trait human beings possess. Yes, you can do some things simultaneously that don’t need your brain to do, like walking and talking or sleeping and breathing – but if you need to switch your attention, it’s not really multitasking, and it slows you down and increases mistakes.

When you want to do anything from bathing to bookkeeping, schedule the time to do it, invest in the right equipment to make it simple, and then do it on schedule while focusing only on that one task and not everything else.

Know What You Want Learning how to set goals is an important part of ending clutter in your life. Learning good goal-setting processes will exponentially improve your life, but setting good goals starts with knowing what you want to achieve. So please spend a few minutes focusing on what you want in life and check to make sure that your actions support what you want to achieve.

Investing in the right knowledge, skills, tools, and equipment enables you to keep your environment clutter-free and care for yourself. Ask yourself questions before you make new purchases or bring something into your environment. One of the first questions to ask yourself is how you will pay for the item. Other important questions include where will you use it most, where will you store it, what will you do with it, and when or how often will you use it? You probably don’t need the additional item if you’re unsure of the answers.

"Past Lives And The Ties That Bind..." By Stacey Duffy

Ok today's post -for the regulars- will make perfect sense. For those who are new to RoadtoSpirit, here's a crash course to get you up to speed.

I wrote in Horror movies Within that I often meet up with a huge black wolf in meditation. He has been with me over many lifetimes and brings me great solace. Oh, and sometimes he turns into man. As one does...

I have also mentioned in Let's Go, Go, Go, It's Time that I consulted with the wonderful, wise and inspiring Ingrid. During that consult we spoke a great deal about my past lives. The first one we went to was, my life as Native American. Now I know that it is considered trendy to have a Native American guide, or totem or something, but I really do.

I know it, without doubt and it has been confirmed on many occasions. The wolf, (when I try to figure out who how he fits in) always tells me that ''we are one.'' As Ingrid speaks, I slowly start to understand. Not only that life but pieces of this one too. He was extremely dear to me. He was also very highly ranked within the tribe.

I'm trying to sound smug, but he was ranked so highly that my demise Page | 54

came swiftly after his - to make a statement. Not a happy ending for either of us.

This information has led to a great deal of pondering, piecing together, and understanding. Even so, when I went into meditation the other night, the events that followed caught me by surprise.

alert...

After a bunch of rituals and mantras I found myself at the foot of a hill. The grass is long and soft beneath my feet. It feels silky. As I reach the top, I look out into the distance, but I can't see anything. I continue to walk down the other side of the hill and as the land plateaus I find that I am on stones. Smooth stones, but they are tedious and make the walk harder. Eventually the stones turn to pebbles and then tiny stones that give way beneath my weight. Finally I stop in a river, the water rushing past my ankles. It's cold. I know the wolf is here, but I can't see him. Walking further into the water he eventually emerges. He is in 'man form' and his black feathers break the surface before his face does. I catch myself thinking that it's a very dramatic entrance. Ha ha!

As he comes up, I tell him that I know how he fits in. He says ''yes, we are one.'' (How annoying) before I know it, I am shouting at him. ''It's all because of you! You just got in the way over all these lives! It's you, it's your fault!'' I am sobbing at this point heaving in sadness and relief because I finally understand. Both physically and in the meditation, I can't breathe under the weight of the sorrow. He tries to turn back into a wolf, and I scream "No, stay here! That is not helpful!'' (OMG, I'm so extra!!) It's because of you that I shield myself!

Hiding for aaalll this time! It's you.''

Now if you have ever had an argument with a man, you will know that there are few things more infuriating than one who looks at you with pity and says nothing. Just as I am about to explode, he says; ''yes, but it isn't me doing it to you, not anymore'' at this point I am confident that even men in from a past life say the wrong bloody thing. Heat in my chest, gasping for air between the sobs, anxiety, overwhelm and the added burden of him being right. All these lives later, it's me doing Page | 55

to me. Repeating a pattern I learnt so long ago. ***k!

Bawling uncontrollably, I look up at my main guides and say ''I can't''.

For the first time ever, Lilith and Ezekiel seem to agree with me, instead of looking down and waiting they grab me and take me up.

Eventually we stop somewhere in the cosmos and from my chest streams a grey river of dust or glitter or something like that. I can't stop it, suspended in the universe head back, chest out and hair blowing - it just flows out of me. I try to work out what it is. I perceive it to be pain. A great spiritual pain, a cosmic pain. Huge amounts of pain!

I suddenly come out and I am exhausted. Much later, after some thought and journaling, I realise that I was not releasing a cosmic pain, but rather a very old very real pain. A pain that I was running from and, in so doing, bound it to myself. I finally released an unconscious pattern. Wow. It's a good thing, but hells bells, it wasn't pleasant.

Spiritual people always talk about past lives and patterns etcetera, it doesn't have to be as much like a movie as mine was, but it's so healthy to look back and clear toxic habits or limiting beliefs. I am always astounded by the many different ways that I get in my own way and sabotage myself.

The point: You don't have to meditate and speak to wolf-men or explore past lives to do this. Whatever you believe, you owe it to yourself to dig deep and face this kind of shit. When you get to the other side it's worth it and you move a little lighter.

zen habits by Leo Babauta "Become Your New Habit"

Quitting an old habit or forming a new habit is fairly simple when it comes to the steps to doing it: find your trigger and do a new habit that trigger over and over. Remind yourself to do it. Make it rewarding.

The simplicity is deceptive, though: there are some physical urges and even more mental habits that keep us stuck in our old patterns.

The physical urges are not so hard: if you stay away from an old habit (like cigarettes) for a week, the urges die down. It’s the mental habits that trip us up. We have a way of seeing ourselves that includes our old habits (like smoking, eating a certain way, etc.) and so we form a bunch of mental habits that keep us stuck in that version of ourselves.

Here’s a method that will change everything for you: become your new habit.

Let’s take a concrete example: 1. You want to quit smoking (or quit scrolling on your phone, etc).

2. It’s hard because when you feel stress, you want to smoke. It’s your coping mechanism. This is how you see yourself.

3. Instead, you tell yourself: “I’m a person who meditates or goes for a walk when I’m stressed.” You visualize this new version of yourself, and how healthy and alive they’ll feel.

4. When you get stressed and have an urge to smoke, simply remind yourself of who you are now. You deal with stress by meditating or going for a walk.

5. Become that person by meditating and going for walks whenever you’re stressed. Your mental image of yourself will change, and smoking won’t even be an option.

This is how it worked for me with smoking — I stopped seeing myself as a smoker, and for the last 16 years I haven’t even considered smoking when I’ve gotten stressed.

The same thing happened when I went vegetarian and then vegan: the idea of eating meat or other animal products isn’t even appealing to me anymore, because it’s not who I am. I did this over and over: I see myself as someone who is active, who eats whole plant foods, who meditates, who is a loving father and husband, who creates meaningful things. Change your self-image. Obliterate your old ideas.

Become the new version of yourself.

Clinging to Old Mental Patterns The mental patterns that keep us stuck in old habits are tied to our old image of ourselves.

Some examples: • I’m stressed so it’s OK to smoke this one time, I’ll quit later.

• I have visitors so it’s OK to eat this junk, it’s a special occasion.

• • • •

This writing is not that important right now, I can do it tomorrow, I have urgent things to deal with.

This is all their fault, they are making my life frustrating.

I’ll meditate in a little while, I’m going to scroll on my phone for a bit first.

I haven’t done the habit in a few days, I don’t want to think about it right now.

Nothing is wrong with any of these mental patterns. But we can notice that they’ll keep us stuck in the old way of doing things.

If we want to let go of them, we can obliterate our old image of ourselves. And create a new one.

Create a New Version of Yourself If you believe you are someone who exercises every day, then being sedentary for days in a row is not really an option. You get up and move.

If you believe that you eat compassionately, then meat isn’t an option.

You eat plants.

If you believe that you are kind, then yelling at your kids isn’t an option. You give them love.

What’s the new version of yourself you’d like to become?

Visualize that new version of you. Feel what it would feel like. It’s an act of creativity, an act of imagination.

Create that new version of yourself. How do they feel, how do they act, what do they do when they are stressed, how do they react to difficult situations?

Now become that person. Become the new being you conjured up.

MBOs FOR HOLIDAY IN INDIA Siddharth in India writes: Wanted to send you this MBO story.

My family and I had gone to the airport, this last Saturday, to board a flight for our week long holiday. We got our bag tags to deposit the bags. I said an MBO for quick completion of the process. To my great surprise – people in front of us asked us to come forward (for some reason they had to delay their process) and I found us to be directly at the counter. Huge time was saved, and our entire process of baggage deposited happened in 1/5th of the usual time taken.

MBO FOR COOLER WEATHER Joanne writes: Here’s an MBO for comfortable weather, Tom. My sisters and I planned a celebration of life for our mom, Helen, on Saturday, May 21, from 12 noon to 4 PM. MBO TO FIND LOST BRACELET Pam in Houston writes: I wanted to share an MBO. I had purchased a necklace, earrings, and bracelet that were a set, and I just loved them.

I had worn them and, one day, I wanted to just wear the bracelet and could not find it. Mind you, I am pretty organized, especially with my jewelry, and always put my jewelry up every evening. So, it was just baffling and irritating to me that the bracelet was missing!

Then, I relaxed a bit, and said an MBO that I would find this bracelet, but still could not find it before I left for work. I said it again, when I returned home, I also said if it’s gone to a parallel universe, please put it back!!

The next morning, the bracelet was still on my mind, so I said an MBO again to lead me to it. Then I went to the kitchen to make coffee. I always use bottled water that I keep under the sink. I opened the cabinet door, and there was my bracelet way in the back on the right – but it was like it grabbed my attention, because normally I just grab the water and close the door! I was sooo happy! I said, “Oh you guys, are the best! Thank you!” I have no idea how in the world my bracelet landed there except it must have fallen off my wrist when I got a roll of parchment paper nearby the other night. I felt like my guides made sure I saw it when I opened the cabinet door because as you can see the water bottle is way to the left and in front.

"Eden Energy Medicine Tip Crossovers For Better Health!"

Do you frequently have brain fog, feel unbalanced or uncoordinated?

Do you feel depressed? Do you suffer from chronic fatigue or other physical, mental or spiritual conditions which resist healing? Do you feel wiped out after walking or exercising? If you answered yes, then your energies may not be crossing over and may be preventing you from healing and feeling your best!

Energy is meant to crossover from the right side of the brain to the left side of the body, as well as from the left side of the brain to the right side of the body. These crossover patterns resemble figure 8’s, and occur repeatedly throughout the body, down to the spiraling double helix of our DNA. Crossovers are found everywhere, on every level of our being, even into our auric field - our body’s wisdom and need for crossovers is infinite!

According to Donna Eden, who can literally see the body’s energy systems, when your energies are NOT crossing over they appear to be moving in parallel lines. This pattern is referred to as homolateral (on the same side). If you are homolateral your energy systems and physical processes are operating at less than 50% efficiency. This makes it nearly impossible for your body’s inner healer to do its job.

It’s also unlikely that any traditional or alternative healing methods you might be using will hold long term. If you are homolateral you Page | 67

may lack energy and clarity, your senses may become dull and you may simply feel less alive. In Eden Energy Medicine, deep homolateral energy patterns are often found in those who suffer from chronic illness and depression.

Fortunately there are simple things you can do every day to encourage healthy energy crossovers…and everyone, whether homolateral or not, can benefit from them! Try some of these simple Eden Energy exercises today…to increase your energy level, heal easier and quicker, improve balance and coordination, optimize brain function and improve performance of your entire body and mind!

I’ve included several different options below, and they can all be adapted to your needs. They can be done standing, seated or even laying down. Believe it or not, even the slightest intention or visualization of these movements can help. You also can help someone who is disabled by lifting their arms and legs for them.

However you do them, consistent use is key, and will undoubtedly help you feel better, as your energy systems relearn how to crossover naturally.

Tracing figure 8’s around eyes (while breathing deeply) This exercise is very simple and anyone can do it anytime, anywhere!

• Trace slow, firm figure 8’s in any and all directions around the eyes, using the bridge of the nose as the central point. (30 seconds, as often as you like) • OR - you can take it one step further and trace the shape of a Lotus Blossom around your eyes - See the diagram at the right.

Also beneficial: To further encourage crossovers, trace figure 8’s of any size, anywhere across your body or in the auric field. Integrate figure 8’s into your daily exercises or chores…or make it a fun dance!

You can also draw figure 8’s on paper or a white board at school or surround yourself at home with décor made of figure 8 shapes, instead of parallel lines.

Shoulder Pull and Cross Crawl (sitting, standing or laying down, while breathing deeply) These 2 exercises are usually done together and are very beneficial for anyone to do daily!

• Very firmly drag your fingers from your right shoulder to your left hip (or to left foot) and then drag fingers from left shoulder to right hip (or to right foot).

(4-6 times, once or twice daily) • March in place, crossing the right hand to meet the left knee (or as close as you can on the leg) then the left hand to meet the right knee.

(30 seconds or so, once or twice daily) Note: If you can, let the arm crossing over pass over your third eye (in the middle of your forehead) as it moves to meet the knee on your opposite side.

Also beneficial: To further encourage crossovers, anytime you walk, run or dance…cross your arms onto the opposite legs.

Homolateral Repatterning March (sitting, standing or laying down, while breathing deeply) If you felt uncoordinated doing the Cross Crawl or have any chronic illness, it is likely that your energies are NOT crossing over and are homolateral. If so, do this repatterning march instead of the Cross Crawl. It is a little more involved, but extremely beneficial when used several times daily.

March in place in the following 2 ways (3-4 times a day, while breathing deeply) 1. 12 homolateral marches (same side) Lift right leg with right arm and then left leg with left arm.

2. 12 crossover marches (opposite side) Lift right leg to meet left hand and then left leg to meet right hand.

Do 3 sets of both marches above and end with another 12 crossover marches (opposite side).

When doing any Eden Energy exercises remember to stay hydrated to keep the energies flowing smoothly. If you like these exercises, you can take it one step further and incorporate them into Donna Eden’s Daily Energy Routine, which only takes about 10-15 minutes a day. I don’t go a day without doing it and with consistent use most people feel much better overall.

“Imperfect Instrument, Perfect Message” By Barry & Joyce Vissell

I’ve been thinking about our free weekly videos that come out every Sunday morning. Starting during Covid, because all our workshops and retreats were cancelled, Joyce and I wanted to stay connected with people. There are now over a hundred of these little videos on YouTube (search “Joyce and Barry Vissell”). When we resumed our retreats, we thought about stopping, or cutting down to every other week or once a month, but folks begged us to continue. Many have said these Sunday mornings with us are a highlight of their week.

In these videos, Joyce loves to tell a little story to illustrate a spiritual principle. I usually say a few things, but I mostly love to share one of my songs, accompanying myself on my harmonium, followed by a short prayer or meditation.

I realize that speaking comes easy to me, but singing is one of my greatest vulnerabilities. Sometimes I feel more naked while singing than if I had no clothes on. Especially when I sing a song that I have written. Then I’m doubly naked and fully exposed, both in the song I have created and in the delivery. It’s also vulnerable for both of us to speak to a camera on a tripod, rather than live people in our room.

We take some minutes before starting the video to visualize as many of you as possible, both those we have met and those we haven’t yet met in this life.

I know my singing voice is not technically the best. Of all the positive and wonderful comments about my singing and songs, there has only been one that has been critical. The writer told me I needed singing lessons. Nothing positive, just singing lessons! Of course, he was right in one way. Lessons could possibly improve my technique. But do I really want to improve my technique? Or do I want to simply, and perhaps even crudely, sing directly from my heart to the Divine Beloved, and lose myself in the music?

I hope before I sing that whoever watches these videos sings along with me, so it’s not just me singing and the audience watching and listening. But my greatest hope is to let Spirit come through my voice.

That can be a tall order and a cause for real vulnerability. All of the 37 songs that I have written so far are either directly to God or to the divine coming through my beloved Joyce. Either way, they are all love songs.

The Sufis say, “Ishq Allah, Mabud Li’Allah.” It means that God, Spirit, Source is the highest love, invisible to the eyes, the energy filling everything. That is Ishq. But God is also the beloved, Mabud, that which we can see and touch, God made visible.

I have been re-reading one of our favorite books, The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. In this book, Yogananda tells stories about Babaji, one of India’s greatest saints. Babaji is a very common name in India. Even someone’s grandpa might be called Babaji. But this particular Babaji is unique. He was a fully enlightened being who had no need to be born into a body on earth. The work he was doing as a divine being could just as easily be done in the heavenly realms. But he chose to also be a “mabud,” a beloved, in a body on earth, seen, heard, and felt by other people. He has been in the same youthful body for centuries, usually described as having copper-colored hair. He chooses not to make a big splash or attract multitudes of followers, but people have described immense blessings and healings by being in his presence.

Then there’s me. I’m far from the self-realization of Babaji. But I long for the merging of Ishq and Mabud, divine love coming through my human form. I want so much to allow God to come through my voice.

I realize it’s not an all-or-none kind of thing. There are ordinary Page | 78

moments when, to my ears, it’s just my imperfect vocal instrument.

But then there are moments, maybe it’s the words I’m singing, or the sound of a chord change on my harmonium, that lift me to a higher place and carry the presence of a higher power and love. I believe it is these moments that make the song or chant, and deliver a divine message, a perfect message coming through an imperfect instrument.

My greatest prayer is to be an instrument of peace and love.

"Receive Guidance When In Distress" By Patti Fields

The human experience can be overwhelming and engaging. You are learning how to engage with the world and still maintain a connection with us. In the depths of despair and in the moments of wonder and excitement, your connection with us remains constant. There is no severing or disruption of the connection.

I am given an image. I see myself trudging through mud and debris.

Above my head is a rope that hangs down from the sky. As I walk, the rope moves along with me. My eyes are focused downward, so I do not notice the rope.

When you focus on the mud and debris it can feel as if you are disconnected because it weighs you down. Yet, your connection remains secure. We do not move up ahead waiting for you to catch up.

We maintain clear vision and pure awareness while moving along with you as you move along the timeline.

The amount of difficult emotions, confusion, and mental anguish you experience does not alter the strength or power of our connection.

You may experience disconnection as you trudge through the experience and clear away the debris that clings to you. But the disconnect is not disconnection. It is you focusing intently on your human experience and becoming less aware of our connection.

Communication is instantly reestablished the moment you turn your attention upward. Consider connection to your true self, wisdom, and peace in terms of awareness and it will make sense how you can be consumed with earthly problems and concerns and still be connected to the heavenly realm.

What diverts your attention from one reality to another? It is simply your decision to do so. You do not abandon your responsibilities to yourself or your loved ones when making a decision to turn your attention away from the problem and look upward. You are still intimately connected to your earthly concerns when you look elsewhere for wisdom and peace.

We address earthly and spiritual concerns equally because we see it all as one. Blending the two worlds is our way of helping you transcend the delusion of two worlds and see only the one that God created. Our advice uses the symbols of the world of duality because these are the symbols you understand. Do not negate our teachings because they utilize the language of humans. Contained within each symbol is the love and unity of the Spirit. That is why you can trust the symbols to lead you to the awareness of what is true and real.

To help you release your judgments and expectations of what is appropriate and continue to seek our guidance, imagine putting your burdens down for just a moment. "Supporting A Dear Animal Companion At The End Of His Life"

Our cat Roo was chosen by our daughter when she was a child. She named him after the baby kangaroo in the Winnie-the-Pooh stories.

After she grew up, went away to college, and later moved to New York City, Roo started becoming closer to me. He is eighteen years old now, an honorable age for a cat. Over the years he has used up more than a few of his lives, having disappeared on multiple occasions. Once he was even accidentally locked in our neighbor’s garage for three days.

Roo is the last man standing of the four pets who once lived with us.

He has been my companion for years, especially after our kids left home. He comforted me through my grief when my father died unexpectedly, when the other three animals left us over the years, after the death of my best friend, and more recently when my brother passed. He is my confidante and a big conversationalist. When any of us talk to him, he always responds in different tones of meowing.

Visitors who come to our house laugh at this in amazement.

At the end of last year, he started coming to me less often to be held.

My intuition told me he was teaching me to live without him, although of course I hoped this wasn’t true. A few weeks later, we noticed that Roo wasn’t eating as much as usual and had started to lose weight. I went on a frantic search for foods he would eat, trying many. Some worked for a while, but after a week or so he would have problems with his digestion and stop eating it.

Then six weeks ago, he suddenly became lethargic, spent most of his days sleeping, and wasn’t audibly purring or meowing any longer. We took him to see a vet who ran tests and found no organ deterioration like he had expected. The vet hinted at the big “C”, but we decided not to do more invasive tests, because no matter the diagnosis, at his age surgery was not something we would put him through.

I am a Reiki practitioner and a writer, and Roo has been involved in both of these activities. When I first learned Reiki, he was the first one I practiced with. For years he has loved receiving Reiki, even crying incessantly if bedtime came and he hadn’t gotten his energy session. We shared Reiki together almost every evening, he lying over my heart, his head tucked under my chin, his paw in my hand. His purring vibration has always felt like Reiki to me.

As time went by, it seemed he was giving Reiki, too. He began participating in both distant and in-person Reiki sessions and sometimes in Reiki shares hosted in our home. He became known in our Reiki community as Reiki Roo and some Reiki share participants would ask for the table with the cat. While I wrote or took writing class by Zoom, he sat on my lap or on my desk, often right on top of my papers. Sometimes I even needed to mute my audio because of his meowing.

He is a huge part of my life, and although I knew on some level that at eighteen he might not live much longer, on an “anything is possible” level and because he had received Reiki daily for years and had never been ill, a part of me expected him to live much longer. So, when he got sick and his behavior changed suddenly to him needing space and solitude, my arms ached from missing him. One evening I cried so hard I could barely breathe. It seemed like he was entering into the Page | 87

final stages before death. And he stayed this way for days. As he continued to go downhill, I was heartbroken.

At that time, for about a week he had not been interested in receiving Reiki from me. Of course, I respected his wishes. Then, I reaffirmed my intention for Reiki to help him with whatever he needed for his journey, whether that was physically healing or for a peaceful transition, and only if he wanted to receive it. I put a comforter and pillow down on the floor near the spot he had chosen to spend his days and nights, and with my hands at a slight distance from his body, started sending him Reiki with this conscious intention.

I felt he was open to Reiki then, as I heard him purring slightly. Since he seemed to like this more focused intention, I also called on some of my friends and students to send Reiki to us both, affirming the same intention for Roo and asking for emotional healing for me. I was giving myself a lot of Reiki, as well, and having long conversations with my son about the possibility of Roo dying soon and how we could support him on this journey.

The morning after Roo received Reiki from multiple practitioners, I awoke to Roo’s meows in the kitchen requesting food from my husband. At first, I thought I was dreaming, because when we had said our goodnights to Roo the evening before, we had felt he might have been ready to pass. The shift was palatable; it seemed he had decided to stick around a little longer. I felt Roo had chosen to make his leaving a slower progression for me, since our last three animals, one of them his sister, transitioned suddenly. Because I believed this was a decision Roo had made, we agreed to try the medication the vet had told us might help him eat more to gain back the strength he had lost.

When I went to pick up that medication, I had an unforeseen conversation with one of the vet technicians. I mentioned to her that when the time came, we hoped to give Roo a peaceful death at home. I was not prepared for her strong, emotional reaction to my comment as she got teary-eyed and proceeded to tell me this was not a humane way to let an animal die. Her response to my comment was totally unexpected and confused me.

So, I reached out to friends who had animals to see what they had experienced at the end of their pets’ lives. These conversations made me realize euthanasia for animals at end-of-life has become the norm, not only in the U.S. but in many other countries, though some of my friends were also starting to question this custom. Coincidentally, although I do not believe it was coincidental, a friend told me about an animal communicator/pet death doula who lives in Switzerland and was teaching a Zoom class which presented alternative ways to support your animal companion through the end of their life.

During this time, Roo slowly started getting stronger. Over the next six weeks as I took the course called Walk Your Pet Home (www.moniquebrignoni.com) I learned so much, and I started noticing some interesting changes with Roo, mystical experiences that Monique told us can often occur when you are lovingly focused on with your pet and supporting them at the end of their life.

First of all, the shift that occurred the morning after he received Reiki with a clearer intention was nothing less than a miracle. I am still amazed about how quickly his health turned around. Since then, I have given him a little Reiki each day, either in-person if he wants that, or distantly, asking for his highest good. Immediately after receiving Reiki that day from my friends, I recognized a shift in my own emotional wellbeing. The unrelenting sadness was replaced by softer feelings—an appreciation for the wonderful life we have spent together and a new confidence that I was strong enough to handle whatever his care necessitated.

In the days when he was only getting up to use his cat box and eat occasional nibbles of food, I took his collar off, so it didn’t weigh him down; he was so thin and frail. While holding it, I walked by a small altar I have created with a sculpture of Kuan Yin made by a local artist. In front of Kuan Yin, I have some crystals, a photo of my family, and another one of my great grandmother and grandmother.

On a whim, I placed Roo’s collar around the stones on the altar. This was also the day before he got up, became more alert, and wanted food.

Then, he began going outside with us to the patio. The first time, he jumped up on the patio wall (I was surprised he had the strength) and went to drink from the bottom of a garden statue of St. Francis; it had a little water in the bottom after watering the plants. From then on, he started making pilgrimages three, four, five times a day to drink water from the statue, and I made sure it always had enough water for him—St. Francis of Assisi—patron saint and lover of animals.

In previous months, I had been researching Earthing, also called grounding, and how we can heal from a connection to the Earth. I was writing an article about this topic that was later published in magazines focusing on healing in South Africa and the U.S. In the course of doing that research, our family bought some Earthing products to try—a grounding pad for under my desk, a mattress pad for our son to try on his bed, and a chair pad for my husband to use in the chair where he watches TV. The spot Roo chose to lay the week he was sick was with his body touching the cable from the chair pad, the one connected to a grounding port on the electrical outlet nearest the chair. A few times Roo even got up and laid down directly on the pad. When I was home working, I left the patio doors open, and I often found him curled up sweetly on the ground between the plants and flowers. I am confident from my own experiences that the earth was helping him to heal.

After the morning we first saw the shift in Roo’s health, little by little he began changing the place where he spent his days sleeping. Every few days he chose a new spot, moving from the back room at the end of our house to a new place closer to the living areas where our family spent time together. It was a continuous progression over a week or two, foot by foot, across the room, down the hallway, then finally into the living room, like he was returning to us in small steps.

Of course, it was quite a synchronicity that I found Monique and her course the exact week when I was looking for support in my belief that it might be possible for a beloved animal companion to have a natural, peaceful death at home without medical intervention because a terminal diagnosis had been received, or it appeared a pet might be dying of old age. It was comforting to find people from all over the world–ours was an international class–who believed what I was Page | 90

coming to believe. I loved that Monique taught what she calls a middle way, where you use your intuition to decide if or when euthanasia is necessary. She talked to us about taking time, not rushing to make a decision; asking detailed questions of your vet; even asking our pets if they are ready to transition and their preferences for transitioning, then listening intuitively for the answers.

The last thing I believe was helping Roo to heal are two special habits he has come to share each morning with my husband. One is a catstyle deep tissue massage. For Roo, the stronger the massage the better, which makes us all laugh. The other is a type of EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique, also called tapping. Truly, Roo could be a poster pet for tapping; possibly create a new trend in animal care. While my husband drinks his morning coffee, Roo comes to him so he can receive taps up and down his spine and on each side of his body over his organs. He purrs loudly while receiving his morning massage and tapping sessions.

Although Roo seems as strong now as he was before he got sick, not all of his prior behaviors have returned. He still does not like to be picked up or to be cuddled much, and he does not search us out to be held like before. I learned from Monique that this is often the case when an animal is in the latter part of their life. We are learning to adapt to his needs just like he adapted to our lives for so many years.

But then, recently Roo slowly started returning to some of the things he used to do with us in the past. A few days ago, without me calling to him, he joined me in the chair where I do distant Reiki sessions. My daughter had texted me from where she lives in New York City requesting a session because she wasn’t feeling well, and he came to share that with me. He only stayed for five minutes or so, but oh, to feel his purring vibration again while we practiced Reiki together was heaven.

Last night he even joined me for the last recording of Walk Your Pet Home. He spent an hour on my lap and lying on my desk, much more time than he has wanted to be close since this all began. It is almost like he is coming out of a delayed amnesia. I have not seen Roo groom much in past weeks, but while he was with me that evening, he licked Page | 91

my hand caressingly over and over. It felt like a blessing, such a deep love as he looked into my eyes.

I am grateful for every day with Roo, my dear animal companion. I continue to give him Reiki each day and so do a few of my friends; I feel this is supporting him on his path. This journey, even though it has been difficult and emotional, has also been magical, mystical, and miraculous. Little did I imagine, while I was struggling to accept his approaching death and learning ways to best support him on that journey, that he would start to recover, and I would have this extra time with him. I never expected to be able to cuddle with him on the couch again like I had for years and years, but we have.

I have always felt Roo was my teacher, even more so now. I don’t know if we have weeks or years left to spend together, but I believe as the Buddhists teach that it is my honor to care for him tenderly at the end of his life, just as he has always given so much of himself unconditionally to me.

“Just Some Thoughts" By Sage Walker

Today was one of those days, a health issue, laptop won't work, Facebook hacked, not able to access some accounts on my desktop. I asked myself what can I do? I started to write this article and started thinking about the statement I read which was I AM ENOUGH. It reminded me that I can do what I need to do. I can keep my thoughts positive and recognize it all works out.

Also when I go with the flow and remind myself I can do some things and I will need help with other (such as the computer). I take one problem at a time and do what I can. As I am doing that I remind myself that I am a spiritual being of light and love and therefore am responsible to work at a high vibration.

Each of the issues are not life-threatening so I am well. I have to laugh a little at the computer because I swear it likes to mess with me so I laugh. The Facebook hacker I send light to the part of him that knows right from wrong. I feel a little sad for them as their lives must not be full and happy.

So as I reflect on the day I choose to be positive and take one step at a time. On days like this, I always end with something I like reminding me life is always good and my choice is to enjoy it.

We must always choose our thoughts and feelings because dwelling on the issues increases negativity. The world has enough negativity and certainly does not need more and I am always responsible for Page | 97

what I add to it.

To end my day I will also have some ice cream which makes me happy.

Channeling

Channeling is a natural form of communication between humans and ascended masters, angelic beings, nature spirits, or non-physical entities.

A channeler is very similar to a language translator or interpreter. They allow themselves to sense the non-verbal communication from another being and then translate it into human words.

Channeling is often defined as the act of allowing a spiritual entity (e.g., angel, archangel, ascended master, guide, deceased loved one) to merge, join, or enter your body and use your vocal cords to communicate directly with those on the Earth plane or provide knowledge and the channeler can write down the shared information. For some people who channel, the entity will also move the channeler’s body (e.g., open your eyes, move your arms/legs, have you walk around).

Channeling can be done in two different ways: Conscious channeling is done while being fully aware of what is happening, including being able to stop the experience at any time. The channeler can remember what was said to varying degrees. Often conscious channels will say that they hear themselves speaking as if they were at a distance . . . as if they were listening from another room. When told about what was said, they often feel as if they are remembering a dream. There are many people currently alive on the Earth plane who consciously channel. For example, Esther Hicks brings through the group of entities that refer to themselves as Abraham (no relation to the Old Testament). They speak about the Law of Attraction.

Trance channeling is channeling done while in a deep trance state.

Arguably one of the most famous trance channelers was Edgar Cayce. He was referred to as “The Sleeping Prophet” because he only channeled when he was in a deep trance state. This meant that he lost all muscle tone and had to be lying down. He was also unable to remember what he said, which meant that his secretary had to be present to take dictation and then transcribe the notes from the channeling session.

"The Consciousness of Earth" By Pamela Kribbe

Dear people, I greet you heartily. I am your mother, the Earth, and I celebrate your presence here with me.

I encompass you all. Feel my presence as a consciousness that permeates all that lives on Earth. That consciousness is in you and in all that is around you: the minerals, the plants, the animals. I am in everything that lives. All that has taken material form is quickened and enlivened by consciousness from within, and I live in that consciousness and support it.

I am that constant, grounding presence which underlies all things and which allows the soul consciousness in each mineral, plant, animal, and human to develop. I am the mother who gives life to each and every form of consciousness. In the end, everything, each material particle or form, is kept alive by consciousness. And in my essence, I am also that consciousness. What can be perceived is matter, the material form, but it is the consciousness that underlies matter which is the essence of all forms.

About this consciousness which I am, I want to tell you something more. I am a female consciousness. I am fluid and flowing, and I know no limitations. And since I am the soul behind all life on Earth, Page | 102

there is a stream of unity that runs through everything – and I am it.

Opposite to that unity is every unique individual soul. And because you are a unique individual, there is a dance between us, as between all individuals and the one current that I am. But that dance only works, is only creative and productive, if individual souls are aware of their connection with me. It is as with a great river: you can only relax and flow with it if you know you are part of that river, if you can feel that current and trust it.

But most people in your society are at odds with the flow of life that I am. They do not trust this current: they resist it, try to climb out of it, hang on to the river banks, because they feel that this current is turbulent and uncontrollable. This current is, in fact, the flow of your earthly nature: your feelings, your instincts, your passion, and people have not been taught to trust their nature. There is a great mistrust arising in people of their earthly nature, as well as a suspicion of the flowing life current of the Earth, in general.

The result of this mistrust is that the fundamental layer that I am, and that I might become for humanity, is not explored, or is not sufficiently explored. It is as if I am waiting to enter into a dance with you, but humans, in general, have turned away from me by trying to create their life independent of me. Above all, they want to be the master of life by using the mental energy of their head instead of moving along with that current of life which is natural and easy and fluid – if you do not resist it.

But because people collectively, and on a large scale, have turned their backs on the living flow that permeates everything, things are not going well on Earth. A gap has developed between humans and nature that has caused the destruction of large parts of nature in the plant and animal kingdoms. In addition, there is the devastation to the inner world of people themselves: they become depressed and unsettled if they can no longer find their own connection to the power of the Earth.

So why do I say this to you? Because you who are here are aware of the importance of the relationship with the Earth, and you also understand that I have consciousness, that I am not just dead matter.

Only when people get in touch with me, and their own energy begins Page | 103

to flow from within – their creativity, their self-confidence, their surrender to life – can I then fulfill my task. Only then can I nourish and support you so that the dance between humans and Earth can finally take place and take form: a creative dance from which all life benefits, myself included.

You are essentially channels that help shape a new energy, a new unity between humans and Earth, a new consciousness. I want you to be aware of your own qualities as they relate to this process. But sometimes you doubt yourself very much, and that partially blocks the channel even if you are actually already quite advanced in this process. However, you are not required to be perfect. You are not required to have all your problems solved in order to get in touch with me and to contribute something to the greater picture at a universal level, and not only at the level of the individual.

I ask you to now connect consciously to my heart. Imagine that under your feet you have roots that penetrate deep into my core, into my heart. Feel how you are supported by me and how I encourage you to surrender to this life and to trust me. Life in the human world, in society with all its rules and standards, and with the many fears that have been imprinted upon you as a child, that societal life has aroused fear in you and made a certain gap between your head and life itself.

It is difficult for you to surrender to your heart, your feelings, your intuition. But it is possible, and as soon as you consciously connect with me, can I then help you; can you then feel how my energy flows through your legs from the roots under your feet.

Imagine that you are floating on your back on a big wide river and that you allow yourself to drift and you feel calm. It is safe, although you do not see where you are going. Imagine this in a very real way.

You are adrift on that great river, and you look at the sky and feel and hear the sounds of nature around you. Feel how I carry you, and simply let go of the thoughts in your head.

Descend into your abdomen. In your gut lives an instinctual sense of what is true. It is from your gut that you can instantly know or feel something even before you have given it thought. That is the level you are looking for and it is that which makes you free: feeling without Page | 104

thinking. Connect silently with that place in your abdomen. Breathe into it and feel how the channel that you are, opens.

With purity, with stillness and silence, feel what your contribution is on Earth, what you have to give to humanity and to nature. Feel the energy of your unique gifts and trust that energy, and trust the feeling that comes with it. You came here to bring a flow that connects your unique soul with that of the Earth, with me, and it is in that still connecting point where our destinies meet and where we work together. I will receive your soulfulness and inspiration, and you in turn will receive my support and nourishment and my grounding in strength and security. This is what I want to be for you.

Dear Ones, Even though you are likely frightened or angry by recent global events, those events are starting points for your emotional health.

In your outer-directed past, you expected someone to make your life better – the government, your company, friends, or relatives. And if you were among those without similar support systems you often elected to believe that God/the Universes would perform those functions. Relief was expected from someone outside yourself.

That last statement is not to deny those who have tenaciously moved through personal trauma, but instead to point out that such outerdirected beings were in the minority. In the outer-directed world, the concept of being dependent on your own resources seemed impossible.

Now that those of you reading this message are new inner-directed beings, you sometimes find it difficult to understand you are responsible for your earth life. Even though others may save you for various reasons, that will not help you adjust to your new innerdirected world. You are alone – and thankfully so.

When you depended on others, you needed to perform certain activities to assure their support. Those activities might have been as benign as friendship, as unpleasant as a job you despised, or as seemingly neutral as supporting a political party that performed some Page | 109

of your desired actions but never all.

Your outer-directed world was one of bargaining for what you needed. Giving something to receive something. Now that bargaining no longer exists because most beings are inner-directed, you are at a loss. Can you function in this new world?

We, of the Universes, return you to the most basic message of your new world. What does your heart tell you to do? Do you wish to protest, vote, plead, become angry, leave, shout, allow, accept, or ignore? That is your answer and activity. An answer or activity that might change minute by minute.

You are no longer bound to anyone or anything. What makes you feel complete, satisfied, or happy? Those are your answers. Anger, fear, or angst might be a starting point because you could feel helpless now that those you once depended upon to “make it all better” are no longer effective in providing the right actions for you. But after your outer-directed fear and anger subside, what does your new innerdirected message encourage you to do? That is new you.

Your outer-directed dependency on others is who you were.

Allow yourself to calmly listen to your inner voice. A voice that might be difficult to hear at first, for you are not used to following yourself instead of others. Initially, your outer-directed voice of reason will likely drown out your inner voice. But that will create a sense of loss, distrust, and fear because the old ways no longer work. Allow that to be for as you do; your inner voice will become louder.

Your inner voice has always been with you; you merely stopped listening. Why do you suppose you liked wearing certain colors? Or you attended events that gave you great joy even though you surprised yourself with your participation? And so it was throughout each of your earth lives. Tiny elements of your inner voice directing you to a more joyful life whenever you allowed yourself to listen. Your inner voice was not necessarily reasonable or logical, but more like fairy dust scattering bits of joy here and there.

You are the only being who can make your life better or best. Stop waiting for someone of the earth or the Universes to tell you what to do or to do it for you. You are an independent being functioning as is best for you.

Despite your fears when reading that last line, you will not live your life selfishly. For your inner voice is the voice of love. An outerdirected voice bargains and barters, hoping those you bargain with will do as you wish, but never with a guarantee that they care as much for an action, activity, or philosophy as you.

Your inner voice is a trustworthy ally of love. Logic is a bargaining philosophy that may or may not include love, but most definitely includes others. Logic is a + b = c. Your inner voice is love as well as your role in this new world. A role that is not necessarily logical, but a role that only you can complete.

This is where you jump off the cliff into the unknown. Not in fear – even though that is what you will likely feel initially, but in the joy that you can fly. So be it. Amen.

"The Vibrations of Love Overcome All Negativity"

Beloved masters: Unfortunately, many Souls have become what could be termed spiritually bankrupt. For they have either used up their allotment of Adamantine Particles of Love / Light and are now so steeped in the lower frequencies of the Third / Fourth-Dimensional world so they can no longer tap into the cosmic river of life and draw forth the full-spectrum Light of the Creator. Or, since early childhood, they have not been able to attain the required level of harmonious frequency patterns to ignite their allotment of Adamantine Particles stored within their Sacred Heart.

Also, sadly, many dear Souls take with them into death the greater portion of their allotment of Creator Light. These are the tormented Souls who feel unloved and have led a life of suffering and often isolation or violence, created by a sense of hopelessness, feelings of self-hatred and inferiority. They often focus their hatred and frustration outwardly, blaming others and fate for their failures, Page | 113

while all the time being unaware that they are the source of their own pain and suffering.

Many of these precious ones chose to come forth on what could be called the lower spectrum of Shadow and Light. At a Soul level, they chose the overlay for the life’s drama they would experience because they wished to overcome certain imbalanced frequency patterns from the past.

However, it is important that you understand that many times the path they chose was, most likely, too much of a challenge, and so they fell back into the negative patterns of many fruitless lifetimes. Those who have the least freedom of choice are driven by obsession, addictions, and unconscious impulses. They are controlled by past negative influences that are very difficult to overcome and correct.

Remember, dear hearts, you are not judged by anyone but your Higher-self, and you will always be given an opportunity to overcome past transgressions. Self-forgiveness is the first step in healing the past and reconnecting to the power within. It may seem heartless and uncaring, but a Self-master will gradually end relationships with people who they no longer have a harmonious relationship. There should be no judgment, just a gradual letting go and withdrawal or severance of any energy cords of attachment. It is usually the other person who ends the relationship, for they can no longer receive the emotional energy support they require from the en-Lighten-ed person.

Beloveds, it is your Divine Mission to become a tributary of the River of Life, a channel for the Divine force of Creation. Stagnation begins immediately when you stop the flow of Adamantine Particles into your Sacred Heart. As you become a Sentinel of Light, your aura will glow and grow as you become illumined by the radiance of Spirit.

You, your home, your neighborhood, city, state, province, and country all have an auric field, whether it is bright or dim. The heart and Soul of each country must be revived. When unity consciousness is lost, the spiritual life force of a country begins to wane. Remember, everything that exists has an aura. The divinity and awesome power of Page | 114

Thoughts, words, and emotions have either a helpful or detrimental effect on the physical vessel, and also create a certain band of frequencies within your auric field and beyond. Thereby, your reality on the physical plane is created. The laws of the universe state that you must always experience that which you create. Nothing can escape the radiation and magnetic influence of the rarified Creator Light / Adamantine Particles now permeating this Sub-universe, galaxy, solar system, the Earth, and humanity. The chakras are like electromagnetic batteries within the body. The vibrations of electromagnetic frequencies communicate to your many levels of consciousness. You must be harmonious with and attuned to the higher-vibrational cosmic teachings in order to integrate them.

The refined frequencies of Light and sound vibrate through your blood stream, cells, organs, bones, muscles, and tissues, thereby, enriching your sense of well-being. "Waves Of Love" By Nancy Leilah Ward

Increasing waves of energy are here, churning up foundations from deep within, affecting us on a global, collective level, rocking foundations that were built on greed and control, collapsing old ideologies that can no longer be upheld.

Sometimes I feel like I’m looking out into the world – meaning what humans are up to – with a feeling of shocked numbness, wondering, “What’s next?” There are some people who want to move us backwards, to resist the changes that are happening in human consciousness In the larger, collective picture, when it looks like we’re moving backward, it’s actually a retrograde before the wave of change comes forward, like the water receding before the wave comes in, for there is truly no going backwards and we will see this playing out in our world in the coming months. This is also appearing in our personal lives as we notice we can no longer tolerate certain discordant attitudes or opinions held by friends or family that we once brushed aside. We will see changes in relationships and circumstances in our lives. We can no longer hide from what doesn’t resonate with us. Whether it be a job, a friendship, where we live, with whom we live, and so on, we will be letting go of old ways that no longer serve.

We have been in a slow, steady increase of waves of change and in the next few months there will be an acceleration in the frequency – energetically and in “time” – of waves that shake the foundations of our very civilization. Our entire way of living here – and this goes for most cultures all around the world – based on fear, lack and hoarding, which has led to exploitation of the Earth and Human Beings – is coming to an end.

And here we are, in the middle of it – at times surfing the waves, or other times, falling into the waves or being pushed under or caught in rip currents that pull us far from shore into delusion, we are navigating this with messy grace. For, yes, there is grace here, even if you may not feel it at times, there is grace if you come into stillness and stop resisting the changes. Resistance will only lead to struggle and pain.

Are there things you feel you need to change in your life? Even if it is something small – make changes – no matter how small, any change made will set up an energetic shift in your life, changing your trajectory. Learning or trying something new will also have a similar effect.

Nurture Your Comfort Zone Look towards what brings comfort to you. We will be needing the small moments of comfort as our world rocks and rolls in the incoming waves. Comfort brings a bit of stability and helps us to focus on the moment.

We are not alone. We have Divine guidance – even if we don’t feel it at times. Divine guidance is with us if we but clear out the noise of our thoughts and let go of resistance to change.

Message from the Vastness of Being Tuning in for a message: Another school shooting – 19 elementary school students and two teachers gunned down by an 18 year old boy.

And two weeks before, an 18 year old boy gunned down people in a supermarket. Not to mention shootings that take place almost every Page | 120

day. WTF is going on in America?

I feel like the timeline has taken a turn into the darkness.

Unfortunately, humanity hasn’t moved the dial yet from arrogance, fear and control, to compassion, cooperation and respect. What feeds the mind, feeds the heart. What people focus on, feeds their actions and perceptions.

There are many hard experiences happening for humanity’s shell to crack open, to be brought to their knees. Humanity is journeying in the dark night of the soul at the moment. Rage is bubbling up from within and erupting like little volcanoes and large volcanoes. This is a cleansing.

There is no way to make sense of these killings. It is not really that the people involved “signed up” for this. They got caught in the cross hairs of a society controlled and manipulated by people who don’t even know they have a soul. They are detached from Nature, and from the nature of their own beings, driven by greed for power and money.

They often layer religious righteousness on top of their actions, a false and dark veneer that infiltrates into their consciousness and physical being. Tendrils of cruelty and malice reach into their hearts, their organs, their very being. This destructive energy will implode within them, along with the crumbling foundation upon which their lives and beliefs are built. We are speaking of the influencers – those in the public eye who influence thoughts and beliefs for their own gain.

Others, impressionable, traumatized in some way, get drawn into rigid beliefs or just have so much anger that plugs them into the malice and cruelty which fuels actions that ravage people’s lives.

Love and Light The “love and Light” people speak of sending into the ethers – into the consciousness of humanity, has great potential to bring about a shift into an expanded consciousness. We know it sounds as tired as “thoughts and prayers” but if people truly send love, which is also a form of light – we are speaking energetically here – there is a soothing and softening effect that happens, and a rising of frequency accompanied by a falling away of energetic structures of density. We suggest, when using light frequencies, you envision soft light – Page | 121

perhaps not white light, but a golden rose light with sparkles of white.

This may sound absurd to some, but in the quantum field, there is true transformational power in working with light frequencies accompanied by love and compassion.

Now is the time to sit in meditation and raise the feeling of love and compassion within you and send it out into the consciousness of humanity. You can concentrate it into specific areas, or you can send it in a more general way. Don’t force it, do it only when you are truly able to gather the feeling of love and heart felt compassion within you.

And when you cannot connect to those feelings, find your comfort zone where you can nurture and nourish yourself.

Always take care of yourselves. Many are feeling sudden waves of sadness and grief and find themselves crying for no apparent reason.

Others are feeling a numbness, like they are moving through their lives in a kind of daze. At times you may feel disconnected and rudderless. Humanity is in a liminal space – an in between place – as so much of what “reality” has been based on is crumbling. This is happening all over the world. The foundation is dissolving, leaving people ungrounded. Know that this is a transformation. Feel your feelings. When you cry for no reason, you are helping the collective consciousness process deep emotions. This experience reveals how deeply connected you all are. This is the evolutionary transformation that is happening. You are not alone, you literally share consciousness with one another. Unity consciousness.

Be careful about your judgments of one another. So much hatred is being sent to certain individuals who are on prominent display – playing out dramas in the world. Compassion is needed. There is a deadly frequency of wanting to see others suffer that is flowing through people who don’t realize that they are a conduit for this destructive energy. It is time for people to take responsibility for the energy they are running through their being and radiating into the world. Pay attention and try not to get caught up in group-think.

When you are drawn into group opinions, there is a rigidness of thought and feelings that stop the flow of life force energy and leads to hatred. Back away, rise above judgment and self-righteousness and become a witness. Compassion is needed. Love is needed. Start Page | 122

within.

Sit in nature, send your energy into the Earth, connect with the magnificent nature of this planet. Feel how incredible it is to be here, in a body, in this physical realm in this moment of transformation.

Know that you are part of a shift in consciousness that Humanity is undergoing and know that your focus, your willingness to love and feel compassion, is a vital part of the tapestry of the collective consciousness and energetic emanations of Humanity. Turning your mindful attention towards love and kindness will help to bring about an evolutionary shift changing the trajectory of Humanity into a thriving, collaborative organism of creative Being.
